After finally getting my first backlight keyboard a few months back, I can honestly say that I could never go back to one without it. I'm a night hawk, so I tend to always be playing in the dark. It's like night and day with a backlight keyboard; no pun intended.
I never have my computer in the same room as my bed... Besides there are some silent mechanical keyboards, and once you use one you'll probably never want to go back.
Its a strictly visual feature, just to give the keyboard that gaming appeal. In terms of assisting with typing in the dark, its somewhat helpful and for that price, they should have included it.
I just ordered mine after trying it out at my brothers house and I am in love with it. Everything is where it needs to be. It's comfortable, responsive, and cleaning it is a breeze thanks to the elevated keys. Plus it has the Scrollable volume roller and the best part? A dedicated "disable windowskey" button. How sweet it that??
well, I still can game without backlight, me personally, i find it as a gimmick, and only cheap brands such as Razer uses it. If you game during the night, I think that those rubberized wasd keys should make it that you never loose you place. I prefer quality over looking nice (to and extent)
What? No it doesn't. MX Red switches make no feedback sound whatsoever; they are super quiet and do not click when pressed. These are the common industrial keys in quiet to loudest order: Red, Black, Brown, Clear, and Blue. Each have their own sound and force feedback.
ikr i play in the dark with all the shades down im a vampire i have my mini fridge next to my desk so i never have to have connections with the outside world i need a better life
Love the backlight on my razer ultimate keyboard, I also will never go back. But hate the fact certain keys stick randomly on the keyboard and you don't notice until much later.
red switches are so boring. I am a huge FPS gamer and I got blues and browns. Just feels a lot more "mechanical" to type on. What I did for my blues I just put red O rings on them to make the sound a little less loud, and makes it so you dont have to press the key down as much, Which can be very good for gaming.
I really like it but honestly Corsair makes way too much stuff. When I build a computer I don't like to have many components from the same company... Corsair is beginning to present a problem where they make such great products in every market they enter, it's hard to ignore their offerings. This is bad because it's starting to feel like I'm buying a kit. They make RAM, PSUs, cases, coolers, audio, keyboards, mice. What's next? Whole PCs like Dell or HP?
key illumination? really? that's literally the most pointless feature on keyboards - ever. if you find yourself looking down at your keyboard when typing or gaming, you need to learn some basic typing skills. otherwise a good review.
Still using this in 2024 and it's held up just fine this entire time.

Would been cool if you reveiwed the mouse intended for fps by Corsair too

The switches dont make sound, but the bottom of the key hitting the aluminum body makes the sound. It is possible typing in complete silence. :P

I hope Corsair does not go the way of Razer. Seriously, Corsair is making mostly quality products now, but I hope they don't go to plastic world. :(

bought this one used for $40 and am very impressed with build and finish. just wish it was backlit with custom colors
I have a Razer Lycosa and find it pretty nice, but I prefer using my Nostromo for FPS games, it's a lot more comfortable.
It looks quite nice. I do agree, it would be better with backlit.
You seem to know this market well enough, what's wrong with the Razer ones? Other then them being fingerprint magnets?

Please make less videos about cases and more about keyboards, mice, headsets and so on.
K90 is so much better, I have it and I love the full-size wrist-rest.
well it looks pathetic therefore gamers will not buy it aahahahhahaha
Thats why we love mechanical keyboards, brings back the "times"...
um, Cherry MX Red switches DO make noise, and a lot of it.
It's worth mentioning that the entire keyboard is not mechanical.
looking for MX browns but will have to check this out
They really killed this keyboard with no back-lighting.
What would you gain from USB 3 on a keyboard exactly?
You guys seriously make the best reviews.

@fanff3000 crap? you got to be kidding me.
The price is invalid if anything.
This keyboard or razer lycosa? For fps
I want a USB 3.0 keyboard, with a proper built-in USB 2.0 hub in it, is that too much to ask?
Wish this keyboard was backlit
4:05 did he just say fapping?
Try the cm storm quickfire pro :D
the k 90 has back lit keys
Why yes he did.
im not first
nice!
i always switch my lamp on when iam gaming ;)
I am typing very lightly right now and it still makes noise. =/ Regardless, the K90 > the K60 big time. :P
Who look at the keyboard when they play games? I don't.. Use muscle memory like me and MANY other gamers :)
you can not wake her up or lose

Half rubber domes half mechanical, yuck.
