I don't mind the longer videos. I'm totally engaged! I like the imprints!
The Mission is actually a great under appreciated and often forgotten Robert DeNiro films. It also has one of the best scores from Ennio Morricone.
Man, sometimes it can get overwhelming keeping up with Imprint releases, but I LOVE what they're doing down there.
13:24 I was so excited when Imprint announced City of God because its one of my all time favorites and got a much deserved upgrade
Patrick Swayze’s City of Joy is a great film! It’s so underrated and unfortunately it failed at the box office because it came out a day before the 92’ riots started. Patrick was also very upset because he really liked the movie and wanted it to succeed because of it’s important nature. I highly recommend it!
Congrats on passing the 30k subs mark. You deserve it so much!
I'm on Australia, & my November titles have only shipped today, good to hear you say Lithgow correctly, I live in a small city in NSW called Lithgow!
"I'm an old school guy" *me sarcastically shocked* "you don't say?"
You know that, but first time viewers don’t.
Oh dang Kingdom hospital well we had that on DVD, still do somewhere never thought it would make it on Blu-ray. The Hollywood video was going out of business and that was something we grabbed on our way out
Hey Heath! You should host Imprint on your podcast sometime. That would be unreal.
I’ve tried many many times! At this point, they’re one of the few companies I haven’t interviewed on my channel, but they seem to want it that way, unfortunately.
Thanks for the info 👍
I saw the Killing Fields at the cinema in 1984. Aged 13. Which I wasn't supposed to do. Such an astonishing film. I'm tempted to buy that Box Set just for that.
That's O.K. I saw cannibals and zombies films in my teens in theaters and got in because I was well developed and shaved already and they thought I was 17 or 18 lol. I got to see all those forbidden movies lol!😂
I have The War Of The Worlds 1953 4k limited edition steelbook lenticular case on pre order from Imprint. I would love to see you do an unboxing of this if you get it. Great video as always 👍
Thanks Heath!
Your enthusiasm is infectious. And I LOVE Imprint/ViaVision (I did eventually get their WICKER MAN boxed set, and I don't mind telling you that it wasn't easy), because it has enabled me to get moves such as THE DUELLISTS and HARD EIGHT on Blu with extras. I still want to get their SPACE:1999 boxed set because, all due respect to Shout Factory, the Imprint set looks better.
And I will probably try to pick up the newer AFTER DARK set. I know my wife would support that purchase; she's crazy for Andy Garcia.
love imprint love love DVDs box sets love movies
I like a lot of what Imprint does, but they need to explain their delays and release date shifting better. My order for the December bundle shipped a few days ago, which is odd, because the order I made almost two months before for the November bundle - the blu-rays highlighted in this video - is still in 'Processing'. I don't understand because all the November titles are still, according to the website, in stock.
How would you prefer them to explain their delays? Social media, emails, etc? You never know who's reading these comments.
@@CerealAtMidnight Emails would be nice. I regularly email them via the website and from my email address and usually get timely responses. Their customer service is a lot better than other boutiques, e.g. Arrow (who I think like driving their customers crazy with the way they do things)
I’ve seen a fair amount of British cinema for an American, but I have yet to see even one “Carry On” film, which is definitely a hole in my viewing repertoire.
British TV schedules used to be filled with Carry On films, but not anymore. Carry on Up the Khyber, with literally dozens of white British people donning makeup to play Indians - in a mass case of "brownface" - is one of several reasons why we don't see much of them anymore, but then again the main TV networks here don't show as many films as they used to. I'm fond of them because they are so incredibly, uniquely British and ingrained in the culture, and star some of Britain's finest comedy performers. But I would never say that they were good films. Amusing? Yes. Good? Nah.
Non-British viewers, like yourself, will probably be utterly baffled by what you see. The Carry On Films are a prime example of what might be termed "Double Entendre" cinema. (Btw, Khyber is probably my favourite Carry On; while Carry On Follow that Camel has Phil Silvers and tries to, hilariously, convince you it is set in a desert, when in actuality, it was filmed on a cold sandy beach in Sussex)
OH! I forgot about Kingdom Hospital. I have the DVD (big SK fan), so may need to upgrade down to road. Very cool, and thanks for confirming the AR.
Heath, in the Rolland Joffee box set, Patrick Swayze & Paul Newman are no longer with us as well….
Yay Carry on movies on Blu ray for the first time ..ooh Matron..
carry on jack and carry on screaming and carry on cowboy and carry on cleo came out on blu-ray in the uk a few years ago

I find for me, If I can get it and it works, then the art doesnt matter. Would I like cool art ,yeah, but that wont stop me from having something cool in my collection. I have tv episodes in those white envelopes , but they aren't available any other way, so I got em and their mine and they make my collection better in my opinion. Never pass on cool cause of artwork
Did they include the ORIGINAL ENDING (for the bonus features) on the Fabulous Stains disc? I've always wondered why they didn't include the deleted scenes on the DVD, and Lou Adler made the horrific mistake of changing the ending of the Fabulous Stains!!!
PLEASE REPLY!!
Some great stuff here. As far as I know the Carry On films have never been issued in Blu Ray.
Yes they have carry on jack and carry on screaming and carry on cowboy and carry on cleo came out on blu-ray in the uk a few years ago
I'm waiting for my Avengers set to arrive.
They don't have those horrible classification labels on them?
I like imprint but it seems like some title are way overpriced. okay I just did the conversion it's about $24 per title which isn't as outrageous as I thought. Now a good example is bar fly at 46.18 after the conversion and I wish they'd just do a standard edition and Id buy it without the documentary.
I usually wait for whenever Deep Discount does huge price cuts on Imprint titles. Every so often they put 5-15 titles on sale at $12 each, with a further 10%/15% discount whenever DD does their coupons.
You know you have a strong resemblance to Stephen king
