    The guys have got this completely the wrong way around. It's easy to make those decisions when you've a trophy room of silverware because people will look at that and say, "He's got the receipts". The the real measure of a manager is if they make those huge decisions, will they maintain their rules or bend, when they don't have that behind them. That's where a successful manager can be made, if they have the self belief to stay true to their philosophy from the start. It's easy to forget that SAF also had to build himself up from no trophies. Winning first in Scotland, moving to England and then rebuilding from there. It's the fact he had those principles from the start that made him a winner. It's why I think Arteta has promise, as he has shown that streak and it's why I think Ten Hag in time can also be a success as he is showing it as well. The problem however, is these things need to stop being played out in the media. SAF kept United's issues majoritively in house.

    • @ViolentEpyon
      @ViolentEpyon Рік тому +4

      But the difference between Arteta and ETH's respective situations is that Arteta kept everything in house. Managers positions aren't nearly as stable as they were back in Ferguson's day but even then they wasn't all that stable, a manager has to maintain the trust of their dressing room or they could potientially lose it.
      As much as people may praise ETH's honesty in that interview, it damages the trust between player and manager. Something that might be okay IF you have a number of trophies as a manager because you can prove your philosophy works, but if you're relatively unproven as a manager then it may leave an element of doubt with your squad which effects results which then fuels the doubters, and both managers have their doubters.

      The difference is that Arteta would of kept that drama out of the press while ETH exasperated the issue by taking the loss out on Sancho who wasn't selected. All Sancho did was respond to getting throw under the bus and then refuse to apologize for his response to being thrown under the bus.
      Auba never got thrown under the bus. He was told to sit, And then left on a free to Barca

    • @ViolentEpyon

    Sancho was a LW & he joined a team whose team's legacy player is a LW Rashford. With Garnacho also coming up, that's 3 LWs who need game time for their development/skills. Even worse, they repeated that with buying Bruno who is a CAM, when McTominay is a CAM(his goal instinct & his lack of positioning, tracking or passing makes him a CAM at most), then bought Van Debeek who is also an attack minded midfielder. Sancho's failure is the failure of Man misprofiling players.

    Of course, missing that penalty would've been hard to take but you've seen Rashford and Saka knuckle down and find some form back (same with Harry Kane after the World Cup).
    This saga only shows Sancho's childish attitude (like at Dortmund) and his lack of ability to deal with criticism especially when he's a £300k per week footballer who's underperforming. It would happen to every other average person on a high wage and isn't doing their job very well but somehow these players feel entitled.

    take a page out of the Ronaldo saga. United are a sickness for EVERYONE who goes there. Sancho getting out will be best for his future. CR7 top scorer of 2023! Proof Ten Hag labeling CR7 as the problem was Bulls**t! man United barely in the top half of the table. Bottom of the group in champions. 👏🙌

    If any other manager did it they’d be praising him. Sancho is one of the highest paid players in the league and he’s rubbish any other manager would have done exactly the same if their player did that. People forget he gave him 2 months off to help him. When’s the last time you thought wow utd could do with Sancho right now.. never. This whole thing about ten Haag falling out with players. Ronaldo refused to come on off the bench, how’s that the managers fault.

    Sancho is absolutely right to point out he's being made a scapegoat and refuse to apologize whilst Onana, Bruno, Rashford, Hojlund and Antony are picked for every game no matter how they perform plus he ain’t even had the same opportunities despite being our best player in preseason.

    These lot are so far out of touch. there no is way a player can be earning 350K a WEEK right a WEEK and refuse to play because a manager critized you like are we actually so out of touch. Let not forget ten haag gave him a change to better himself and sent him away to holland or wherever in some training camp and look how he repays him. Pep has called out kevin last season and kevin took his game to a next level after sitting on the bench for a period of time. That just shows the level of mentality of the 2 players.

    It's funny how you always acting like Sancho didn't flop. Players could flop guys, look at Leverkusen's Haverts with 25+ GA a season before joining Chelsea, he dropped to under 15GA a season and that's being generous.
    Sure this situation hasnt been handled, delicately if I may say, but you guys just want to see Erik sacked, don't you?

    Sancho not fast enough? Is Anthony fast? Anthony is one footed of course he cuts back in ridiculous point Sancho was performing well he would keep the ball and do simple passes where as this manager rates Anthony, Bruno and Rashford who give the ball away constantly

      @@robertking4645there is no evidence or even a suggestion that he had problems with de gea, what are you on about?
      The only people he's clashed with at United are Ronaldo and Sancho, and even then he's in the right in both situations. It's literally just Sancho and Ronaldo.
