This sounds very haunting with Patrick on backing vocals now. Veronica Falls will always be a top band to listen to, full of great songs the time they were together. Hope the remaining members of the band are keeping strong after the tragic loss. Great drummer/vocalist he was and from those who knew him a great lad
I'm sorry. I just discovered your, their music. I like Alvvays which Waiting for something to happen reminds me of a little, some of their last album. I just got a couple of your albums on CD as I have a really nice special music doctor set up in my jeep and do a lot of driving for work and other. Anyway you are/were great and I wish you well and feel bad for your loss. I'm sure it still affects you. I've had much loss in my life of friends and acquaintances, so I kind of know a little about these matters.
@@ericpeterson6766 Lovely message Eric and am sure the remaining band members appreciate your kind words. I actually managed to get a signed frame of “waiting for something to happen” by Veronica Falls that I bought, found on eBay from this gr8 indie band and hangs with pride on my wall. Glad you like both their albums as they’re indie gems.
Pitty i only discovered this band a few days ago.. I had lost hope in these bands from the 21st century, but Veronica Falls really surprised me. The backing vocals single them out too. Sorry for what happened to their former drummer.
This brilliant song/video would help promote mental illness within our society to be less oblivious and sends a message that you should be kind to nice people if they're feeling bad.
5 years ago. The girl I loved and I chasing eachother through a field while the speaker in her backpack played this song... That was the summer I discovered good music.
+Pauline Botquin About a month after that, we were laying on top of eachother in her apartment. It was one of those days where we would just mope about in our mutual melancholy. Worse still, it was about 95 degrees in the shade that day, so we were in our underwear. She turned her head from the Aztec print pillowcase and looked into my eyes. She told me she loved me.
That's funny because 6 years ago I was eating a McRib whilst watching two twats chase *eachother* through a field. That was the summer I discovered McRibs.
Reminds me of some favorite indie pop groups from circa '92-96 such as Heavenly, Tiger Trap, Marine Girls, Go Sailor, Girls At Our Best, Aislers Set and others..In other words I like this band! (first listen)
Hipster, indie, post punk, whatever. Why do we have to put a label on everything? If you like the song, listen to it, if you don' t, then don' t. Music is there to make us happy, it' s not something to argue about. Relax.
@imchepasable Yes they borrowed stuff and evolved, from the Byrds on to The Jesus and Mary Chain to Lush and MBV, it changed and they sounded new and different, they weren't an exact pitch perfect carbon copy of what went before like this lot who are trying to sound like an 80s indie band.
I agree that the video isn't all that transcendent. I do, however, feel that the video isn't terrible. I've seen enough bad videos to know the difference. The song is awesome, and I feel like this video is more background noise than some holier than thou extension of the song.
@TylerWhocott So you're saying that twee pop and post punk aren't considered to be "hipster" music. Please, go watch a Talulah Gosh video and come back to me if you still believe that. Nah, i'm just kidding. Love this band.
@Thatsspirit Music is about tastes. If you don't like it, don't say there is no talent here. That is bad. And new bands should make new music not be somebody else.
Anyone else think a lot of their songs sound alike? Not like "they're one band - of course some of their songs will sound similar", but more like "didn't I hear them play that new song 2 years ago? what, it's a new song????"
@fucketaboutit Pretty sure I am not a rich snob or a hipster and have a really varied music taste. I still like this. It is nothing amazing but it is a nice pop song. Why not accept music for what it is rather than who you think it was made for.
Now, we have an Electric Guitar, erm.. a Drum Kit, a Bass Guitar (sort of), another Electric Guitar, Oh. That's it. Yes, well, I'm going to go & listen to my 60's & 70's Collection all the same! At least there's an Organ, Harmonica, Piano, Cello, Synthesizer, Full Orchestra, Musique Concrète Reversal Techniques, ..er Yeh I better stop there! Rock. It's so insipid & plain now.
@TheGrizzlyBand so true.. all their videos are ridiculously hipster.. I really enjoy their music too but its hard to watch these videos, its almost painful to see how apathetic they are

Such a fine band. What a pity they disbanded after only two albums.
Hi from Greece. Top tune, top video, top album.
Just heard them for the first time today. I like the sound. :)
This brilliant song/video would help promote mental illness within our society to be less oblivious and sends a message that you should be kind to nice people if they're feeling bad.
What a great band they are amazing. Roxanne Clifford's has a great soothing voice. I hope they are going to release a new album soon!

+The Ocelot good story!! :) what happened whit that girl?
+Pauline Botquin About a month after that, we were laying on top of eachother in her apartment. It was one of those days where we would just mope about in our mutual melancholy. +The Ocelot wow
That's funny because 6 years ago I was eating a McRib whilst watching two twats chase *eachother* through a field.
That was the summer I discovered McRibs.
no, you are not a villain. haha. you are totally correct. this band sounds completely like early Lush, which is a wonderful thing!!
Great band,great song,great album
Why is this band is so damn addicting? I wonder what all the flowers in this music video represent.
Their albums out quite soon now, been looking forward to it for ages. Quality indiepop!
This band got me through college !!
Just seen them live. Nice set. Met the band who were lovely (especially, Marion
Love Veronica Falls! Really great band you're from London. Proud of you compatriots! :)
Such an amazing song/video. Indie pop/rock perfection!
Saludos desde Peru.... esperando que saquen nuevo album
I wish people would stop worrying what to label this, just listen to the song.
HER DAD TAUGHT ME MUSIC TODAY C:
such a fantastic band :>

Nice!!
God I love all this indie pop hipster music.
great.
ohad from Israel
its a really good song, i love how it sounds like dark surf music
In love.
Reminds me of some favorite indie pop groups from circa '92-96 such as Heavenly, Tiger Trap, Marine Girls, Go Sailor, Girls At Our Best, Aislers Set and others..In other words I like this band! (first listen)
That feeling when you find the coolest new band in ages!
love every video u made~!
Invokes a "Carpenters" vibe mixed with "The Mamas and the Papas". Great song.
Conheci essa banda em 2015 no inverno
Deceptively simple stuff. A great band
Awesome!
I've played this at least 20 times now...I love this song....and I really want to cuddle with them. @.@
just great!
I like the video, haters gonna hate...
tune! love it!
Great song. Who cares what category it fits under.
Hipster, indie, post punk, whatever. Why do we have to put a label on everything? If you like the song, listen to it, if you don' t, then don' t. Music is there to make us happy, it' s not something to argue about. Relax.
I wish somehow you guys could make even $0.50 from every "like". Thanks for the cool music!
@TylerWhocott Am I villain for saying the sound of this particular song reminds me of a band from the early 90's by the name of Lush?
Hipster will love this
@TheGillyann Because if you label something it is then easier to find similar things, which means more potentially awesome music to explore.
great music, great people, great style, great video.. one word:GREAAAAAAT!
@TylerWhocott "keep an open mind", this should apply not only to music. I Like yo beluga whale listen 2 mexican music.
Très bonne chanson, mais le début en est meilleur que la fin.
music for winter
¿dónde demonios consigo un disco de veronica falls en México? maldita sea, no lo encuentro por ningún lado, que alguien me responda
People are more concerned with what the labels enjoy the music!
*...waiting for a letter...I know will, never get here*
hits hard that one
@@benday1218 brilliant lyric writing
I like your folksy sound
@imchepasable Yes they borrowed stuff and evolved, from the Byrds on to The Jesus and Mary Chain to Lush and MBV, it changed and they sounded new and different, they weren't an exact pitch perfect carbon copy of what went before like this lot who are trying to sound like an 80s indie band.
wow, this is the longest urban outfitters commercial i've ever seen.
@TylerWhocott
wow... youre so openminded
The more i look at Roxanne, the more attractive she becomes...O.o
Echo and the bunnymen circa 1983 :)
I agree that the video isn't all that transcendent. I do, however, feel that the video isn't terrible. I've seen enough bad videos to know the difference. The song is awesome, and I feel like this video is more background noise than some holier than thou extension of the song.
Um this is a really good band, great songs..
@Thatsspirit
How about you go an listen to a Steve Vai album ... then you can have your fill of "talent."
This could be recorded in about 1965 - not that that's a bad thing.
@TylerWhocott
So you're saying that twee pop and post punk aren't considered to be "hipster" music. Please, go watch a Talulah Gosh video and come back to me if you still believe that. Nah, i'm just kidding. Love this band.
The lead singers voice reminds me so much of Jessica griffin from the would be goods. I wonder if she was inspired by her.
@TylerWhocott if you're ever in Melbourne, Australia.. I'm shouting you a drink.
@TheFate23 What does that even mean?
@Thatsspirit Music is about tastes. If you don't like it, don't say there is no talent here. That is bad. And new bands should make new music not be somebody else.
To all the people arguing about genre, clearly it's hardcore crunk.
Anyone else think a lot of their songs sound alike? Not like "they're one band - of course some of their songs will sound similar", but more like "didn't I hear them play that new song 2 years ago? what, it's a new song????"
@TylerWhocott kudos :)
Isn't it 60s?
bonito
@yotepwn Gracias, eso haré.
how many people know "hipster" is not a genre of music....i do!
@fucketaboutit Pretty sure I am not a rich snob or a hipster and have a really varied music taste. I still like this. It is nothing amazing but it is a nice pop song. Why not accept music for what it is rather than who you think it was made for.
@fastkomplett "tumblr: the movie" Haha YES!
I like this but this sounds so much like Tallulah Gosh or Heavenly that it seems rather derivative.
Yikes........the return of COLLEGE ROCK!
Now, we have an Electric Guitar, erm.. a Drum Kit, a Bass Guitar (sort of), another Electric Guitar, Oh. That's it. Yes, well, I'm going to go & listen to my 60's & 70's Collection all the same! i know the guy with brown curlyish hair's dad!!! woo
thumbs up if you were sent here by your english teacher!
@TylerWhocott I like how you ended your appeal to reason with "or else." Way to lose any credibility you might have had.
this makes me wanna break sticks and burn books
Patrick....
fuck the "hipster" label, this music is simply good.
Gothic Surf.

@JohnNettles11

found this just by writing "i am feeling bad" :(
Damn straight no description is avabile.
Undescribable.
Doesnt matter if you a jock, a nerd, a hipster or whatever...this is music. Not school.:)
I think we should start embracing it. I'm willing to admit that I'm a total hipster.
@therealKINDLE same here, sick of the unoriginality
