You just popped up on my home page. Glad you did. Have watched the first to videos and love the work you do. Will have to binge watch your channel to catch up 😊😊
Hello, thank you for your attention, I am glad to have found a viewer like you🤠❣💐
A very interesting restoration object and a very good restoration job. Congratulations! One small, insignificant historical correction - 1908 is not “Soviet made”.
Thank you, my friend, your comment gives me motivation and energy. Yes, I realized the mistake. This scale was produced in Poland, which was dominated by the Russians at that time.🌹🌹
good job
Thanks 😊
It’s a beautiful piece, you can see that even in it’s rusty state.
I love old and antique things and I have hundreds of items in my collection, but I love my scales the most.
I did some scales recently, a lot of work. Kudos👍👍. And a great collection of brass 👍
Thank you for your attention. Yes, I have a special interest in scales and have collected these brasspans so that one day I will put each one on a scale that needs it.
Nice work. Just a suggestion; Vinegar seems inadequate. You painted over some rust. Rust remover would work better.
Tankyou, good suggestion🤠🌹
Well done. I subscribed.
Thank you for your attention and kindness🌷🌷

Tanks bro🌹
You did a fantastic job of restoration on this. You literally brought it back from the trash heap.
P.S. you got a new subscriber.
Thank you for your positive comment, it gives me motivation and energy 🌹🌹
What do you mean exactly, can you answer without using literary presentations?
I used a spray gun, the quality of the powder paint is really higher, but in the case of antique and old items, I prefer not to damage or change the original and its identity.
Awesome thank you for protecting my eyes from the very bright light. Some people I've watched didn't have the cover over the bright light an it really hurt my eyes I had to stop watching. ✌️
Your welcome my friend🌹
😮😮😮😊😊😊❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
So emotional 😁😇
👍
Thanks 🙏
Soviet began in 1918 not 1908 or earlier and there is a crown on the scale
Yes it's completely correct
Gooood man🤍

Kindly learn the history of Europe first - the inscription is in Cyrillic, but the year of sign is 1908, when there were still 16 years left before the formation of the SSoviet Union and 9 years to "The Great October SSocialistic Revolution" - or, at that time, it would have been tSSariSSt ruSSia at most. The first stamped word above the year is unfortunately only partially legible, but it sounds with great probability "Финкерштейн" = "Finkerstein" in Cyrillic - absolutely obviously the ending of the name of a person of Jewish origin, of whom, by the way, there were a large number of people living in Poland and Warsaw in particular at that time quantity - their liquidation was "taken care of" during World War II by the German occupation and the Holocaust... And secondary - the second word of the inscription reads "ВАРШАВА" = "WARSAW", which was and is the capital of Poland - and Poland was actually occupied by tSSariSSt ruSSia in 1908. So your kitchen scale is NOT SOVIET, but was made at the beginning of the 20th century in Poland occupied by tSSariSSt ruSSia ...
Thanks for your complete information. By the way, I have some similar scales that are made in Poland, and I doubted whether they were made in Poland or the Soviet Union. I searched on the internet and did not find any results and did not recognize its language . So according to you, if I understood correctly, this scale was produced in Poland, which was occupied by the Russians at that time
@@Unique_restorations That's right, Poland has a thousand-year history, during which unfortunately it didn't always have independence - like practically all of Central Europe.
Individual parts of its territory were ruled at different times by kings and rulers from Kievan Rus, Lithuania, the Kingdom of Bohemia, the Duchy of Prussia, the order of the Teutonic Knights, sometimes even the Polish kings themselves from the Piast family or the Jagiellonian family...
In the last 300 years, the territory of Poland itself and its immediate surroundings, including the territory of today's independent states of the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Ukraine and Belarus, including the Russian enclave around Königsberg (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Königsberg = originally founded in 1255 in honor of the Czech King Přemysl Otakar II, the Crusader Knights, then the Prussian, then the German, then the Soviet) conquered and fought the Austro-Hungarian, Prussian, Tsarist-Russian empires, Poland itself led by Marshal Pilsudsky, Hitler's fascist (German) "Third Reich" and of course, the Great Communist Friend of all small and oppressed nations, "brother" Yossif Vissarionovich Dzhugashvili alias Stalin vulgo Koba, originally a Georgian robber and terrorist who joined the communist coup carried out in 1917 in Russia at the time by one of the biggest liars in world history, Vladimir Ilyich Ulyanov, who called himself Lenin. The whole thing is pretty well described on en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Poland .
Greetings from the Czech Republic by EKKAR of Bastlirna.
Helpful and thorough explanation. Thanks for your time🌷🌷
@@Unique_restorations You have nothing to be thankful for - especially watch out for those putlero-fascist scumbags who, since 2014, have been trying to restore Stalin's rule over the part of Europe that Mikhail Gorbachev with his decisions from 1989-1990 essentially freed from those red communist blood bitches.
Cast iron needs to be preheated before welding... Don't say that you did because there would have been a color change in the cast iron if you had preheated it.
Thank you for sharing your experience and knowledge with me and other friends. Can you explain more and more precisely about the point you said (we humans are learning for the rest of our lives) 🌹🌹
We have a saying "It's not a fault not to know, it's a fault not to ask"🤠
Of course, when a spot is welded, the temperature of the cast iron rises by itself to continue welding
It is Poland scale
Yes it is true
“Soviet” in 1908?
Hello, you are right. In the comments, one of my friends explained the full history of this model of scale from its inscription, which in summary is that this scale was made in 1908 in Poland, which was occupied by the Russians.
Indeed, Canada is still occupied by Great Britain, since its head is the King of Canada, who is also the king of Great Britain.
🙁
It couldn't be "Soviet made" in 1908: Soviet Union was created in 1922
Hello, yes, your point is absolutely correct
not bad but if it is soviet made it would have to be made after 1917... if it was made in 1908 it isn't soviet
Yes, you are absolutely right, this scale was produced in 1908 in Poland, which was dominated by the Russians
@@Unique_restorations, poland territory at that time was divided between Russian and Austro-Hungarian empires. It wasn''t occupied, it was just a part of those empires. Occupation does not imply recognition of the territory as one’s own.
Nevertheless the work is magnificent, thank you!
@peter_shilin Thank you for your historical information. You mean that the country of Poland did not exist at that time
There was no Soviet Union in 1908.
Yes, it is true that this scale was made in 1908 in Poland, which was dominated by the Russians at that time🌹🌹
SOVIET Russia in 1908 ???
🤠 big mistake
If it is 1908 vintage, it is RUSSIAN made, not Soviet.
In fact, as one of my friends translated the writing on the inscription and mentioned it in the comments, this scale was produced by a Jewish person in Poland, which was occupied by the Russians at that time.
If you only paint a scale isnt a restoration
Hello friend, I didn't understand what you mean
@@Unique_restorations
I believe that simply repainting an antique object does not mean you are restoring it
I think it was a little more than just painting😇
@@Unique_restorations
and would you like to explain it to me?
Ok you are right
1908, Russia not Soviet.
Yes that's right 👌👌
Soviet? In 1908? Really?
Yes, you are right, I corrected it in the comments🌷
