This is actaully a kid with an original product. Unlike the kid who cut a skateboard in half.
lmao i remember that
I thought the skateboard in half was a cool design just saying and this
Who did that
I mean, didn’t he just pad some batting gloves?
That kid went to my school lols
I haven't been on the field or swung a bat in 10 years and I still want a pair. They look awesome.
Just looked at the website and had to tell myself I haven't played in forever so I don't need them, but that doesn't mean I don't want them.
There 80$ save the money

Corrie Barron yeah because you’re better than all the other ones you’re paying for quality
They are!
Now that's a good use of a sweatshop right there.
Hi imaperson i got a good lol from my that
Your probably saying this with a pair of Jordans or Nikes on your feet.

I own a pair of these gloves and they are the most comfortable I’ve ever worn! I also have the wrist support gloves and and those helped strengthen my wrist coming off a broken arm. Would definitely recommend these.
When you got bored and a 69 year old makes fun of your batting gloves.
Of course he isn't 70
@@ozumsauce2605 lmao
“Oh you pay for the best gloves for $40-$60” kid sells them for $90
Aaron Seville if he’s to be believed they don’t fall apart as quick and in economics price will always go down the more he can produce
Aaron Seville they last 3x as long though
Not to mention they also give a pair away.....with every purchase.
Aaron Seville I have a 3 dollar warranty on my gloves at dicks so anytime they rip I get a new pair for 3 dollars
How much do they cost
So essentially, you created a perfect product that your consumers only have to buy once.
They will rip just not as fast lol. Still gonna have to buy em at least once a year
same could be said about a baseball glove
@@stevecrawford333 no, it could not. Baseball gloves, good ones, will last a lifetime. I’ve got some 25 year old Rawlings gloves that just needed a little relacing and they were ready for another 25 years.
i literally bought these and used them and i've had them for a months.
They're still in perfect condition. Like i just bought them.
Bro if you take care of normal ones they can last for at least a year with no ripping at all..... I think these new Bruce bolt gloves are great, with fantastic quality. Just I have never had a problem with regular old Franklins
How are they now, I know someone with them, but they ripped in about a year and a half
I know just don’t baserun with them

@@santanajenkins5032 your name is literally sergeant_saltnpepper 69, and you’re talking about him being a lazy idiot.
Can get warstic gloves for less than half the price. Although I suppose the selling point is that these will last multiple seasons.
The title should be "18 year old's dad starts successful batting glove company"
Sanjit Matrud With already established MLB connections and pedigree... Not trying to marginalize what the kid has done but let’s be honest...
@@javiercuervo4059 EXACTLY! I'm not taking away from them either but you are right. Dad using the son a bit for marketing as well because it is a cute story. Whatever sells!
💯. They failed to mention the amount of startup capital required to launch such a product. I guarantee neither has experience in leather, materials, sampling, grading, technical design, sewing, manufacturing, etc. Just a boat load of cash. I'm by no means shitting on it/them (the branding/packaging is pretty fire actually) but to suggest this is simply another "follow your dreams" scenarios is completely false and misleading. Even with those big names out there using the product, I bet they're still in the red and won't be turning a profit anytime soon. And if it does become successful, what's to stop every major glove maker to simply offer a similar glove with premium leather..? And perhaps a better question is, why haven't they or aren't they already?
@@michaelbrandon9791 Yep I agree 100%. If they were REALLY smart they would have patented whatever special "technology" and licensed it to all the major brand names, made a chunk of cash and got out. You are right they better be prepared to sit in the red for at least the next 2-3 years.
the real question is: "do they wrinkle?"
McTighe24 I don’t know if you’re talking about an actual wrinkle, because there’s no way to avoid that if you’re using them, but if you’re talking about them crunching up, then it’s when they’re really sweaty and then you throw them into you’re bag folded. Try leaving them out flat or just put them flat into you’re bag
@@Salgod25 I've gotta try this. Thanks for the tip :D
If they really as quality leather like they say they are then there is no reason you couldn’t apply a small amount of oil to them to keep them soft and strong. Kind of like breaking in a glove
Just put some quality leather cream on them from time to time. They will last as long as a set of goats leather work gloves.
@@Salgod25 Good point about the storage. You can see that they supply a separate and full size storage device. I think this is really a wise way to protect this type of investment.
I actually got two pairs of these(long cuff) and they help my swing so much with my wrist not being able to move where it messes up my swing and the grip is amazing to. So far I haven’t gotten any rips so I will recommend them to a friend. They give a lot of wrist support also.
Does the wrist wrap help something within your swing?
Does the wrist wrap help with something within your swing
I don’t think u understand how batting gloves work
If batting gloves effect your swing, then your in for a rude awakening young blood.
They give you wrist support
Thought about grabbing a pare and then realized they were 80 bucks
thank you for giving these guys the publicity they deserve these things are the real deal
Really cool! Congrats young man! Had an idea, found his niche, made his idea come to fruition by hard work, dedication and outside the box thinking. Well done!
They kind of glanced over the fact that his dad was a manager for an MLB team
His dad was not a manager. His dad is Gard Mayer. The coach is Trey Hillman.
Mike Francis it literally said he was a mlb manager
Kyreee No, it literally did not. Cite the time stamp where anybody said Bear Mayer’s father is a MLB Manager.
@Jesse Meza you mad at his dad or your dad?

I might buy a pair for the batting cages. This is a solid product and this kid is extremely intelligent and passionate about what he does. It’s the American dream hats off to this king
Hyde park gotta have the best academics listen to those kids talk very articulate and smart
Awesome. Great to see this kid succeeding, I hope he gets the best advice to continue building his company up.
2:21 who else flinched a little?
subconsciously lol
My son just got a pair in the mail today. I usually have to buy him a new pair of gloves every 2months because they rip.
U can easily see and feel the difference in these batting gloves. Hoping these last longer
I like that buck in the background
Love this, keep up the good work men, the league needs trailblazers like this to move the game forward!
I want the white pair they look so clean and the arm sleeve 🥵 good job bear
This kid knows how to take on the challenge unlike those cheating Astros.

“He’s actually be struck by lightning twice”
Weird flex but okay lol
You have a great Dad/family to support. I look forward to what happens next in your endeavors.
Baseball has been over 100 years and many of us have played baseball at all different levels. Hands are so important in baseball and I am kicking myself for not doing what this young man did because as a catcher I knew the all the inadequacies of the equipment from the past.
These batting gloves just sound like warstic gloves. Thicker leather and a bigger cuff around your wrist. Still cool an 18 year old did this tho
Dude just used thicker material and stamped a lightning bolt on it.
I must just be overthinking my life
It’s crazy how much Bruce bolt has grown it’s one of the biggest baseball brands out there
Sounds like son had the Idea but DAD is the true designer/engineer behind these batting gloves.

These gloves are going to be one of those things that may be a little pricey but they literally will save money in the end.
My son is projected to be a first round draft pick in the top 25 and he swears by these. I'm not exactly sure what it is but they have helped my son raise his batting average. He is 6'5" & 265lbs. He tells me that he thinks the Bolts design helps his wrists stay straight or stiff thereby helping him to stay balanced and not dip during his swing.
He has always been a beast in the box. His swing is characterized has violent yet effective!! With his height and weight he produces a lot of power hence he was going through 2 or 3 pair of batting gloves A WEEK!!! We frequented Baseball Monkey before last summer when we were looking for a certain bat. He decided to give them a try and it worked out. Because my family has dual citizenship he played with the U18 team from Mexico after playing for the U.S the season before. He took 3 pair of Bolts and played for nearly 4 months with out opening the other two packs.
They are great in my opinion and he continues to use those at bat. On the field he uses Elite batting gloves under his glove. The Bolts he's using now are the same pair from jump street.
Good for this kid doing something like this. He saw a need and fulfilled it. I wish him all the luck in the world and stories like this prove that there is hope for the future!!!
Congrats kid!!!
You guys only feature kids under 20 for videos or any older too? I’m a full-time knife maker “keep grinding” is pretty literal for me!

But I’m not paying like 70 bucks for gloves
“But I'm not paying like 70 bucks for gloves” 🤓🤓🤓🤡🤡🤡
I like them. Also this kid is humble unlike a lot of the others such as joey erace
Dad starts, runs and funds the company. Kid gets all the credit. Common theme these days
It was his idea in the first place.
I actually have these, they are a little expensive but really worth it
2:50 "Terrence Gore had an unbelievably great season" That is just a huge flat out lie. WTF are you talking about. He had 50 at bats last year. And a total of 60 in his career of 6 years.
Maybe he considers 50 at bats in one year an improvement over 10 at-bats in 5 years
@@isaack7 it is. But it is still not an unbelievably great season.
And in the 67 ab in his career he only had a solid 0 hr and 15 hits
Terrence gore is the 🐐
@@Hillbillyspree from an individual perspective that's huge...🤷♀️... Life is all about perspective... From his perspective he must have made some big strides of improvement to earn those at bats

Dang I need a pair dude those like nice
I had the same $13 nike batting gloves for 3 years of travel ball 😂
Not a chance, unless you didn’t hit much. I’d run through some pretty expensive close every 1-2 months.

Best batting gloves I’ve ever used.
Without his dad being in the league his product wouldnt have gone anywhere. Kids family has millions of dollars as well to back his product threw laying the foundation for what it is today.
Chris Serrano You do what you can with the resources you have. Don’t knock this kid for being born into a rich family. He has passion for something, and it has improved the demographic that he’s shooting for.
Sound like a nature born hater.
@@Crafty1617 They're not knocking him. They're stating a fact. Without hundreds of thousands of dollars of disposable income and connections to the majors this idea would go nowhere. Perfect illustration of why the US is the way it is. Original ideas normally make others wealthy. This simple idea is going to make this kid a boatload because of dad's wealth.
Dubngrub theres been plenty of ideas that have the connections and are backed by people with limitless amounts of cash that still flop. Still has to be an idea that people can get behind in order to succeed
Yeah but his dad worked hard to be a pro baseball player. He didn't inherit his career. Dummy
When they say best players in da world and proceed to play Miami Marlins footage Lmao 😂
Just bought my first pair for the baseball season it feels amazing already
Really shows that you can improve things that already dominate the market. Also just out of curiosity since I’m not much of a baseball fan but did older batting gloves use leather at all or was it just synthetic materials at that point?
As soon as I saw this I wanted them right away.Cause my gloves I’m using right now don’t fit me and they have tears.
Lucky Mase Same
I have bought numerous pairs for my son and myself. They are amazing.
I bought a pair a year ago played as a starter the whole season and got some great hits these things are legit still in perfect condition
Wow, love this video. Really inspiring and goes to show that taking action to solve problems is the way to go instead of just talking about it. Congrats to bear and his company!
Going through a pair of batting gloves every 3-4 weeks? LMFAO. Take care of your gloves and it'll last atleast half a season.
Walked in expecting padded gloves since everyone who has ever played baseball has thought the same thing at one point but never took action. Left satisfied knowing that people never DO THINGS like this kid.
He should start making some golf gloves too!
I probably going to get these
