Why do Prime drivers think they are being capped. It makes no sense. Prime doesn't make money until loads get delivered. They don't pay you, the shippers do. Prime doesn't give a shit who gets that load delivered as long as they get their cut. Someone please explain the sense in capping drivers other than "I'm a victim and someone always holding me back"
It was true before I finally quit. They only have but so many drivers and they gotta make sure everyone hits a specific average. In my case I couldn’t seem to gross more than $4500 when I went back solo and it’s not like prime drivers can pick loads. Just cause it doesn’t make sense doesn’t mean it isn’t happening. The companies been being run by senseless ass people
@GoldPhoenix that makes some sense. So, not really capping, they are just trying to spread all the freight they have available to as many drivers possible. Thats more believable than capping. Capping has a different meaning than what that is

Prime has company drivers and lease operators and this goes for all mega carriers. If prime has $5 rpm load paying $2k, they will make more profit off a company driver that makes $.40 cpm vs a lease operator that they pay $3 rpm. Company truck cost anywhere from $1 - $1.50 pm to operate (company driver pay, truck payment, insurance, fuel and other expenses). This is just an estimate and example!

You keep believing that the BIG fleets have your best interests in mind. The BIG fleets only have their own wallets and bonus pay in mind. Thats why they keep most of the pay from a load and never show you the real rate confirmation with the real pay rate from the customer. Your trucks are so butchered and improperly geared for the job they do, the only way the BIG fleets can make you think you are saving fuel is by paying "air miles" instead real driven miles. You end up losing 300 - 400 miles a week, but hey you keep doing you and wait for the day PRIME INC closes their doors yet again and strands you like these other big companies have been doing recently.

You’ve gotta stay in the west or central areas. It’s not worth waiting unless it’s coming from the west or central, especially since everything is slow right now. There might be some arguments between you and the fleet manager, but if you’re going to sit, you might as well get paid for it. You just have to stand on business and take that heated argument exchange

@@coreyjanice4631 they are exceptions to the rule. Driving in the city when traffic is less predictable is an example but by in large you stay to the right unless you are overtaking. Again not only is it courteous to your fellow "Professional" drivers, it is safer for every on the road.

I’m over here riding in the middle lane, cruise set on 58 while the white Volvos blow by. I ain’t moving either. All the time on these loads, may as well enjoy the scenery and cut fuel cost. 🤷🏻♂️

You are obstructing traffic, and in the long run burning more fuel going that slow because you truck dies on hills and has to work three times as hard getting up hills. Stay out of the way of trucks that get do the speed limit or better.

I'm a company driver and the last load changed delivery to a later date. I checked it multiple times to make sure. So I parked a at Love's down the road from drop. Wake up only to find it changed back to it's original time and now I'm 7 hours late. Dispatch don't believe me and it's a service failure. I'm recording and screenshot everything from now on.
