@NarrowboatWill kayak cover is frozen to the kayak. If I removed the cover it's so frozen I'd probably beable to sit in it like I was in my kayak 😆... Things can only get better .. The cows had a meat-ing to talk about their massive beef(the randy bull) 😁. Have you ever tried butyl tape instead of silicone for sealing things like that, it's what all the ocean going vessel owners swear by for sealing. Thanks for the vid and have a good Christmas Will.

When I do my morning bathroom run at 1am I check to see if you have posted yet. Something to look forward to before heading out to the shop. I'm sure I have hundreds of those screws in my shop in Buffalo. My grand parents saved every thing so I have buckets of hardware from the ranch save from the 1880's up until the 1980's It is truly unbelievable the amount of stuff we cleaned out of old sheds and barns. But I am sure my father saved a 1/2 gallon mason jar full of brass screws, it should be setting next to the brass pump up Kerosene blow torch 😏🙄

Nice video. Do you plan on continuing on the Lancaster in 2025? . I remember when Country House Gent used to do narrowboat videos. He was on the Lancaster Canal for 2 years. It definitely seems like a beautiful canal . Good luck
Hey Will, if you haven't done anything to your wood yet, I'd recommend sanding it down and using spray on polyurethane. I do some woodwork and it has worked well for me on outdoor furniture. I much prefer spraying it on vs brushing or wiping it on. The finish just comes out so much better because doesn't leave any streaks or brush marks. I usually apply it in a few thin coats instead one or two thicker ones to avoid ending up with runs in the finish. Oh, and the beard looks good. They say the touch of gray makes us look distinguished, but I think it just makes me look old. lol... Thanks for another one. Take care.
