Crazy how graphics advanced in such a short timeframe. Even in 1993 people thought Doom was too realistic, now we have stuff almost indistinguishable from real life.
I know it's dated but the Great Wall cinematic will never stop giving me goosebumps. The wway the blueprint escapes the page and forms a dragon head before carving its way through the landscape is *chef's kiss*.

These movies are superb and every one with the accompanying score gives me goosebumps. Imagine how much better they could be done with today's technology but studios don't wanna spend money needlessly when they can still sell games with less effort...
@@tweektweak2145 Civ with unit stacking took four iterations to reach the level of Civ IV. We'll see what 1UPT holds for us in the future. At least Civ VI went back to the Civ IV style of showing wonders, though I prefer Civ IV's stills to Civ VI's circling shots.
When I was a kid this was photorealistic
In civ 2 they had vids.
@@RevanLockheart- that wasn't the point of the comment though.

Still remember that feeling when getting the pyramids for the first time. Epic game!

I think the Great Wall is my favourite of the wonder movies, I like how the gong sound happens when the wall hits a metal circle thing lol
I absolutely love that Soren chose The Velvet Underground for the Rock & Roll wonder.
It was also the quote for the Radio tech… always liked that little touch

Started playing civ ii as a kid. Civ iv spoiled me for all other Civ games. I mean they're great- but Civ iv nailed it.
Civ 2, Alpha Centauri, Civ 4. The holy peak trio of the series.
Something tells me we could've had the World Trade Center instead of The Pentagon if that thing didn't happen.
Hoped you would do them in order they would be built. Stonehenge, Great Wall, Oracle... Internet, Space Elevator etc. Still a superb video.
It in alphabetical order at least
i realize Im kinda off topic but does anybody know of a good site to stream newly released movies online ?
