bakugo letting iida reach out to deku instead of himself is such a great parallel to the kamino arc where kirishima took bakugo's hand instead of deku! i love it, i cant believe the mangaka is really holding off on bakugo and deku's moment to reach out to each other for this long lol 😭

imo anime showed this part better than the manga. i remembered in the manga that it dragged on for a bit too long after a while but the pacing on anime fit perfectly

Watching Bakugo go from saying "KUSO NERD!" to "I Bullied you to keep you away", Enji learning how to be Nosier to become the hero someone needs, Uraraka become the *protector* than be the protected, this episode has been a ride.
They *were* planning on dropping out with Midoriya, Yaomomo said that. But due to Endeavor, they only gained permission to just get deku back and prioritize his safety. And obviously Bakugo body couldn't handle the intense speed he was going through so of course Lida was gonna be the one.

They don't need permission to drop out, they got permission to support Deku with the full backing of UA...then realized in their planning that they can't all move around searching safely against AFO. If need be, they will all leave, but right now they don't think that is the best option...and they are right.

its not just because of speed, that bakugou let him go, same as third season when deku rescue bakugou deku let kirishima call bakugou as kirishima was good friend to bakugou and unlike bakugou iida was true friend to deku. iida was the first true friend of deku thats why bakugou let iida go along with his body to handle speed. Its due to iida deku stopped after hearing the same words he said to iida when he rescued iida during stain arc

Deku crumbling into "You all have already far surpassed me" made me cry. Dude loves his friends so much. They are his goals. All Might being his ultimate goal. He fully recognizes how far he's come physically with his quirk but mentally he understands he is still so far behind some people. This Midoriya still at all moments felt like he had something to prove. Bolstered like poison with All Might and All For One's comment of "Your Next." Its so ridiculously important to have people around you to keep you in check. Fat Dub for Bakugo finally talking to "IZUKU"!!!!!

Ida being the one to get Midoriya to listen parallels how, back in Season 3, it was Kirishima who was the one who got Bakugo to listen/let them rescue him. Its also similar to how "Dimple" was the one to get Shigeo/Mob to listen to Reigen over on Mob Psycho 100.

😌And let's not forget he is only using OFA at 45% and in this scene he didn't use centrifugal force which is like a 5 fingers Delaware smash to move faster in mid air. They had to pull all the stops and they barely caught up, I mean if it was a real fight what was Ida going to do? Look at it bakugo and shoto and the other actual fighters were left behind because they couldn't manage that level of speed, and in all honesty Ida couldn't keep up with that speed for much longer 😂

Interesting that Torodoki had to tell Deku that he needs a Plan B, since his what he's trying to do ain't working. Along with being too tired, he's rushing, believing he won't have time to try something else to find AFO and Shiggy.
Todoroki is actually one of the smartest students in 1-A alongside Deku, Bakugo, and Yaoyorozu. So yea he made a lot of sense there but Deku is too fixated on trying to protect everyone

Heavy is the head that wears the crown and that crown is basically being a god in this case. Midoriya had his struggles this half of the season, but anyone else given that much power would have went mad or snapped on some pariah shit

It's not their fault. It's like the witch trials in Labyrinthia, they're not thinking clearly because fear and suspicion has taken over. It doesn't help that they lived in a peaceful society for so long and now everything's become so chaotic. What's needed is for them to be pulled back to see what's going on. To gain some perspective and be able to think beyond themselves again.
Someone pointed out that deku, apologizing to bakugo, is super neat because deku realizes he's been doing what bakugo has been doing his whole life "you aren't able to keep up with me". And that makes his apology to bakugo hit harder imo
I know how many people like and cry over bakugo apologies scene, but I like how all class want credit like koda yell to deku that's some progress to him and will change his role in final battle

I disagree with the citizens 100%. They were so pressed saying the heroes weren’t doing shit. But then want their protection at UA. Then upset that the boy that actually goes to the school and trying to save/help them is coming BACK to his school is crazy. They need to shut up and pick a side lol.
but you also got to understand that if you were in there shoes how would you react to someone who’s prone to getting attacked a lot you wouldn’t want to be around him n some of those civilians have children so protecting there kids is more important than tryna protect one kid from UA

I always thought that the things Bakugo says to Izuku at the first part of this episode were to make him smile or laugh since they were all self digs at himself. Like calling him an "Allmight wannabe" even though he put "Might" in his own hero name. And the seeing people as extras bit. Like he's trying to come off as self-unaware.

A lot of people are missing this, but the line Iida said to Deku "Meddling when you don't need to is the essence of being a hero" is the exact same thing Deku said to Iida back when he helped him fight Stain when Iida was being stubborn about accepting help.

Yea, it was really hard to wait and the hardest part for me i read Bakugo's apology chapter on the bus so i had to cry silently or else all the people think i'm sick or something, i wanted to wail so bad😅
All those people protesting and shouting should already know that no titan is making it into the inner city. None have yet. There probably isn’t even such a thing as a titan, just some story that was made up. So, they can go about living their rich little lives without fear of being trampled or eaten. 😂

Even after all that whole rescue mission and apology, Deku still not really feeling okay to stay at UA as he said. He was brought back physically, but he hasn't been fully *"saved"* yet mentally.
Deku was straight up ready to leave after all that work to get him back, but baby girl Uraraka had to grab his hand to keep him there. So in the end, she will try to complete this mission so that Deku is fully "saved".

I'm so surprised about how much people hate this episode and show recently. This has been the best season of mha by far.
This is the first time Kacchan calls me by my official name, "Izuku."
I used to call him "Deku" in a silly way because it can also be read as "deku" in Japanese when written in kanji.
Without Fa Jin, I feel like Bakugo could pull a W on Deku even with his other quirks. Fa Jin just completely makes it impossible to keep up with him.
