    I love it that right out of the gate Buckethead just says "fuck taking my time" & just unleashes the unholy hell of nasty lead work right away. There's no fucking around here. Just top notch playing & tasty note choices. It's a 3 minute pocket of perfection!! When he goes into that rhythm guitar riff at 2:46 to the finale it just makes sense. I dig his rhythm guitar work just as much as his lead guitar. There's always something I can focus on with his guitar style & I'm digging that rhythm on this one.

    @azkeyz The studio version has more of the crazy tapping/computer getting assraped sounds, but the live version is a lot more fun to listen to, and it doesn't have as many notes played out of key.

    I totally understand what you mean, I'm the same way. I enjoy that I don't have a favorite band or song because I like such a variety of music. Categorizing something really does take a lot away from it. I suppose that's why things are beautiful - because we don't understand them. Once you place some kind of measurement against it, it loses that "thing" that just makes it special.

    i love the way he plays his songs live, i mean he plays some parts as they are in the cd and he improvises at the same time. i think that all guitarists must do that, improvise good solos, not shredding but put some emotion on their solos like buckethead does, i dont wanna hear live wahat i hear on a cd: buckethead is a perfect example of a good guitar player ,l..l(o.0)l..l,

    I think he does he doesn't move around because for him it's about the music, and he wants his sound to be emphasized more than anything else so he doesn't want to distract from anything. If you watch any videos of him playing off stage he really gets into and moves to it.

    You're not the only one, mate. I adore them both because they both play from the heart and as they're different people, they sound different. It's like comparing Led Zeppelin to The Who...if they were the same you could accurately compare them, but since they're not, you can't. It all simply comes down to taste. Peace!

    Alternate is up and down, whereas 'economy picking' is downstrokes on each new string that you've moved down onto and upstrokes on any new string you move up onto. I'm not surprised Frankenstein hasn't replied... He's probably swaying in the breeze.

    lots of times, can't say I give a crap about it. Just gives it a bit more friendly touch I think, he's just a regular guy who want to put on a show for you to make you enjoy yourself.
    Buckethead has never been about the money, or the fame, he just wants to play beautiful music for us so we can enjoy, and he be happy inside because we appreciate his art :)

    It's not that blurry, it's for sometime between 1985and 1990, it's from an article in a guitar magazine where he won a guitar solo contest. Basically he's regular looking, just tall

  • @1slowhead
    @1slowhead 16 років тому

    ...I turned to Buckethead as one of my idols, to try to emulate some of his jazz-like stuff. I've found changing my sloppy playing to be very time consuming (not any fun!!) and it would only serve to make other people go, "wow, he can sweep pick..." etc.
    So now I actually focus on developing my own style further rather than to master the advanced techniques.
    I'll never be the best at fast guitar because my motor movements are comparatively slow. So now I've gone back to writing weird stuff!

    @doug44292 NO, he was saying that he thought that particular solo was crap and this video deserves more views.I agree to a certain degree,that the god father solo doesn't deserve so many views, but his other work definitely does though as Slash is a very talented guitarist. I have to say though, this solo here really suprised me :D
