I'm sure there are plenty of talented dudes out there who have portrayed Roger and been amazing but NO ONE will ever come close to Adam, his voice is just so damn powerful.
I was incredibly lucky to be able to see Adam and Anthony when they both reprised their roles on Broadway. My best friend and I were sitting next to the theater's front doors eating lunch on the sidewalk as we waited for the place to open, when a car pulled out and Adam got out. He walked right past us, and he smiled as we sat there with our jaws hanging open. He pointed at us and said, "You two enjoy the show," and kept on walking. To this day it's still the sexiest thing that has ever happened to me.
The original and still the best. Amazing, after all these years. He still sounds incredible. And looks incredible. I feel like his star should have been bigger on Broadway.
I've watched this way too many times, mostly for that one note. Yes, that one. Thank you to the awesome human who recorded this! Knowing that this song has been with him for so long and how it still connects and comes straight from his heart, after all these years is incredible.
Adam is the only one who can sing this song! He has an awesome voice. I would never see Rent with anyone else but the original cast. I love the Rent movie because the movie brings the play to life. I must have seen it 100 times since it came out in 2005. ❤
If anyone's interested, he was also in Alleluia! The Devil's Carnival, the sequel to The Devil's Carnival. He's joined with Paul Sorvino, Emilie Autumn, Dayton Callie, Ted Neely (from Jesus Christ Superstar) and Barry Bostwick (from Rocky Horror Picture Show).
@@danceten7305 do you have a recording of the whole event? Adam Pascal in that outfit is something I need to see more of. It's just so just ridiculous looking
@@ghostking7853 I don’t since no recordings of the show were permitted. I just have this bonus performance. But the show itself was incredible. Definitely check it out when it tours again.
I'm a little confused - does anyone know why he did this? Like, I'm not complaining, but as far as I'm aware, the date it was performed isn't really significant? To my knowledge, it's not the anniversary of Larson's death or of Rent opening on Broadway, or anything like that?
Did he do this after every show??? Oh man that's got to be tiring 😫, I would be sick of this song with the amount of times he's had to perform that song.
You mean as an acting performance? Clearly this is kind of just an impromptu casual kind of thing. (I mean it was probably planned but that's the feeling of it). Vocally he's as great here as he's always been.

Two things. Adam Pascal was put on Earth to play Roger. This was AMAZING. Number two, thanks for recording and posting!

Can't believe that he's 49 years old. He still look like in his 20's
He doesn't age, it's a fact.
I Love rob mclures face in the background when he hits the high note
Omg. Timeless. Nobody else can sing this song and resonate so intensely in your bones.
No
Body
Ever.

Anna, you summed it up so perfectly!
One of the best voices ever...and truly hot. The whole enchilada.
He's truly owned this beautiful song.

I think this confirms that Jonathan Larson was just the Shakespeare of musical theatre
So in love with him
Same

I want him to sing that again. In that outfit. In my shower.
Bogmire42 the biggest mood of 2018
The 1 person who disliked this.... is not a true fan.
I love this man
Okay this is awesome, he has still got it
I Was there! So AWESOME!!!!
God bless the person that recorded this.
I'm fairly certain I'd have reacted the same way Rob Mcclure did.🤣

Such a good recording!

Cool that Theo got into theater when No Vacancy broke up
He really gives me David Bowie vibes, amazing
the only one who should be singing this sonh
what a codpiece
What is this from?
Song is from "Rent". Performance was as a fundraiser after he performed in the musical "Something Rotten". Thus the costume!

This is really very not that good.
