Screaming “hey hey” at a burning man is always sure to get his undivided attention 😂
😂😂
he just wanted to discuss the virtues of drop-n-roll, perhaps "it's okay I'll wait"
That Knowing scene is mind-blowing. Its all taken in one shot the moment the scene with the plane starts. Detail is insane too if you pay close attention to how the plane’s wing reacts to the ground and what it hits. Phenomenal cinematography
The scariest thing is that this crash is eerily similar to that of Delta Flight 191 which crashed at DFW airport under thunderstorm conditions and also killed people on the highway
So much detail apart from the fact that they are looking in the wrong direction. Also I don't think anyone would have survived that initial impact. The fact the turbine was still turning was great attention.
@gr3yh4wk1 the people running away who got caught in the explosion would have been knocked flying and not been able to continue running. And NC shouting "Hey!" at the guy on fire is hilarious.
It's very effective and the visuals are convincing, but I think the physics is off. Of course the plane has a huge amount of inertia and the wing is relatively flimsy, but I would still have expected to see some effect on the trajectory and orientation of the fuselage at the moment the wing first impacted the road.
Also, I highly doubt that scene was all _taken_ in one shot - more likely it's just edited to make it look that way.
@@edwienot people. One person.
Delta 191 hit a car on a highway killing one person.
And it had crashed into some building(water tank?)
As outdated the CGI is for that Knowing plane crash scene, it still is a terrifying scene
Edit: Also jsut realized that in the Homelander scene, the boy's smile is seen slowly fading as he sees Homelander prepares to laser them. The boy might have been killed instantly and felt no pain, but his last feeling was probably betrayal.
It's still the great movie🤟
Knowing is free here on UA-cam
I know what I’m watching later tonight
Final Destination might've single-handedly been responsible for scaring a lot of people in regards to flying
and driving behind log trucks
😁
And riding roller coasters.
And riding trains, being in a ambulance, basically doing anything
I must be nuts… I m going to fly from Sacramento to Vegas and back. Then cross the country until Miami… 😮😮😮 why am I watching this? lol.
The problem with the Knowing scene is the cop looks behind Cage and gets spooked but the plane comes in 90 degrees from his right and out of his sight line
Not the backwards-spinning engine?
Too deep ❤
That Homelander scene gives me chills…still.
I’ll never forget seeing final destination 5 for the first time and seeing the scene from the first movie I was like “YOOOOOOOOO NOOO WAY DAWG” the twist I never knew I needed😭😂
9:18 This is an ominous scene...evil Superman)
The boys is a great series
Pro tip : never watch this before a flight.
Memento mori, mate
i have a flight in 8 days lmao
Love these vids it’s so interesting to see how each director designs a crash thank you for making these keep up the great work ps have u ever thought of doing one on train crashes
Yup, I can name 20+ movies with subway or train crashes. Maybe next time.
Man Imagine suriving that plane crashing in Knowning only for....well you know.
Kid at 8:20: MOMMM OUR CROPS BLEW UP!
Hi Movie Whisperer! I just finished watching your three Movie Plane Crash Scenes and I enjoyed them so much I Liked and Subscribed. If you want to continue with a Volume 4 you might consider looking to the Airport movies of the 1970s. The first one, Airport, only features a plane's depressurization. The second, Airport '75, features a small plane crashing into a 747 and then a landing where they almost run off the runway. The third, Airport '77, features a nifty crash landing on the ocean. For model work it looks better than the CGI of the movie "Air Force One." (Another one you could do.) Finally there's Airport '79, the Concorde, where the plane lands in the snow. Again, model work, but not too bad. I look forward to checking out your other videos! 🙂🙃🙂🙃
EDIT: Oh, you might try Superman Returns too. Superman saves a plane that falls from low earth orbit. Nifty special effects!
Nifty fx or not, I totally can't take Superhero movies serious.🙂
The Knowing scene is very impressive overall, but they got the blocking wrong for Cage and the cop. The cop looks over Cage's shoulder, directly behind him, reacting in horror at the plane coming in-but then when the camera turns, the plane is coming from a different direction, from what would have been off to the cop's right. It took me right out of the scene because it didn't make sense.
For some reason, the director changed it late in production. If you find the original teaser trailer, you can see the beginning of the original plane crash with it coming from the right direction, and it had way better CGI, too.
These are great compilations! Other mind-blowing plane crashes that I remember in movies are Alive, Flight, and Die Hard 2 (there are 2 of them). The actual crash landing in Sully is also impressive, together with the other crashes that he imagines because of PTSD. The crash that scared me the most: The one in the movie Crash of the Flight 401 (its a TV movie from 1978, no CGI, but holy hell is a horrifying sequence to watch)
Oh my yes I remember that TV movie. I think it’s the only time that I have ever seen a visualization of something that sometimes happens in violent plane crashes: deceleration that is so swift that the clothes a person is wearing are ripped off of them. If that sounds like it would be funny to see, trust me: IT IS NOT.
I mean about the only thing wrong with this compilation, is the Burning Plain one. An engine failure in a light aircraft never results in that type of crash on a flat surface. It literally dove nose down into the field before it even hit the stalks. It would have come in tail down in a glide if the pilot was conscious.
I enjoyed the interesting lead up to the disaster in Knowing
Different than your typical end of the world flick
9:34 nah homelander wildin 💀
Not sure whether there are any more in this series, but I'd like to see it feature the plane crash in Fearless (1993). I love everything about that movie other than screechy Rosie Perez.
The film opens with the scene of the aftermath of the crash, which is itself really well done, and then at intervals during the movie we get short flashbacks to the run-up. It's not until the end that we see the crash itself, all from inside the plane. It's terrifying but majestic and extremely emotional, soundtracked not by the noise in the cabin but a gorgeous string score. It honestly makes me well up whenever I watch it.
That "string score" in the crash scene in "Fearless" is from Gorecki's Symphony #3. The recording used in the movie is the version featuring Dawn Upshaw.
@@NedNickerson2010 thank you.
9:35 the SFX sounds like Flight 180's in FD1
Okay but the tie in with final destination 5 and the first one is kinda cool ngl
Thank you for flying Spirit Airlines. The money you save may be your last.
So nice seeing tenet considering i just recently watched it on tv 😁
It feels wrong to be this early
Well, it's 18:30 in my city. Maybe the time difference.
You forgot the movie Fearless with Jeff Bridges. One of the best crashes ever !
The planes have been called weak in 420 ways
You should watch 'Wild Tales' especially the tale 'Pasternak" which is the first one that appears in the movie. Great lasy scene.
Final destination shook me up a bit and I thought just the smallest things in life can kill you
Final Destination is the Jaws of flying. Scared of flying now like scared of going in the water.
The plane crash in Knowing is very well made but the fact that they are looking in a completely different direction from the plane is just... stupid! Great scene otherwise.
The TENET 747 crash scene used an actual 747 and purpose build fake airport buildings. Amazing way for an old plane to "check out", rather than slowly decay in a desert bone yard. (Yes, the explosions, etc are all special effects, the plane wasn't actually running and had no fuel onboard, the lights you see on it were on batteries.)
Knowing so underrated
I love that movie, agree it’s underrated.
When Skeeeebooooshhh goe KABOOOOM!
💸🆘
You need to do the 1993 movie "Alive." & the Denzel Washington movie "Flight."
That knowing one is horrifying
True
0:24 if this felt familiar, that's because it was a redo of "2012" - Las Vegas Airport last scene. The guy was the Fireman
5:39 this reminds me of two flight 800
The ending was unexpected
The scene where the 747 crashed into the terminal was reminiscent of the bumbling ramp official driving the plane into the terminal in Airplane!
They're supposed to evaporate due to jet fuel directors. Lol
The last final destination film was sad because the young couple cheated death to the end but wound up on the flight from the first film and killed off.

Why everything Nic Cage has been on become a meme even the serious one I kinda want to laugh
Meme actor. But still one of the greatest.
I mean it's probably the writing in this movie. But..
*sees guy burning to death*
"Hey" x 3
At least if my plane crashes I know it will look cool now
=)
I guess you could call these crash landings
Yup, but not in the title.
That second one has a problem. Not every paved or concrete surface is the same. That plane would have sunk it's gear all the way into the ground the moment it left the taxiway; it would never have made it across a parking lot.
Yet they actually did it. So wrong.
@@joewas2225
Repainting a parking ramp (for aircraft) to look like a parking lot (for cars) is NOT actually doing it, so WRONG, and quite pretending you know what you are talking about because I have parked a lot of heavy planes.
Maybe it’s a super plane!!!
0:22 it’s just a little crash🤓🤓🤓🤓👆
Zack Hample should have been in the movie
Different but I like it.
🤟

Help wtf was the final destination 7 one 😂 the damn woman i cant. This is supposed to be scary a realistic wtf was that
I love how you merged the two final destination 5 scenes, it looks good! .
That's literally how the 5th one ended.
Of these flicks, "Tenet" was pure, unadulterated garbage, whereby the last clip with Superman was a laugh-riot.
Yeah, because people would totally be walking away from the first one, on fire or not...
Knowing scene is unrealistic but spectacular
I'm sorry, please stop! Please stop, please stop, please stop, please stop
There’s also no way up plane crash

No Alive or Flight? Alive was a long crash with lots of people being sucked out. Flight had the upside-down part which was awesome and how the pilot saved the plane the entire time the co-pilot was losing his shit was epic.
Alive is in one of his earlier clip compilations. The first one I think. I didn't see Flight in the compilations. It's someone's personal favorites though so I'm sure it was left out for a reason. Maybe because we don't see much of the crash itself, just the before and after.
Please tell your followers
They will make a decision on their own.
And this is why we fly airbus
WHAT A JOKE it's NOT real footage, so why the "warning" if you cannot handle reality , dig a hole, get in , cover yourself...
It's a kindness. There are plenty of other things in the world to take offense to.
Waste of time
I'm just thinking about how much money those people paid for their seats...?
What a ripoff...

WWEEEEE 🤗
Knowing was a great movie just Lil disappointing on the ending
Agreed. I love disaster movies but once you throw aliens in the mix, it kind of becomes cartoonish. Like that one Indiana Jones movie. It stretches believability just a bit too far
