There is no words to describe how amazing and creative that was! Miyavi is truly a musical genius, back then and today. Miyavi has to be one of the greatest guitarists, if not the greatest of all time. That was just crazy amaze'n. Keep Rock'n Miyavi-san
Haha, and this is coming from someone who can't even spell Clapton. Really, he just likes guitar and tries to do his own thing. It sucks that people can't pursue their passions without being criticized as wannabe-this or that. And attempting to use his WEIGHT as leverage for your arguments? Hahaha, fail.
look,if you are jealous just say so.slim yourself down AND you MIGHT,I said MIGHT be able to play NEAR his standard. AND HI,you are in year 2007,so dont bring miyavi to that generation of yours, because he don't belong there and you don't beong here.Scram,uncle.
fuck all you guys saying he's anorexic or whatever, Being that thin is completely different in Japan, It's more common to look that skinny and accepted. BESIDES THAT - There are tons of women that WANT Miyavi like no end. >:O
This is just a small part of a concert. All of you who claims this is shit: It's mostly for entertainment and show, for the crowd. I agree that this may be a bit pointless and that he's better on acoustic, but this is what a live show is about... Show.
who gives a crap what he looks like! oh gosh people are so eh! as long as he is good at what he does no one should care! him being hot is a plus for fans! i have seen him live and met him in person. he is really an amazing person and you shouldnt judge. keep your stupid comments to yourself if you dont like it dont watch it
It's just a coincidence that the majority of J-rockers are thin (then again, 98% of Asian entertainers are thin, and 95% of entertainers everywhere are thin), but I wouldn't say that they HAVE to be like that to be in J-rock. I don't think weight is a requirement to being in J-rock--just talent :)
He used to smoke a lot. People are smoke are often pretty thin. He quit a few years ago though. Plus, some people have problems gaining weight--they just can't get fat. He's said in one of his comments that he just ate some steak, two salads, two plates of asparagus and a hamburger and he's still not feeling fat, lol. He eats. It's probably a medical problem that prevents him gaining weight.
wow... um... dude... XD Those fangirls were scary... lol... he actually had to stop playing for a moment so his bodyguards could pull them off. He's such a ham.... look how he milks that audience ;)
uuhhh...for those of you who keeps saying that Miyavi is too skinny or anorexic. You know, that's the typical body type for a lot of Asians. Chill out and calm down. It's normal.
I agree with you atdiglol alot of girls only like miyavi for his looks heck I'm one of them BUT I also love his voice and his songs he's not all that bad..
@FOWBOWZ him because of that. You are ignorant and arrogant, because you don't get it. Miyavi was mediocre when he was only in a part of a band. Only a piece of a band. There's a lot of GUY fans too. Your opinion, sadly is a wrong one. Not everybody has the same music tastes as you. I'm glad Miyavi moved up from DLQ when they broke up. His music took on an actual meaning. I love Miyavi only because of his MUSIC. Damn, he could look like Marilyn Manson, whom I love very dearly, and I'd love him.
@atdiglol He wasn't alone five years ago. He's not mediocre because he can fit his original shamisen style guitar playing into his genre fusions he creates, which not many artists do anymore. When you commented this video was already three years old, and he had already improved a hell of a lot more from when he was DLQ And fuck no, I'm sorry, but I think Miyavi is attractive, but I don't like
@trudel669 Look at his actual music. A lot of times onstage, Miyavi's not even making a song, or music. He's been like that for as long as I can remember. Like if you go to "雅-miyavi- Guitar battle vs Tap SARO" there he isn't really playing music. He tends to do this. He's simply expressing himself through his playing. You seem to have a set standard to what playing is, so you won't really understand him. Some people get it: he has a playing spirit, he's playful. P.S. This video is 8 yrs old.
@WickedCrispy It wasn't prerecorded though. And this happened most likely out of random, because that's how Miyavi is. You should see his work in Miyaviuta-Dokusou. A hell of a lot better than his electric work. Miyavi wasn't playing music, or a song in general here. He was just expressing himself through noise. If you knew him, you'd recognize that. He has a playful spirit. He does that too much though. :|
@alacardo1 But it got better in 2006 with Miyaviuta-Dokusou, because he got his own shamisen influenced slap on the guitar, and it was acoustic, which sounded better for him. But he was just playing around like he always does here. And he has more talents than guitar, btw! Piano, bass, drums, shamisen, and being a one man band as well. :D P.S. It's spelled Due Le Quartz, not "due la quartz"! :D
@AudioImpression Miyavi isn't overrated. No one I knew overrated Miyavi. They said, "Miyavi is a good guitarist, but his vocals are kinda rough". I looked him up, and they were right. He's a good guitarist, his vocals are rough. He's actually underrated. I really like his voice. It's powerful in songs like Ame ni Utaeba (Seven Samurai Sessions), Hi no Hikari Sae Todokanai Kono Basho De, Itoshii Hito, Kimi ni Negai Wo (Both versions), Onpu no Tegami, Coo Quack Cluck (Acoustic), etc. :P
He can sing...he took voice lessons and he continues to take them to this day. He admits it's his weakness, and he's not a singer born, but I think he makes a lot of progress with it. And most of his fame and admiration comes from his guitar skills anyway--I agree, better on acoustic, but he improvises really creatively and he's definitely one of the best guitarists in J-rock right now.
I kinda stand by my point. In more hardcore genres, you have light shows, some fire and stuff. That's also a part of the "show", but in a smaller scale than this. But as you say, it all comes down to genre when it comes to how much of a show you're putting on
Miyavi is popular and makes more money than many guitarists who may be better than him at playing very technical guitar pieces, but the reason he is making money and famous is because its not just about guitar skills, you have to have charisma, showmanship, and overall you gotta have "it" (the thing that makes you stand out) to make it in music.
so i remember a video where miyavi was the guitarist for another band or singer and then he sang a bit too aand someone was wearing shiny pants and yaoi might have been hinted at idk any one know any songs like that cuz the song was awesome

i still can't believe he walked out alive from that and relatively unharmed o-o
MIyavi is the best, I can't believe I didn't like him xD He is gorgeous :)
Such an entertainer, from very young age. :) Amazing how he grew up. One of the most unique guitarists I've heard. ^_^
Watching miyavi stroke his guitar *____* 2:57

🇯🇵💎🎸💥🎤👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 - 2024!!!!
Man, I love the sound of this. XD

2:57 =)
You know, I'm a girl and I love Miyavi, but not for his looks. I do think he's hot, but it's not based on that.
he's not even that good, he just jacks of the guitar, making incoherent noises, the riff is pretty good, still is just a riff, not a song.
Miyavi ❤
there should be an arena for where pple fight eachother kuz of what they said in youtube
@Sonarc I think this suck too. But I don't say it out loud... wait, I just did. Okay, whatever. Miyavi's a hell of a lot better on acoustic.
@WickedCrispy It wasn't prerecorded though. And this happened most likely out of random, because that's how Miyavi is. You should see his work in Miyaviuta-Dokusou. Give me Myavi...
But not Miyavi from 2010... he's different now..
I want THIS Miyavi.. yes *---*
[THIS - from this video..]
@AudioImpression Miyavi isn't overrated. No one I knew overrated Miyavi. They said, "Miyavi is a good guitarist, but his vocals are kinda rough". I looked him up, and they were right. @Audioimpression , you need "it" to make it in the music business, you dont need to have "it" to make it in music.
He can sing...he took voice lessons and he continues to take them to this day. He admits it's his weakness, and he's not a singer born, but I think he makes a lot of progress with it. miyabi daisuki desuuuuuuuuuuuu.. aishiteruuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu....

i wonder how many times the guitar string broke.. and how many guitar he has...
Point being?
Miyavi, you're cute and all, but what sense was that for?
the original clip was of him walking around the ENTIRE stadium, but I actually cut that out because of how it long it was and consistant.
Live shows are about "show"? No, not really. Maybe in this genre. Within hardcore music? Not so much.
i was there. but sadly i was no where near where he walked by :(
It's like those girl wanna hug 'em to death. o_0 Keep on walkin' Meev xD
omg i wanna learn that last bit were hes duet-ing with the dj guyXD
so what?he is good guitar and thats all that matters.
hehe I think that its really cool that he has had such an influence on you!
@Tw1stedMetal He's good, but nahhh... I like him a lot though.
of course miyavi is the only guy who messes around with the DJ's table XD
Nyan, I will never tire of watching Miyavi. He is just such a gifted entertainer ^__^
@ClClBOOM Well at least he's better now, huh? :P
lol, I love how he was controlling the crowd at the end xD
He owned that stage! Literally!
@ audiouimpressions. Miyavi is not underrated
lol ok thx ^^ if u can thatll b a great help =D
the bodyguards must be like FML MY JOB SUCKS.
so i remember a video where miyavi was the guitarist for another band or singer and then he sang a bit too aand someone was wearing shiny pants and yaoi might have been hinted at idk any one know any songs like that cuz the song was awesome
Daigo Stardust from breakerz
jesse kl You're thinking of the band Due Le Quartz where miyavi was the guitarist and was known as miyabi they had a music video for the song rodeo
@solidiquis1 totally agree with this statement!
the opening riff is awesome and really easy to figure out by ear.
This is why I always ask to God to be his guitar
lol fans ruining his equipment xDDD
Even though this is just him being random it's still awesome.
Then why are you watching it?
hee. friggen cool! Even Pa liked it! woot.

totally sick
hes so into guitar
I WILL BUY IT!
miyabi -.- sobrado
i agree

Miyavi is "ok" on electric guitar. Better on acoustic. He can't sing to save his life. He's overrated in general.
