- In this video we are reacting to this years publics favorite contestant from Poland: JANN with "GLADIATOR". We support you.
We would love to hear your thoughts, and together enjoy this countdown period until the party starts in Liverpool in May.
He wrote the lyrics, did the music, the costume, choreography and it's his first TV appearance.
And he had 10 days to prepare without any help !
Thanks for your reaction! It means a lot to us Poles since people here are literally furious you can’t even imagine haha. Unfortunately this situation made a lot of people start hating on Blanka on her socials, which is really wrong in my opinion. Her song and performance were far worse there’s no doubt about it, but it is Polish television that should be criticized for this rigged contest, not the participants.
Yes, you're right, people exaggerate with hate and should focus primarily on TVP. But don't let Blanka play innocent. From the beginning she was promoted by TVP and it suited her very well.
Sure, Blanka is by far not the only one to blame. But she was in on it all and said something about 'oooh i was soooo surprised'. She 's 'best friend' with the son of the jury boss lady. Her choreographer is another jury member. She knew exactly what was happening and playe along happily. She wanted to be in the spotlight of Eurovision. Now she is. Nobody ever said being in the spotlight is only about being loved.
I was thinking that as well until blanka posted that dreadfull post in which she blatantly acts as if she didnt know what is going on like come on!

Recently Blanka has been liking comments that heavily insult other artists, Jann in particular of course, so I think she brought it upon herself.
He's incredible. It's such a huge shame he didn't win. The performance was everything!
The song itself is insanely hard (skipping in the range, falsetto, gritt, rap, hell I don't even know the name of the ending vocal). He's just a whole package with awesome dancing, attitude and style.
We just simply need more of him.

Why would anyone who's not part of the LGTBQIA community even be affected by a homophobic jury? You're just making things up, I won't deny that people in the jury were homophobic, but it doesn't affect him, maybe his vocals were just awful. And 4th place doesn't even sound like they downgraded it.

We Poles, love this guy. 2 weeks ago he was almost noname. After this performance everybody talks about him and he started to be famous here in Poland.
Jann is charismatic, very talented person. He was singing in Opera as a kid. He is charming person so everybody like him. His songs are amazing.
Fun facts - this performance was his debut in television. He performed once and smash the competition.
He won televoting easily but our jury put him very low in ranking, so he did not had a chance to win. 😞 The biggest mistake of TVP, because they really drive us mad. We are very angry now.
I don't know why some people think that he is LGBT person. It doesn't matter, he never talking about his preferanses.
The main reason that jury didn't choose him was the Blanka (TVP puppet, tv wanted her to win), and main jury member Edyta Górniak (she came 2nd in 1994 at Eurovision) said that his performance was too dark for her, satanic and Jann was moving too provocative. Now everybody hates her.
Jann's performance was just perfect. He is lovely and now people support him very well, buying his EP, following on social media. It is big drama in Poland.
Now we have new star. Maybe he is not going to Liverpool but he won for us.
And it is really ironic because his song is about corruption, nepotism and this shitty stuff in showbusiness.

I forgot to tell yout that Jann composed and sung every vocal in his songs. Amazing person.
He's not LGTBQIA, probably not even an ally, and yes, it matters in the sense that when people are talking about the jury being homophobic, you gotta stress out that he's definitely not being affected by their homophobia. Otherwise, it's a private matter.

Thank you girls for this reaction, it was great! I think his little laughter was because of stress. It was his first time in front of cameras and on TV... and he invented all by himself... the song, lyrics, the moves, even his clothes - all his own choices. Sarebbe stato bello vederlo sul palco dell'ESC. Avrebbe fatto uno spettacolo meraviglioso. Io continuo a vedere tutti i video dove reagiscono alla sua esibizione e piace a tutti. E sono tutti arrabbiati per il fatto che la giuria corrotta lo ha penalizzato. Tra l'altro blanka si sta comportando in modo pessimo alimentando i messaggi in cui criticano Jann. Sono contenta che Jann stia diventando famoso anche qui in Italia.

The vote was rigged. Facts:
1) Blanka is friends with the son of Edyta Górniak who was head of the jury.
2) Her dancers are from the dance studio of yet another juror (Agustin Egurolla).
3) She's been heavily promoted and already performed in TVP, e. g. at the New Year's Eve broadcast with the same song.
4) Although Jann and Alicja were clearly the favourites, the jury strategically put them in 4th and 5th places to make sure that who the jury picked won.
5) The rules on how the winner is picked were changed a couple of days before the broadcast. In past years the winner was picked based solely on the televote but this year they decided to do it 50/50 jury's vote and televote. And they even added a disclaimer that in case of a tie, the jury's vote breaks it.
6) Probably most damning piece of info: at 3pm TVP posted that Blanka won and proceeded to quickly delete the post. The winner was officially announced around 6:30pm. There are screenshots.
The 50/50 would not even be a problem, the problem is that it wasn’t even 50/50. the ratio in the televoting didn’t count at all. As Someone correctly put it, the entire Poland except for one person could have voted for Jann and one person for Blanka and with the given jury placing she would win.

During NF, after the end of the viewers' voting, when Edyta Górniak was asked to read the votes, she said: "Yes, I think we are ready [to give the jury's votes]. To be honest, I saw some deletions and changes of minds here, so it was a difficult choice, I must tell you." The deletions and changes probably took place after the jury (or at least part of it) got to know the results of televoting. It is worth noting that three of the five members of the jury are employees of TVP. In addition, Edyta Górniak claims that she has nothing to hide and consented to TVP publishing her voting card. On top of that, on Instagram, she called the following comment "a wise observation" "In other countries, seeing such a wave of viewers' dissatisfaction, there would be some reaction and probably a change of mind. [...] TVP does it at the expense of Jann, who was robbed of victory and at the expense of Blanka who has now received a wave of criticism and has probably lost her appetite for all this Eurovision"
