The thing that was always stopping me from buying a Trek Allant+ e-bike, is that it's 57 lbs! With this new FX+ 7, Trek finally makes a lightweight commuter e-bike with all the options that I want, that weighs only 40 lbs., but then they decide to NOT make the battery removable! Why??? That's a deal breaker for me. IMO all e-bikes should have removable batteries!

The battery is removable by an authorized Trek dealer for service needs, but isn't recommended to be removed at home.
@@trekbikes Love this e-bike and how lightweight it is, but I need the battery to be easily removed. Thank you for the reply.

The Allant has the bigger bosch motor & removable battery.
It's USD 4k.
I would love one, but my old car is cheaper than this bike.
You don't need to put gas in your FX+ though...
@@trekbikes don't forget about maintenance, insurance, and other random costs associated with owning a car
Fx +7 weighs 41lbs
