As Carol Stephens said, come up with the eye and down with the point also corrects twisting the thread. Vonna the Twisted Stitcher was where I first heard about this. She was perfecting her stitches for entering competitions. Thanks for the review.

This is the first time I've ever seen these needles and I think they are really interesting. I'm going to go out today to see if I can dig them up in this desert of craft supplies. I think they would be a bit awkward at first but you could get the hang of it quick enough. Thanks for the product tip. You're terrific!

I have these needles and I love the way they work. It does take a bit of concentration to get used to them but it actually does speed up the process. The only downside for me was that you have to look out for the thread in the eye, sometimes it will get a bit fuzzy if using a longer piece, so I would tend to use shorter lengths as we do for silks and metallics. Thank you for the video Lisa as always and enjoy your time off from work!

Really useful , thanks I was wondering what on earth those needles were for , they're on an online seller I was browsing, & I thought it seemed gimmicky!
I'm a novice , but adding to my supplies.

Hi Lisa, I used these needles for years, absolutely love them, one problem though is the 28 needle is that the eye of the needle is very fragile and breaks easily.

Wow, I feel like this would really help me! My stitches get twisted a lot. I've only been cross stitching for a few months so I love these updates 😊 Thank you!

After watching video. Tryed using normal needle. Down with point, up with eye . Works the same as double needle but without the length.

I tried these few years ago I didn't get on with it then because I was using the sewing method, but seeing you use it like this I may have to give it another try sometime thx for showing Lisa happy stitching xx

I really these but my thread kept fraying and breaking. I do stitch on 22ct and the only size was 24 that I could get. It did make my stitching neater because it stopped the thread twisting. If they exist in a 28 I’d certainly purchase some.

Hi Lisa, I’ve tried these needles before and have only one problem. They seemed to fray my threads. The place where the thread was in the eye of the needle seems to have a lot of wear and tear and that is where my threads would thin and break.

Hi Lisa. I tried them a long time ago. I personally don't like them as you have to change to another needle to run the threads under to finish off. Also it wastes thread. Thanks for sharing though. 😀

I've just got some of these. They feel very weird but I think I will like them. Do you still use yours?

Hi Lisa, I’ve seen Vonna stitch like that without that needle. She would probably like that needle. Have a great day. She’s called The Twisted Stitcher on flosstube. She did a demo on this method before.
    What country are you in?

Thanks Cheryl, I’ve followed Vonna for a long time, but I’ve not seen that upload of hers, I’ll check that one out! I’m over in the UK x

Lisa, I just watched a couple of your other videos. Your stitching is beautiful. I’m not as advanced of a stitcher as you are. I have a full coverage pattern but with 18 ct Aida fabric. I really need to switch to the 25 ct fabric. I think that it looks better.
My grandfather moved to the USA when he was 21. It was very difficult times in the UK to find a job back then. His older brother had been drafted into The Army. Anyway, I live in SoCal, USA but was brought up to love all things British. Have a great day.

Vonna has talked about the way she stitches and she said she uses a petite needle (short) and just goes down with the point and back up with the eye and voila! no twisted thread.
