The third section of this song is my favorite and is really fun to play. Hans Englemann wrote over 3,000 songs and I'm looking forward to learning more of them. On Halloween I will complete my Halloween series with two more songs.
The music and playing are wonderful, but I get as much pleasure at seeing the boy smile and laugh while performing. What joy. The composer couldn't have a better performer of his music. 👍👍😀❤️🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
So, I had a really nice day today, a hike to an interesting place I have never been before, and a visit to my favourite cafe, but this video was still the highlight of my day!
I just can't get enough of you, Kiddo! Your talent, your enthusiasm and your infectious smile make me smile and brighten my day. Love your Halloween series!
Terrific!!! Looks like you enjoyed playing this song very much. Love your smiles!!! You are always such a joy to watch and listen to. Thank you so much for always brightening my day!!!!!!!
I just love the way you smile while you are performing any piece of music. It’s so powerful could melt people’s heart and giving hope. Please remember this angel like smile and always have it because that is also one of the best characters you’ve given.❤❤
Dear Leander, I keep coming back to this video when I need a happy moment. You don't know the joy you're sending all over the world. Many blessings as we move out of scary Halloween time and into the season of Thanksgiving and Christmas. I can't wait to see what surprises you have in store!! (More greetings from L.A.!)
Leander, my costume is a a little old lady with white hair in a bun wearing a comfy sweater and house slippers. Wait a minute!!! That’s my every day costume. LOL!!!
@Leander-piano Hello dear Leander, even on Halloween here in Berlin children go through the streets and collect candy 😃. The shops are decorated for autumn and I also saw a few spooky characters standing around 👻. Halloween parties and pumpkin carving are also offered for the children 🎃 . There are also pumpkin exhibitions where you can see huge pumpkins and amazing carvings too . I wish you and your friends a nice Halloween day tomorrow 😱🌛✨️🎃🍭.....please don't scare us adults too much 😆 !!! Liebe Grüße Simone 🥰
I don't know how the third section could make you any happier than you are! Wonderful tune, wonderful pianist, gave me a couple of giggles and smiles along with you. Your smile is contagious, you know; don't ever lose it! I remember 'Lee', Liberace smiling a lot at the audience, and we loved it then! Wishing you and yours a spooky, happy Halloween! 👻 Jerry
Hans Engelmann, leider noch nie gehört. Your hearty laugh at 1:48 clearly reveals your favorite part of that song. Very well performed, and even though I have never heart that song before, it still plays on in my head. It has the potential to become an "Ohrwurm".
Your looking forward to learning all 3000 songs....now I can definitely believe that,. You will learn them in about 10 days!! hehe. Im joking, I know that's not what you said, but I'm looking forward to hearing more, I like this one! A big well done on another pretty flawless performance.
Your ability to learn new material quickly is simply amazing. You keep your many fans constantly in awe of your musical ability. And your obvious joy at playing and sharing music is the icing on the cake. We are really enjoying your Halloween series! Thank you, Leander!
really crazy listening to this The algo sent me here and I was so confused why but I was not ready for how cool this old piano song sounds. I feel like I can hear a story being told by the notes. Very cool and really impressive!!
Fantastic performance Leander. Your joy is contagious! Maybe sometime you could do a video telling us a bit about yourself, for example how long you've been playing piano? How much do you practice? Did you know you were talented when you first started playing? I'm so curious about your talent. I've been playing guitar for about 50 years - yes, i'm old! - and I don't have a fraction of the skill and talent you possess. And that's not a false compliment, it's the truth. You have a rare gift.
A joy to watch and hear you play as you give all your many fans joy and delight. Happy Halloween. My son-in-law's birthday is on Halloween, and I shall send him this in an e-mail birthday card. He will love it as we all do. Love, God bless, Pat
As the comments on the Monster Mash video are turned off, I will comment here. I enjoyed that: I have the album. Worth listening to. And this video, I enjoyed too. Thanks for putting some of the lesser known composers on your channel, as well as the more well known. I like the diverse range you play :)

Studying any musical instrument and refining ones musical talent, enormously boosts ones ability to succeed in many other areas, even if being a performing pianist isn't his chosen career path. Einstein was a violinist.
Where does it come from? There is never any printed music, just those little fingers dancing over the keys, taking syncopation and key changes in their stride, together with a big grin thrown in for good measure. How does he do it? Well done young man.😊
Absolutely great as usual. You are so talented and I have watched all your videos. I started piano lessons when I was 10 and now I am 78. I still play and still enjoy myself. @ thank you Leander for writing to me. It makes me very happy that a young man like you would take the time to write back to a senior like myself. Now I like to play mostly light classical pieces. I have arthritis in my hands that makes it difficult. I also was a church organist at my home here in Buffalo, New York. I started when I was 16 and played for about five years before going into the army. Thanks again and please keep up the great work. You make me very happy to listen and watch you play. Take care, Joe.
Leander, From what I understand, you learn by watching UA-cam videos. No teacher, no sheet music. Yet you post new videos of very difficult music every day. Do you have perfect pitch and total recall? If not, how do you do it?
I am getting better and better at reading sheet music but before I did not use it. Now I am trying to use it more and more because it can help me learn faster. My parents told me I have perfect pitch because if I hear a note on the piano I can say what it is even if I am in another room. When I learn a song it is easy for me to remember it because if I know the way the song goes then I know which notes to press on the piano.
