The meaning of the song (and album) title is (and I'm quoting wikipedia here, because it explains it better than I ever can) "The Greek phrase "Κατά τον δαίμονα εαυτού" may be translated in several ways, including as "do what thou wilt", a quote associated with Aleister Crowley and Thelema. Sakis Tolis contended that this was the label's translation of the Greek phrase, and a more accurate translation is "true to your own spirit", which better fits the subject matter of the album." I actually hadn't noticed that the guitars don't match what's being played, but I'm usually clueless anyway ^^". Would love to see more Rotting Christ reactions - especially since they have such a huge catalogue to pick from!

@@gen-xennial3826 No. You are wrong my friend. The word Daimonas (Demonas) in ancient greek first appears on Socrates who had used this word to explain his "inner voice", what today we may call consience. Early christians used the word Daimon to translate it with an evil conotation in order to make Pagans sound evil. As such, Demon is translated as you know, while its original meaning, and used on this song is consience. Thus the title means do as your consience demands. It is also writen on the tomb of Jim Morrison.

ΚΑΤΑ has two meanings: against and according to.
In this case I think that it means "according to my inner demon", which pretty much means acting according to your gut or inner voice, pretty much the same demon that Socrates used to listen to :)
