Fantastic presentation. I really enjoyed this. And thank you for explaining why space exploration is so important. What this will do to motivate young people to get into the sciences and engineering is simply huge. When people tell me we should not waste money on space exploration when we have so many needs here at home, I simply ask them one question. Tell me everything you remember about 1492.

Zuckerberg literally has a 1$ salary from Facebook or Meta whatever they wanna call it. They have homes and vehicles and food and travel all paid through "other compensation" associated with salary so the amount of tax is much less than the income tax you or I pay. The tax system accounts for the wealthy and provides ways for them to maintain and gain wealth in hopes of them investing it back into US industry and business. Unfortunately most take the extra money outside the country. They are all very generous with charitable donations but there's tax write offs for that as well. Don't blame the rich for the world's problem.

I've always been a fan of Michael Strahan. I'm from Texas. South Texas to be exact. Michael is from Houston. He told a story about Cowboy's Head Coach Jimmy Johnson telling Michael that the Cowboys were very interested in him and were pretty much going to draft him. Well for some reason he went to the Giants instead. Our loss. But Michael seems to be a person I could hang with. His popularity didn't go to his head. He deserves every special gift that comes to him. I'm proud to call him a fellow Texan.

Ah, so this is the state-of-the art, US version of the famous Steel Phallus festival of Japan.
The only thing I got close to as astronaut training was Six Flags Great America - on the Cajun Cliffhanger. 1986 or so. When that "Rotor" started to spin, I was pushed back to the wall just before the floor dropped. How much G-forces did I feel? Somewhere about 2 to up to 3 Gs. I may not be like Sally Ride or Christa McCauliffe or something like that but it was like I was training to be an astronaut without going to Cape Canaveral. I wonder if Michael Strahan rode on "The Rotor" as part of the training pre-blast-off.....
At 32:27 - The sonic boom you heard from the NS-19 booster happened at approximately Mach 1.3 to 1.4 speed. As the capsule re-entered, it went into the earth at less than Mach 1, and at that point, there would be no possibility of hearing a second sonic boom. But that launch and re-entry of NS-19 - was a success.

I saw the launch for myself on live TV. If I were on that rocket, I know as we go up to the 55-60 mile point to close to perigee altitude in orbit, before going back to earth, I would be almost like Neil Armstrong---an astronaut!

@@christopherkerns639 I agree that fixing the rock we're on is important. Some of the science used in finding solutions for our planet are discovered by exploring beyond it. Putting your curiosity in a box doesn't mean you find out more about that box. I.e. knowing the contents of a box only gives you so much information. How did that content get there? You have to explore the outside of the box. What is that box exposed to? Where is that box located? Are there other boxes around it? Some people limit their minds to what they can see, and some challenge their minds to what can be seen. That's an original quote for ya bud.
