Leaving the resonators on with the atak was a counter intuitive move, customer took two steps forward and one step back by not cutting those off
It is a fine line between loud and good and loud and annoying. 😅

I feel like the resonators on the white truck make it sound really airy and less throaty. For the vehicles in the video, I prefer the touring, but that atak sounds best on a vehicle without resonators.
Wonder why they have to partially collapse the pipe coming out of the drivers side converter? I’ve been researching a little bit between Borla and Flowmaster exhaust for my ‘21 5.3 single side exit but I’d like to run two black tip side exit system with it still having a mild sound. Any thoughts? I’ve hearsythe Borla S system is nice.
It comes on GMC AT4 Preformces Package ... a little loader with out the resonators. I had it added when I bought my 2020 ....

Both systems will get louder once the packing material breaks in. I rather have the S-Type over the Atak and Touring. Not to loud. Not to quiet.
That's how I feel. I got the S-Type for my ram and its literally the perfect system. Its super quiet when you're cruising along, but when you give it gas, oh fuck it sounds amazing lol

Not a Chevy fan BUT the current generation Silverado's are the nicest looking trucks on the market. They really hit the mark with that front end to the point even base models look good (in contrast to Toyota making their new Tundra as ugly as possible). Now if only they'd make the 2019 up V8s a little more reliable.
yep and the 8 speed trans were garbage too. I hope they discontinued them now that the 10 speeds are out. I got rid of my 2019 Silverado in about a year and a half, way too many issues....Transmission shudder, oil cooling lines broke apart, etc...

However the resonators and lower diameter pipe are killing the ATAK's sound alittle bit
I'd probably go a notch higher than Touring, with S-Type/XR-1.

Whyyyyyyyy do people thinks that used to be a “3rd” converter. Lmao. They used to put a RESONATOR there. It was never a converter! Sheesh. The resonators are obviously in the duals now.
I just called real truck about buying the borla atak crate muffler. I think it's like $259.00 or something like that. I have a 2014 Silverado crew cab 4x4 with the 5.3 in it. I used the borla atak product number you gave in another video and the guy said you can't buy just the muffler. He said you have to buy the whole catback system. Is that true or is he just trying to sell me something? Also, where are you located? I saw the 615 area code on your sign. I have family in Lebanon and would gladly come and them so I can drop by and let you do my exhaust for me.
You can get the muffler by it’s self. Also we are located at 3560 Dickerson road, Nashville,TN 37207

@@exhaustaddicts it has options of 2.5" or 3" outside diameter and also a choice of offset or centered outlet position. Any advice there?

If you are considering these pass on them. I ordered the Borla ATAK in September of 2021 from my Corvette dealer. They did not arrive until a/4/22. It was so long I decided not install these and had found another product available. Borla with not having even made them yet refused to cancel the order. Grudgingly, I had them installed and low and behold it has an issue that generates a sound like you have a fan belt that is loose. So now I have to order a replacement for 3 to 5 months from now while driving what sounds like a souped up '72 Vega. The candle on top of the icing is that Borla will not pay for the require labor to remove their faulty product and install the new set. They do not have good customer service and will not support you their customer.
Probably because whoever installed it didn’t know what they were doing.
Any update on this? I’m considering the touring for my AT4. Please let me know. Also was it a laborer error or was it a product defect ?
