In this video, we are talking about the details of a very important number specifically focused on the low income and fixed income beneficiaries right now in 2024. We are specifically referring to $15,060 and how this is the new federal poverty line in 2024 with a family or household of one. With a household of more individuals, the federal poverty line continues to increase but this is certainly a very important metric that we want to bring to your attention because this directly relates to your eligibility and availability of other programs that you can possibly take advantage of including snap, EBT, food stamps, WIC, TANF, section 8, housing assistance, food assistance and many other programs that help the low income and fixed income in including utility assistance, LIHEAP, LIHWAP, WAP, and so many others. I now get 100$ but when hubby was getting it when he got cancer we got a whopping $ 15.oo a month so he let me use it for my coffee creamer and Splenda since I'm diabetic I think we had just enough to get bread or maybe eggs but that was back in the mid 90's when things were a lot cheaper now I get $100 since he passed 8 yrs ago

All of these programs are designed to look good and offer a very minimal level of assistance. In reality they are the bait that keeps people in the system and afraid to even try and start a business, try a side gig, or find some other way of earning some extra money. It’s the threat of losing our benefits that controls us through fear. I get it, this is a great channel for information, but in the last few years it’s been information based on hope and speculation. It’s not information that provides actionable strategies to help a struggling community. What can we do in a world where our government is the enemy and we cannot even afford to eat. We are no longer in a time of cost cutting or discount shopping. It’s now entered the time of no money, no food, no bed.

Yep I'm 64 years old I've worked all my life supporting my three kids are grown widow making 914 a month fighting social security for my widow's benefits yeah now you got to have three times amount of the rent and all that kind of stuff don't let nobody fool you it's hard out there

I get SSI me I take in feels about and I never get anything extra I do not get anything extra they didn't know my food stamps for $20 because I got a raise of 30 dollars on my check I do not know how I tried to get help but no don't get nowhere because they don't return or nothing my my rent rent play went up and I don't know what else to do I got a grandson's disability that he comes first and I will give him my food before I eat it because he only could have certain things it's not right the way everything is going because there's other people to a homeless and don't have anything either I do not know why they said they're going to happen and then turn around and there's always an excuse and they don't like the 200 2000 check we are supposed to receive I want to get it because all they worry about is yourself they don't have to worry about food they don't have to worry about making sure your bills are paid they don't have to worry about making sure you got a home to stay in or nothing they don't care

Awesome video thumbs up. That would be nice but it will never happen for several reasons. If the SS Office gave the low income that much money. Section 8 housing or the SNAPs or Medicaid would take it. Until Congress revamps those programs either one could take that raise from the SS Check. And they will take. The low-income people are held captive and they always will be until Congress rewrites all of them at the same time. And make them run/work together side by side. Sorry, but that is the way it is.

I am on SSI I get a low check
The low income that most receive from social security is way below 15,000. So very many retired and disabled living in poverty or below poverty. The snap, Hud, heating assistance alot of these recipients would not need to use these programs if there social security pay was high enough for them to live on.
I am on SSI n if I make any extra money they will reduce and/or cut my check off completely

Us below the poverty level suffer but its funny when they send out money like stimulus they consider 75,000 low income for one 150,000 for house hold of 2 I think they need to get there heads out of there butt and take care of the people thats suffering not if you make $75,000
