I live in the rural west and mostly this "old westy" theme is usually really cringey, but they really got the actual color story of a ghost town right! Real ghost towns are rarely considered haunted, but are beautifully melancholy. However, just a reminder that it is good that those towns died. Ghost towns, esp the bigger ones, are mostly mining camps, and the amount of violence & human trafficking that took place is overwhelming. These places are important historically but if the public understood what they were, they might not be so enchanted by the theme. But i really want the palette - it is the real color story of the countryside near my home town, and of the abandoned post office towns near me (also ghost towns, but boring, nice ones - transportation advances & population growth made them unnecessary, people no longer needed a general store & PO every 10 miles.)
That is a valid point. I didn't even think about the negativity surrounding ghost towns. I live near some, and not all have a violent history. I've always enjoyed learning the interesting history of the towns. I feel like most Halloween themes, for the most part, have a negative dark history when you really think about it.

I’m so happy that they updated their shimm formula. Been really tired of hearing people whine about them being harder pressed - although I realize some were too hard pressed / but anywho - big fan of the brand, and glad some of that bitching will be silenced. To answer your question - I always fully wash my brushes after every use. I’ve amassed a large enough collection that I can do that, and use brushes on a daily basis. If I did need to use something / I’d try a color switch for sure. I also have heard that the rose and Ben brushes are better about not holding onto pigment, for this very reason, so do what you want with that knowledge. The brushes I have from her are fabulous, but I don’t have a blender, I’ve got the c42 foundation and the tiny eye fan brush - it’s amazing.
That's awesome. I want to get in the habit of cleaning them after each use. I've always wanted to invest in those brushes. I'll definitely look into them!

always love seeing your demos and reviews! this palette looked gorgeous on you. ty for the tips on mixing shimmers together too. i was wondering if the green & silver would mix well to match the cooler greens. happy that their shimmer formula has improved! that's what was holding me back before. x

I love all the looks they’re all so beautiful😍 I’ve been going back and forth with this palette cuz it’s such a me color story with the muted grungy tones. I might just pick this one up and have it be my first purchase from the brand🙈
