    Probably the shortest while in depth explanation to generative design. I am truly humbled :D
    at about @6:00 you say ".... much less information, or less geometry"
    I think it is actuallly more information and geometry e.g. subracting volume from a block retaining its size means greater surface area....
    I think you basically meant less volume, or filled out space, am I right?
    Again thank you for making this video! People interested in or researching a new subject always need an indepth example and explanation within your typical modern day attention span of probably much less than 10min before you even get going.
    I gues that includes the whole spectrum of younger peple be it amateur or interested person or engineer during studies or even post graduation. Not many short things about generative design, except vids that are basically advertisements MORE or less...

    I think this is Topology optimization which is basically the reverse of generative design. Still cool though!

    Thanks for the nice video. It's amazing the GUI tools, but I am very skeptical about the analysis aspects. I think it's quite dangerous to use such a crude analysis, although it's helpful I guess just to get an idea what's going on. I'd much rather just output the STL file and do a robust nonlinear FEA with realistic materials and BCs. These days it's really fast and easy to do this.

    how do you smooth out the edges of the design without having to sketch-trace-extrude? Is there a way to model after the study to smooth over the 'jagged' edges?

      Hi Brute4rce, this functionality has changed a fair bit since its initial introduction in this video. The study will always give you
      natural edges / solids that visually look jagged, in an ideal world you would use additive manufacturing techniques to manufacture the components with this bone-like structure. However, in more traditional techniques you would need to
      have more defined edges by using a hybrid of the two designs.

      Thanks by the way, the program commands had no relevance to me, but the process was fascinating.
