Nice I'm looking at Inventor as a cost alternative to Catia (after using Catia for 10 years) and the fact that it has the multi solid body option is making the transition much easier,
I have found a flaw in your technique you are using B-reps if you are doing parametric modeling all the dimensions have to tie-down to the origin.
In a more complex model, you would be creating failure features each time you use a B -rep try to train yourself to create a plane offset from the UCS as a base for the sketch.
Anyway GOOD job!!!, thank you for sharing!

    Very good tutorial, thank you!
Do you know if there is a way to make a copy of the multi solid body model or assembly independent of the parent to make variations for example?

The original part can be copied and then the “make component” process can be repeated to create a new assembly. The new assembly will then be linked to the new part. Other options you may want to try are Design Assistant, Pack and Go or Vault Copy Design to create duplicates.

maybe you know also how to automatically find identical parts and rename (automatically also ) with one name for bill of materials ? :) - for correct part count identical and not.. thanks.

    hi, I face a problem
how to edit the part after we click "make a component"?
if I edit, inventor bring us to original multibody, should we redo the process of "make component" for every single modification?
    thank you

How do you add Parameters to each part, for a cut list?

I don't know my man, this si a wonderful way to make separate files without the need to use assembly, I really wished inventor was as good as fusion 360 in this aspect, 360 is more flexible in this case, one can really create completely separate components and move them around like easily. You think we should just migrate to fusion 360? seems more versatile in this way of modeling. Is this as good as it gets in inventor to create multiple components within the same part file?
