Excellent and simple explanation of the Blue Economy concept. Thanks, Gunther! Now, how to mobilize this generation of cooperative, innovative entrepreneurs...
Read the case of the week - Water from Air The cycle of evaporation, condensation and precipitation is known as the water cycle. It is a natural system that has been widely described and studied. Several inventors have focused on capturing vapor through the control of the dew point. Actually, the water-from air devices use...
The Green Economy proponents I've heard also argue against high cost and inefficiency. For example, the coffee model presented here would find no objection from them. So I'm having a hard time distinguishing the Blue Economy from the Green. I thought the Blue Economy would deal with the oceans and marine ecology, which are also suffering from the excesses of human activity, and that there could be a link between the two. When there's no agreement on definitions, it makes policy that much harder.
We have to go further of what is done so far. I guess we agree! Garbage is indeed a problem that can be transformed in a solution with good ideas. Regarding organic food, why the dichotomy between local not organic or internationally traded organic? The answer is local organic, right? Changing consumption patterns is also part of of the solution so we could start forgetting about getting all, all the time. That is just un-sustainable.

This doesn't take into account that when you recycle, people buy less and thus the economy is harmed
