2 Chevron knitting stitches - one is a reversible garter stitch chevron with simple repeat pattern

This tutorial shows how to hand knit a classic Chevron stitch (or the Zigzag stitch) in 2 ways. The first one is a reversible garter stitch chevron and does not curl. The second one is the stockinette stitch chevron with a simple pattern repeat. Both are easy to knit. There are many increasing and decreasing stitches so hand knitting will be easier than machine knitting.
You can add 2 edge stitches to keep neat side edges. That can also help if you plan to join the panels together by sewing later. It makes picking up stitches easier.
