What shape was the Baywindow double cab in ? I wouldn't mind having it or one of those early Baywindow busses. The 13 window deluxe needs a repair job done on it like John Jones at KCW fone on his barndoor deluxe that fell off a cliff . I wouldn't mind going at it with a porta power, some wood blocks, and some body hammers. Straighten it out the best you could, do any rust repair that it needed , stab a motor in it and ride

Great rusty finds. That 63 panel was kind of an ode to the Partridge family bus, I recon. A Partridge family fan was feeling to insecure to paint the exterior.. ha! Cool stuff!

Great content y'all but does anyone besides me ever think to themselves "maybe we should run the plates on some of these old hippy vehicles to see if they're attached to a missing persons case?"

Where do these hoards come from?
The story is certainly one of the best parts! The owner of these busses knew the story of each, many of them were on tour with Jerry until the end. And that is when they were parked! Others were rolled and parked while on tour.
We should include stories of the busses in an upcoming video, that would be great. Thank you!!
man that is a lot of cars to just have sitting in the woods rusting away. Are any of them listed on the samba. wondering prices. when people say. they are a well versed vw person and know what they are worth. that is a WIDE spread price. I have seen guys asking mountain loads of money for something not worth what they are asking. Then I see guys who are asking prices that make sense with the condition and parts on them. Anyway seems like a gold mine sometimes. Dont know what I will buy next all depends on weather it is a good enough deal that after Im done I am not totally upside down. WONT DO THAT.....know better.
We hear ya. Mostly said that to deter anyone thinking they will be getting a huge steal, we don't want to waste anyone's time, that's for sure!
