- Wonderful Narsaq in Greenland, where I go hiking, visit a potential uranium/REE mine at Kuannersuit mountain and say hello to some friendly cows.
In fact the only cows in whole of Greenland!
My stay was very pleasant, nice temperatures, beautiful scenery and no mosquitoes.

So stoked to have been in Narsaq and say hello to the small baby cows/cattle! 😊
Just a heads up in the first 30 seconds of your video couldn't hear you speak because the music was louder than your voice
That was on purpose, it was more of an intro😊
But thanks for the heads up
Livestock and agriculture in Greenland! Wow!
Yup, I was amazed too. But the vikings also did that about 1000years ago, which was one of the reasons they called it Greenland😁
Beautiful little town
Yes, although not much is happening there, it was a very pleasant place to be and warm temperatures😎
Looks beautiful, never knew there were so many cows
Me neither😊 And yes, very beautiful, I am definitely coming back
The place Cananda and Greenland touches🇬🇱🇨🇦
Not sure what you mean? But we are neighbours after all😊
@@AlexAmasaOlsen Hans Island has been split between 🇬🇱 and 🇨🇦
Amazing video! Southern Greenland is one of my dream destinations!
It really is beautiful and if you land in Narsarsuaq, you have pretty decent options with boats, to go from town to town. Or you can take a helicopter, which on a clear day is amazing!
We love your videos ! Keep making them.
I will do😁
This is awesome! In school we were taught that Greenland was a frozen nothing just like Antarctica--not true!
Looks amazing for hiking. Those were Angus cattle. Wee bull was trying to act tough😄😄
Its very beautiful. I love Greenland and I dream to visit it in the summer ❤️🇬🇱🇩🇰
Totally!
beautiful
Yes, actually GREENland😅
Beautiful Greenland
Sure is beautiful😊
So beautiful!
It is😊
@@AlexAmasaOlsen 🙂
I wanna go to Greenland....
Nice!
It is beautiful and still not very touristy
Hey I really love the videos and one cool place I would love to see you go to is the only natural forest in greenland in the Qinngua valley near Nanortalik.
Yes!
I really want to go there!
It is pretty amazing with the trees!
Im thinking of trying to plant some in Nuuk😁
The pile of sand/rocks might be just from road-making remainders😆 I’m not sure. Qassiarsuk approximately is 50 km from Narsaq. The local beer is the BEST! Brewed in Narsaq (QaJaQ), even the water they using is from Narsaq! You’re right, they’re not the best food places in Narsaq, and they’re kinda pricey😬 but I don’t complain when I eat there, not the best, but just-ok places:) They are other cows in some other sheepfarmer places in South Greenland, but not as many as like in Narsaq (different race too, little bigger and calmer). In my opinion, South Greenland is the best place to go, most relaxing.
Your videos make me want to come to Greenland. You should tell the tourist board to pay you. Anyway, now up on on twitter and face book, like every one of them I watch
Your video are so loved by us ..a little quirky at times(❤️it) ..the cows of Narsaq.., The Blueberries & the rare earth mining decisions to be made ..immediately fell in love with Narsaq....thanks once again Alex "the dude"
Thanks Craig!
There are some decisions to be made in regards to mining for sure, hope they find a middle ground of making money, while preserving as much as possible
@@AlexAmasaOlsen can you tell me what are the major works going on at Nuuk Airport..it looks like major earth works..& because there are no roads between cities like Plamiutt & Llillusitt are the planes they use in Nuuk treated just like a bus service for 30 or so people to Kangerlussauq& then to Reykjavik..Greenland is so unique...and you live there..amazing
Craig
4:00 I discovered the same farm a few days ago on Google street view! Narsaq seems to be a quite pleasant place. I hope those gorgeous mountains won't be ruined by mining although I wouldn't be able to see them without the IT stuff the minerals are needed for...
Yes, the REE is a bitter sweet deal... We really do need them for electrification of our economies and IT equipment..
Love your videos, I am captivated!
Thanks Leif!
Awesome to have a real viking watching my videos!😉
Beautiful, mind, never seen someone get so excited about cows! Hope you were upriver of them when you filled your water bottle, I was a bit worried. Love all the stone piles at the tops and the view was gorgeous. Another great video.
Thanks!
Yes, the drinking was further upstream😅
The stone structures are called cairns pronounced like “ kern”
Loved the vlog 😘❤️
Thanks!

That’s a very nice place! 😊On what part of Greenland is that? And I saw you were not wearing a jackets sometimes, so is it a bit hot?🤔
It is in the southern part, try finding Narsaq on Google Maps.
Yes, it was full sun and around 10-15 degrees, plus no wind. So very pleasant
Hi alex..how are you?greetings from Croatia.Nuuk is very nice city and would love to wisit one day.
Hi Maja
Nuuk is nice yes and so is Croatia!
Spent some time in Dubrovnik a few years back and really enjoyed it!
Is this the part of Greenland that gave it its name by Vikings, in your opinion? And perhaps they thought all of Greenland was like this? Very lovely views. I agree with you re: mining. We need the REE's, but it has to be done sustainably with no scarring of the land(scape).
Yes, it was the vikings that gave Greenland its name😁
They would definitely have changed the name if they had gone 1000km more north😅
Enjoy seeing Greenland after reading the book, The Greenlanders. Are you near the Hvalsey Church?
The Hvalsay Church is near Qaqortoq
Alex checked out the USA deal with Greenland as worth some millions to invest in and I just found out that Irish clothing store primark are planning Greenland for store more to follow...
So Primark is planning on getting to Greenland?
Im just curious have you even been to the northern shore of Greenland. Im in search of the magnetic north!
Havent been up that far north😄
Don’t you feel sometimes lonely living in Greenland? I don’t think I would ever swapped living in warm Sydney Australia to cold Nuuk Greenland 🇬🇱
Hmmh, not really, when you have good colleagues and people around you it doesnt really matter where you live.
Im also more of an introvert, so I dont need that many people inputs😅
@@AlexAmasaOlsen I think you very nice person and you have beautiful videos about Greenland. It is so great that you showing people around the world life on Greenland ?as many people even are not aware that there is life on Greenland especially on my side of the world
Personally I do love my ten months of summer and activities you can do , beautiful beaches the nature amazing trees flowers and animals including the poison one and dangerous one around my city of Sydney
I do work as nurse in hospital so always I’m surrounded by people around me ! Hopefully one day you visit Australia 🇦🇺 😃 After all the Danish Princes is Australian 😃
Australia is nice and definitely will visit again at one point. Nevet made it to New Zealand while I was there, so I must see that island😁
Stay safe down under!
If you do allow any mining there - put VERY stringent regulations on the corporations doing it, and ensure they will be 150% liable for any damage caused by their operations.
the girl didnt come with?
She was in the north of Greenland, so didnt come with😊
to make a vlog in a restaurant with traditional products and in a supermarket to see the products and prices in euros 🙂
Will do at one point!
For people who ask "Why's Greenland named Greenland?" There's the answer.
Exactly!
Forresten, tak for at lave videoer om Grønland. Fra Aasiaat.
@@AlexAmasaOlsen I think the Vikings first arrived in greenland 🇬🇱 around Qassiarsuk in the summer, which was quite green
(By the way, the Vikings first arrived in iceland 🇮🇸 near the Vatnajökull glacier in the southeast in winter)
Probably a bull protecting his wives against you. Hahhah!
Hehe, the big one definitely was the alpha male😆
What percent of Greenland speaks english and is it worth it to move there
Not sure percentage wise, but in larger towns, alot of people.. Not sure if that helped😅
you must speak Inuit Imagine I go to US and speak Inuit
the cows look like they world be prime polar bear meat
Sure does, a good steak
Fluoride is not good for you
I found out😅
