This infomercial changed my life lol. I was freshman, watched this over the weekend late at night, grabbed my moms makeup, recreated it and I never felt better. I did my makeup this way for school the following Monday and felt like a celebrity lol. I used these techniques for years. Started doing makeup on my friends.

My favorite part of this infomercial as a kid was the repetition of “smoky cat eye,” but what actually made me think about it all these years later is them talking about just keeping the makeup on constantly and just touching it up as needed. In 2023, the beauty community would come for you hard for even suggesting such a thing!
I got her lip stuff and it's fantastic. Mainly the lipliner and gloss makes the difference. The stain and lipsticks are ok not groundbreaking can use what brands you already have. And getting an idea of how to coordinate colours from how her makeover kits are coordinated. (I got the shadows and cake liner and pudgy pencil last year but they're not that special, esp shadows which wear off in minutes even with primer). For cheap brushes with the same quality Crown brushes makes really good ones.

I've used Alexis Vogel makeup before and I love it next to MAC. I'm an dark skinned African American woman and it's a little tricky to find makeup for my complexion but her makeup fits the bill for me and it's very blend able too. I didn't think it would work and was going to send it back but I tried it and used it along with my MAC makeup, I was like Wow!!! I liked the result that I got from using it and from the other video with the Hair and Lashes. I loved the Hair but the Lashes part with the evening eyes makeup was sooo much fun. I enjoyed it immensely! I think women need to try this especially African American women.
I really learned so much about Makeup and it's application from Alexis Vogel, and the quality of Makeup that you really want. Her products are well done as far as the quality, then the fact that Black Women can take advantage of this Makeup is terrific. There are very few quality Makeup Brands that on the Market which are of great quality and fair Prices that Black Women can really wear. I'm very happy to found this Makeup, Makeup Tricks and Tips, and it certainly made me very happy with my Looks and my Beautiful Cosmetics...

I only bought it to see the hair section as everything else is already uploaded here.. but I cannot use the methods demonstrated in the hair segment after all as my hair doesnt do well with heat.
But if you decide not to go for it then I can just say that the only thing from this series of youtube uploads of her techniques that is missing (things that are on dvd but not here) are: 1. Blush application (which she says just keep it on the apples of your cheeks dont drag it out .. the blush is a basic muted pinky red colour. It's very brief. ) 2. Straightening demonstration with blowdryerr and combing it (blowdryer chases the comb basically what everyone knows these days anyway) and straightener. She said she doesnt like straightening iron all over as it is more damaging and looks flatter. And curling wand demonstration for ppl with naturally curly hair if they want 5o make it look more formal.. she said if you have curly hair you can just keep it curly and use curling wand here and there to make the overall effect prettier. And hot rollers. (Hot rollers and curling iron she just twists random strands of hair and wraps them round then mists them with hairspray before taking it off Nd unravels gently nothing over the top). Then the other part of the dvd is just this infomercial (I guess they were proud of it).

I had this whole kit then my landlord Lazlo pollyak decided to use his key to rob me and took the dvds.I never even got to watch them!😡
