  • In addition to common invasive species such as wild boar, white-tailed deer, and coyotes, agriculture and the natural landscape in America is affected by numerous other invasive species such as swamp rats, Canadian geese, beaver, raccoon, wild turkey or wild horse.
It is estimated that there are at least 7.3 million Canadian geese living in America today, and they are wild animals that cause quite a lot of trouble for farmers and the US government.

A large portion of the North American Canada goose population is actually invasive and are not native. These Resident goose populations do not migrate and are the result of them being introduced in the 1950s in areas they are not native to.
Also you have no idea what the term endemic means. It means a species is only native to that region and nowhere else. Not one of those species listed is endemic to the United States.
There are also places in North America where white tail deer and turkeys aren’t native.

While wild horses are undoubtedly majestic, their impact on farmland can be devastating when their population exceeds the land's carrying capacity. It's important to strike a balance that ensures the conservation of these animals while also protecting farmland. Through responsible management practices, such as fertility control and range monitoring, we can strive to mitigate the negative impacts of wild horses on agricultural areas. Collaboration between stakeholders is crucial in finding sustainable solutions that consider both the ecological and agricultural needs.
