There are 2 corrections to be made! On Rift 4, If you choose to take WarCry, you cannot use Halt! (Halt + Banner + Shield (OR) Warcry + Guard + Shield) On Rift 5, during the channeling for "Evil Heavy Wood Strike" Use War Cry to maintain aggro or else when he uproots himself from "Raging Ent King" right after, he will charge at an ally. --- Apologies for the oversight on these two issues!
Regarding Rift4, I would suggest using Endurance more than Halt and leave the interrupting to the DPS. As a tank who's server is day7, which means Rift4 was being done for 3days already (which is day4 were artifacts are unlocked). I've experience many times wherein my Auto core skill just fucked me over while running, the slight delay made me die countless times. So IMO endurance is better for this case.
One correction at 10:04, Warcry is actually super important for that Rift. In the 2nd phase after the boss uses his tankbuster he will start attacking your allies if he's not taunted. You could maybe use Guard there instead after he smacks your ally to take the rest of the damage for them that way, letting you run a different skill instead of Warcry, but it's simplest to just taunt em.
hmm interesting point. --- 100% of the information i've put together is directly from the bosses ability breakdowns in game. none of which mention taunt really being important for this boss :x they definitely SHOULD have Taunt listed as the player action for his skill "Raging Ent King".
ultimately though, id still keep the skills the same, and would still focus around the gameplan i mentioned. --- The Warcry will grab him naturally, havent seen an issue where allys are being attacked directly (yet) but thats probably because i spam warcry =P
@@DanManREAL Weird that the ability description doesn't give any indication, I agree it definitely should. Yea the skill loadout is fine for sure, just worth noting that taunt is needed there. Spamming it will prolly work more often than not but if the timing doesn't line up you could end up with a dead party member lol. Prolly wouldn't cause a wipe though? Maybe if he picks the healer and kills em. I'm not sure how long he'll beat on other people for if not taunted, after I saw him do it once I started saving taunt for that move in 2nd phase.
@Matayis93 I JUST ran one, where warcry wasn't used, and saw it hit a dps on team, BUT its always towards the end of the fight---- so I think the wipe potential from not taunting him there is SUPER low, that's probably why they didn't add it to the cheat sheet :P
