Just rec'd my Air Hawk. I have Parkinson's, I'm 83, and yet I can still assemble, fold it, and put it in trunk of car and take it out of trunk. So far I love it...still learning about it.
For anyone still looking up this video, Do yourself a favor and skip this model. Other models like the Falcon offer a far more enjoyable and easier to use experience. The Air Hawk has the fatal flaw of dual non-integrated batteries that have to be manually swapped between for use and charging. For someone that is immobile and wheelchair bound, having to get out of the chair, bend down behind the chair to swap between the batteries manually is an asinine design choice.

Hi Lili, Great Question! That depends on how the stroke has effected a patient. It does require hand and some finger dexterity to comfortably and safely operate a power chair. Taking the patient's level of ability into careful consideration is a safe approach. Many stroke survivors have these chairs and enjoy them. They also are happy they can attach the attendant controller bracket - which allows you to move the joystick from the armrest to the back of the chair for the attendant to drive. This gives preparation for various occasions.
Hello Nena, Yes, the Air Hawk can easily become a manual pushchair when the battery is empty or any other time you choose. There are two switches (one on the back or each motor) that control when the chair is in Electric power mode or manual push mode. Does the 41lb weight include the batteries? Because only being 31lbs. would make it less of a complaint with caregivers. Great looking product! Seriously thinking about buying one!
Hi LR, The Airhawk is 41lbs without batteries. Each battery weighs 5 lbs - and the chair requires just one battery to function! Wishing you everything wonderful!
