  • In today's video, I will be trying Ethiopian hair butter for the first time.
    I demonstrate how to make Ethiopian hair butter, and see whether this butter can really give my hair the moisture it needs.
    Ethiopian hair butter (also known as Kibbeh), has been used on the hair for centuries, and the benefits are; it promotes, healthy, long, thick hair due to the fats and vitamins it contains.
    It's been a well-kept Ethiopian secret and is easy to make, as it includes minimal ingredients.

    We use it as a prepoo and don't add any fragrance, steam our hair either using the sun or a steam cap then leave it for an hour or so, we use it to reverse heat damage and prevent hair thinning.

    Hi Lauren am Eritrean and yes I do use the Ethiopian butter 😀 is the best kept secret for us our grandmothers they use it and have a full head of hair well in they’re 90’s😀 well you suppose to strain the water 😄 and use it once a week or once a month . Also you can use it on your face as a hydrating mask and also on your body before a shower . The butter is good for eyes and head aches also when you use it there is a cooling nice effect . It’s super healthy . I will never be without it 😀

    You can remove the excess water by pressing the butter with a spoon and draining it off. Great video. My Ethiopian friend told me about this butter years ago but I didn’t try it. Now I’m on it and I’m going to try it. You demonstration is the easiest and one of the best so far. You don’t add water which I like. I never knew when I made trifle that the whipped cream was Ethiopian butter! Thanks for sharing.

    I have an extremely random (and might come off as weird) question. In your opinion, do you think it's okay to use the same bowls used to mix up ingredients for hair (i.e., DIY, store bought conditioners, etc.) to make DIYs for your face? The reason for my very odd question is because I and a relative disagree on this topic. I have told her that the bowls she uses to mix hair products should only be reserved for that and nothing else. My relative believes that as long as you wash out the bowls with soap and water, then it's fine. I guess it would acceptable if it was only 100% natural items she was using in those bowls, but that's not the case. Since I have sensitive skin, I would rather be safe than sorry.
    What are your thoughts on this?

    • @MissLaurenLeigh11
      @MissLaurenLeigh11  3 роки тому +5

      Hi Ashante, not much surprises me girly lol.
      To answer your question, personally, for me I wouldn't use the same bowl, I'd have to have separate, but that's my OCD talking lol.
      On a serious note, like yourself, I have sensitive skin, so I can't take the risk, as I can suffer from irritation and flare-ups on my face.
      However, I say each to their own x
