My parents surprised me for my 18th birthday to go see Billy at this concert... Absolutely incredible concert and Sting was just an extra surprise! Can't wait to hopefully see Billy for a third time sometime in the future!
Written for the TV show Moonlighting. Bruce Willis does a big dance routine eventually ending up dancing with Cybil Shepard. Memories of times past. Great song.
I remember when there was an episode of MOONLIGHTING titled BIG MAN ON MULBERRY STREET. I thought they just got permission from ‘Billy’s legal people’ to use the title and the song. A couple of weeks ago, on UA-cam, I watched an interview with the show creator and Executive Producer. My mouth dropped when he said Billy loved the show and wrote that song FOR a ‘David Addison’ based story. Bruce Willis KILLED the ‘acting out’ of that number on the show.
If you're seeing in a major venue, then you might see some great guests. Otherwise, prolly not. I saw him in Louisville earlier this year. No guests, except a roadie who kicked a$$ on an AC/DC song.
Wouldn't it be great if Billy Joel was a special guest at SPAC for Sting's September 7th show? For me personally, I gotta tell ya.....that would be great!!! I've seen Billy 3 times and loved every minute. It's a quick trip upstate.....how about it?...
Saw Sting & Billy Joel perform the song at the 100th performance on CBS. Truthfully, it sounded better from Sting than Billy Joel's original performance on The Bridge.
why is it when I see a woman play a trumpet I am still taken back I am taken back ? you won't get this unless you were before a certain decade. baby boomers
1) Sting must be great at karaoke 2) Mike DelGuidice could easily sing this too 3) Billy could've sang more than half a verse 4) WE NEED MORE SOUNDBOARD AUDIO!!!!
2 of my top 3 favorite musicians. Love both of them. Best concerts

A perfect song for Sting's voice....
should be an endless collaboration with all the artist's
it's a very special thing, collaborates everyone.
He could have done 'Zanzibar', but I think there are a few verses then it goes into a instrumental.Sting has jazz influences with his musical choices.
You would think, but it sounds as if he's trying to sing a little out of his range.
@@artfuldodger1286 Well, I'm gonna argue the original song is Billy singing out of range.
When I heard "Mulberry Street" on the original album, I thought, oh wow is that The Police?
A great orchestra there.. Brilliant song. Well done.. ❤
Would love to see Sting and Billy do An Englishman in New York together
That would be 😎 COOL!
I was there! What a fabulous concert! Flew to New York to see Billy in NYC. Sting and John Cougar Mellencamp were just icing on the cake!
Two of my all time favs and one of my favorite songs-- Sting nailed this and loved how Billy complements how he hits his nigh notes. Just awesome!
my two favorite solo performers. love that song
Great to see two of my greatest musical heroes together!
Perfect performance with artists together 🎸😍🎼
Total respect for each other and a perfect song. Great performance!
This made me very happy!!
Sting is like a fine wine. So fine!!!!

Friggin brilliant….
This always sounded to me like a Sting song

If you enjoyed this, might I humbly suggest listening to Consider Me Gone from Sting’s 60th birthday party
ROCK and ROLL!!!! B-)
Cool. 😎

good
Mazel on 100!
The horns are missing at the top end, who did their chart?
was thinking the same thing makes no sense
He reads well
Doc Torg he clearly does well in karaoke
Just watched this again. Absolutely terrible.
why is it when I see a woman play a trumpet I am still taken back I am taken back ? you won't get this unless you were before a certain decade. baby boomers
Rod Stewart has a woman play trumpet and sax at times
Can't believe I'm saying this, but....I like it better when Sting sings this
Guardate la versione di Billy in Russia .... Wow .... Fenomenale Billy Joel
I just love his album - The Bridge. (See what I did there?)
I was there
I wanted to see him live!
Wonder why the guitarist was denied a handshake? 🤔
Why are they playing the whole thing in a lower key? They got sting, No reason why they can't keep it up

VERY LAID BACK LIKE THEY'RE AT A BBQ
I'm pretty sure I tried to act as a democracy and if you walk down the singles hall there will be a response
This sounds flat in a different key.
I seen David A. and Matty H. last week........I was MOONLIGHTING at a bar last Tuesday on ABC street....my shift was at 9.
That drummer is CRAP...Bring back Liberty.
When Liberty plays drums he reminds me of Animal from the Muppet Show.
Those saxophones sound flat.
No voice. Sting is a bad joke
