I have used the 29 Ltd classic for ever .I think I have 3 in the shed on the shelf. My favorite radio is a old one I got 40 years ago. It's a BJ Mccoy 21 channel Midland convoy buddy. I got from Montgomery Wards mail order catalog when I was 15. I got it for my first car. I didn't have yet. It still looks good and works great. I even have the box it came in.
Im thinking about getting back into CB, its been since the early 90's, I live in town now and will have a base station, how high do you suggest setting an antenna so I am not bleeding over all the neighbors electronics, Ill probably use a linear amp so I can talk further. Thanks in advance to anyone that can answer this.
Modern electronics are not “really” gonna be affected by CB unless you’re running ALOT of power. It’s more likely your radio will be affected the the hash put off by their cheap electronics, and raise your noise floor. I recommend putting your antenna 1/2 of the wave length of the band you’re transmitting on. On CB 15 to 18 feet at the base of the antenna is plenty.
I still have my old school CB from back in the 80's! 👍💯🇺🇲♥️ I'd have to look what it is. Miss those days!! ☹️
