What a wonderfull day! Windows 10, usb port 2.0 (not a 3.0)

I tried this thing, but when I put the PS1 memory card in my modded PS2, it says it needs to be formatted. What am I doing wrong?

Merci :)

Thank you for the tutorial! I do have a question though, do you know if this process will work with Windows 11?

Hey Orion, I know it's a bit strange but I was just wondering if you knew how to fix fading due to humidity on a PocketStation LCD. I put it in a box of quinoa with a dehumidifier pack to dry it as much as possible but I don't know if it will "heal" the LCD. Do you have any recommendations?

Sir, you´re a saver. Thank you for taking the time and effort to do something like this, very appreciated. One question: can this work with a generic adapter or does it specifically has to be an official one? Merci!

@@OrionSoft Yep, not a genuine card. I´ve been researching on the web and found that apparently the adapter doesn´t read unofficial cards, so i´m on the hunt for an original one. The cards themselves read fine on a real Playstation, so i´ll just transfer those saves to the genuine card and then to PC. Third party adapters seem to read both original and third party cards, and i´ve read in the comments below that someone managed to get it to work with your drivers and software. Interesting find. I´ll let you know if this worked with the original card, maybe you could add that info on the website, seems to me like a bit of important information ;)

Could you use only this adapter and this software to export data straight out of a PS2 memory card? And what format would that be? I know when you use FreeMcBoot hacking memory card to copy files to a USB flash drive (formatted to FAT32) using PS2 as an intermediary, you get a bunch of save folders named (SLUS/SLES) containing the save files when you copy it on the flash drive. Can you get folders out of the memory card containing the saves, or you get 1 file containing the saves? I need the file format to be readable by the PS2 emulator PCSX2 or I can convert the folders to a readable file. I need formats like: .bin .ps2 and others as well could work too: .pws .max .cbs. So main questions are: Is PS2 Mem card compatible with this? What format comes out? Thank you for any response.

I know I can use the method I mentioned above, but I want it to be possible to transfer PS2 saves straight to PC with this adapter, without PS2 being the intermediary.

    • @OrionSoft

PS2 save are very different from PS1, it would need an entire new tool, I know that a command line tool exist to manage PS2 save, you can use that one with this adapter, it's called "ps3mca-tool"

It's quite complex, Pocketstation emulators doesn't handle a full memory card with loading data from external save , so I don't think it's possible to extract your save from epsxe and incorporate it into a PocketStation emulator, and get it back to epsxe once you have unlocked the cards. Maybe try another emulator like no$gba which include a PocketStation emulator
