They have 7studio albums: Hybrid Theory-2000 Meteora-2003 Minutes to Midnight-2007 A Thousan Suns-2010 Living Things-2012 The Hunting Party-2014 One More Light-2017
The names are Chester and Mike from the vocals. I love linkin park. This are my teen years! I still cry about some of the songs (becuase of the deep lyrics). Thanks for bringing back this old song! Try to listen to the song watching as i fall from Mike Shinoda.
This song is clearly about a relationship that didn't work out. "Inspite of the way you were mocking me, acting like I was part of your property, remembering all the times your fought with me" is literally pointing out that the female in the relationship was making fun of him and what he liked or something, stepped on him and used him, and fought with him often. Then "Not that you knew me back then" is hinting at the fact that she didn't really know his demons and his personal history, the things one may know if they are actually in a developed, trusting relationship.
The rapper is Mike Shinoda who has definitely made some songs solo that you've heard, like Remember the Name which is the song where he goes ''this is 10% luck, 20% skill, 15% concentrated power of will,'' that song gets played everywhere all the time, it might be even more well known than Linkin Park itself.
Try Faint, guilty all the same, all for nothing, new divide, papercut, from the inside, lost in the echo, a place for my head, bleed it out, brraking the habit, burn it down, given up, one step closer, pushin me away, what i've done, runaway, easier to run, nobody's listening, until it's gone or perhaps the more calm side of LP (hands held high, castle of glass, waiting for the end, robot boy, burning in the skies, my december )
their lyrics on their songs is what make linkin park the best band !!! and why so many ppl can indentify themselves in atleast one of their songs. Every songs has a meaning. R.I.P Chester Legend never die !!!
Watching this in September 2019 and I'm really enjoying how your love for Linkin Park grows with each song. This was my childhood and I'm glad you're experiencing it now. #RIPChester
I think u should listen to the songs kind of Cronologically like youre doing now, so you can notice how Linkin Park evolved through the years, because their style changed multiple times, it would be cool to see your journey through the band.
Yes I agree Imzarth, to give Mike (and Chester) credit for the evolution of Linkin Park's songs and especially lyrics, he needs to start from the beginning to the end. x
There last album is called One More Light... it was chesters last album and some of the racks on there are very touching specially because of his passing.... it's more of a pop album but it's still great.
Yo, the more i watch your LP react songs more i remmember what it felt like to listen to this band back in 2001 for the first time, i was amazed by every single song i listened, thanks for this experience :)
Although I'm surprised that you hadnt heard this before. Numb, In the end and What I've done.. three songs which almost everyone knows and loves. Plus this song is of their debut album 'hybrid theory'. It has been certified Diamond by the RIAA.
8:18 I was always a casual fan of LP but until Chester passed, I only knew about 5-10 of their songs. So beware, I went down a path that it looks like you want to go down and once I started listening to all of their songs I was HOOKED. But it was really their live performance history that, once I started going through it, I got addicted and still I am (thus the continuous search for new UA-camrs like yourself that enjoy reacting to such great music!). I love all of their music videos and albums, but they are truly one of the only bands that I see perform better live, especially Chester. In the studio versions, there's always a pinch of autotune and general production tricks that take away a hint of authenticity IMO. But for me, there are plenty of their songs that when I want to listen to it, I would choose concert footage over the song itself on iTunes/Spotify. Plus the lyrics and the meanings of the songs really come alive and reach their full potential live instead of these mysterious music videos (Egypt? lol). Anyway I would recommend some live versions for you to react to but it's always better when you know the songs ahead of time. And since you haven't recognized the three you've reacted to so far (their three most recognizable tracks), I doubt that you would recognize the songs from their best performances. Plus, looking at the comments, it doesn't look like you have a shortage of studio versions to react to! It has already been recommended, but I would love to see a reaction to Faint (ua-cam.com/video/LYU-8IFcDPw/v-deo.html) it's my favorite LP music video. Just subbed, and I look forward to watching you on this journey!
I was 14 years old when I first heard this song, I'm now 32. This has always been my favorite song by LP and always my go to song when I need a lift me up. LP had a BIG impact on my life!
Yes they have new songs but its not something everybody likes. LP is my favorite band i grew up with them and I've learned to adapt to their styles and enjoy pretty much every album they put out. They went from Nu-Metal to Alternative to Electronic rock to Hard Rock/Punkish to Pop. Especially the last Album didn't sit right with the so called ''fans'' But there are still some really good songs on their last album. LP is a very creative band that puts more thought into what they sing about instead of the music that comes a long with it. So if you can accept that then you can definitely enjoy some of their newer stuff.
I've been a LinkinPark fan for (whoo) over a decade now since I started high school. That said as my life changes LP helped me through the difficult times. As my life continues I keep listening to these songs and the lyrics constantly take new meaning and relate to me in new ways I never realized before. That's what makes this band so amazing.
I wish I could experience listening to all of these songs for the first time again. They are as relevant today as much as they was when they was released.
Sick to see you doing Linkin Park reactions! Mike Shinoda is the dude you're wondering about. He has released some new songs for his upcoming album that he has done in the wake of Chester's passing. Very powerful and emotional stuff.
this song along with many others he checked out are from Hybrid Theory, a fully platinum album that contains absolutely nothing but masterpieces, every single song is AAA platinum on that album, Hybrid Theory is actually quite literally THE best selling rock album in the 21st century Crawling, In The End, Papercut, With You, Runaway, One Step Closer, Points of Authority, its all Hybrid Theory
Looking at the video, vines come out as Mike is rapping about how time goes by so fast and life ticks away, showing that time is catching up to him. So there's that.
do you live in a cave ? how can you not know them ? they are legends. every song is like a fucking anthem. the lyrics and combination of insane rap and crazy voice. they are still great and well known across the globe for almost two decades. won many awards, made soundtracks for movies... for you as a hip hop / rap fan its good starting point to listen to rock music. i grew up with them, never regret.
the rapper his name is Mike Shinoda. He also has a group called Fort Minor and had a very popular song on that side project. The song is Remember The Name and served as a soundtrack for Karate kid and other movies.
another band you may like is Rage Against the Machine, Audioslave, also you should listen to linkin park live in texas. it really shows Chester's ability.
Please, react to "Bleed It Out (live in Yokohama, 2011)" On this performance, they did two breakouts; first was (short part of) "No Roads Left", and then they were playing second breakout song (unusual on "A Thousand Suns" tour) - "A Place of My Head".
You should watch some of Grace Vanderwaal's new music. She has evolved and improved so much since she was on AGT (I know, how could she get even better?). I would suggest you watch her new song Clearly, it's a reinterpretation of the 70's song 'I can see clearly now' (really only part of the original Chorus was used). But you can watch anything of her's, everything she has released is amazing.
Linkin park is my personal favorite band...and with chesters tragedy it broke my heart.. he's my favorite singer... and he's from AZ like me... and fun fact.. he wanted to be Mexican.

I suggest getting the lyrics, or you will miss a lot from him :) Keep it up bro!

His name is Mike Shinoda, he has his own "Hip-Hop-ish" band called "Fort Minor". Also, he has his stand-alone project on his "Mike Shinoda" channel.
I smiled when you started singing along. Sometimes I wish I could go back and listen to these songs for the 1st time all over again.
Linkin Park - High Volage (London 2001 live)
One of the most underrated songs out there in my opinion! ua-cam.com/video/KhZrxvNPqyA/v-deo.html
Yes. Be sure to make a reaction to this song. I got goosebumps from her.
Yes please.. That's the best rap by Mike.. Gutted at it not being used
Clean voice, rap and Rock band fit so good together, i wish there was more band like that.
Since you love rap....Linkin Park- Hands Held High. The Lyrics are really epic
Linkin Park- One Step Closer
Also check out System of a Down!
Lol are you fucking kidding me ? More well known than LP ? ;D Get your facts straight
More known than one of the best and most influential Alt Rock bands of all time? nah.
Try Faint, guilty all the same, all for nothing, new divide, papercut, from the inside, lost in the echo, a place for my head, bleed it out, brraking the habit, burn it down, given up, one step closer, pushin me away, what i've done, runaway, easier to run, nobody's listening, until it's gone

He is Mike Shinoda, he was in the song remember the name by Fort Minor
The video represents the constantly changing world and how change can make anything look different overtime.
Linkin Park has been my favorite band for a long time, and when Chester passed it was like losing a brother.
Yo, the more i watch your LP react songs more i remmember what it felt like to listen to this band back in 2001 for the first time, i was amazed by every single song i listened, thanks for this experience :)

Glen Palmer Crawling is more popular than What I've done, bro
slyfoot soldier what I've done has had higher sales, and is the band's only single to be 5x platinum certified.
Glen Palmer gotcha
