I know this is a 4 year old comment, but the reality is that a lot of performers struggle with depression. Whether that's imposter syndrome, things in their own life/past that they just can't get over. Nobody wants to be an addict. Speaking as one myself, we've all got demons, we've all got things that we think help us cope, only to find that the things that we think we can use as a band-aid tear the wounds open even more and plunge the knife deeper. You don't just recover from addiction, once in you're in recovery, you're in recovery. You don't just stop being an addict, and you never stop thinking about what led you there

I will say this and I dont care if someone just decides to becan asshole but anyways breaking benjamin are one of my biggest influences in music. Ben is an awesome guy he does what he can for his fans even though he is in pain from his illness.
I love Ben Burnley. You can tell he puts so much effort and feeling and emotion into his songs it's unbelievable. He is my favorite singer and Breaking Benjamin is my favorite band. I hope they come back.
totally agree with you, i went through a hard time and could easily relate to songs in breaking benjamin, now that i'm over them, i still love to listen to BB for the fun of it, it was such a huge part of my life. Too bad SOME people don't understand that.
ben was influenced my nirvana...i was influenced by ben...i started learning guitar the very next day after hearing diary of jane...and his music...simply the best...most of his songs relate to my life..
I love this band . Definitely one of my most favorite. Every song I feel. Ben’s such a beautiful person and it shows in every song ! I’m seeing them next month and I’m so excited
I am totally blown away by everything he writes especially in the last album since it is noticeable how much the lyrics are more deep and make sense throughout the whole song where in some past songs there were stuff that did sound absolutely amazing in the song even though they lack sense a bit. He is a LEGEND and i it's not possible for me to love more what he does!
I can relate to Ben in so many ways. I'm still in my teens, and what got me into music was in fact Nirvana, and I'm like Ben in that sense. I play guitar and sing and I get a lot of influence from Ben and his style of music and his lyrics. He's a music genius, both when he was drinking and even when sober. I love all his music and all of his songs and every single one I can find a deep and personal meaning to relate to. He's so underrated, and should be on top of the music world right now.
Oh God NO!!!! BEN!!! ;-; This breaks my heart! He's even crying minute 3:21 God Help Me! I can't.....! x$ I love him so much. He's one of my greatest idols. He's such a fighter and has lots of talent. WE LOVE YOU BEN!
@Jak Marvella Your creator. It's ok to be inspired by people but idolizing another human is ridiculous thought. I literally almost only listen to BB when it comes to music, that doesn't call to idolize him
He has such a better relationship with the current "members". Even before Aaron and Mark screwed up by releasing that garbage version Blow Me Away. You can tell in this interview he's so much happier now a days.
I can relate to them. I think they stand out from other such bands such as Three Days Grace or Trapt or even Skillet. They are kinda moodier, but at the same time, you can be in any mood to enjoy it. It is hard to get that

I see some fans seem to be or had been terribly misled. While it is true Benjamin is the primary songwriter, he is no way the sole songwriter. There have been entire songs as far as I know that were written mostly by other members. For example, "Believe" off We Are Not Alone was primarily written by Aaron Fink, as I recall hearing. Plus Mark Klepaski co-wrote "Breath." All it takes is some searching to know that Ben is not the sole songwriter. I will admit in this interview, and in many others Ben makes it sound like he does most of the work himself, which is true to an extent but the other members had more to do with album-writing than is put on.
Diante Edmonds now already accepts it that each Member collaborated a little and also accepts and sees the new members to do the same and will be with the new album
He, like many others like him in similar situations, has become a complete DICK! Used to be one of my favorite bands and artists, definitely not the case these days. Moving on...

Just because they work hard doesn't mean that they write things for him. She asked how the SOUND has changed. And he said,"I write everything." Not do everything. We all give them credit for being awesome performers. It's just that he wrote most/all of the songs.

You gotta love Ben's honesty.
This guy helps me unmuddy my mind, God bless this guy he’s a truly great artist.
I feel the exact same way
Breaking Benjamin is super underrated, Ben needs to get over his fears and fly overseas to market the band in concerts.
he has a phobia of flying, he can't help it. if he wasn't afraid of flying, we wouldn't have Phobia.
it's funny because he didn't get over his fear of flying, but instead took a ship to europe that took 9 days, and 2 of those days were in a hurricane.
