it seems to cater to the market that consumed every single KDX200/220 Kawasaki could build...the market that the rest of the competition seems to not care about anymore. Mid-priced, easy-use two-stroke fun.
GPX seems to be doing a nice job providing bikes for those just starting out, getting back into, or just hesitant of the current price points of new bikes.
its pretty much a copy of a 2017-2018 Ktm 300 with different valving in suspension, 1 less clutch plate , 2020 Ktm plastics, carby needs swapping out for a different one..
"Reminds me of a late 90's/early 00's KTM 2-stroke engine" I don't think you remember what those felt like if you think this feels the same, I get PTSD thinking of the hand vibrations from those bikes.
Interesting. This is a bike that costs an unknown amount but less than $10k. It's as good as some other bikes that cost less than $10k. But it's not as good as bikes that cost more than $10k. Solid review, fellas. Keep it up!
Please do a full blown test on one of the GPX bikes...I'd prefer the FSE250E but any of them with the SZC forks would be good. Thanks for the video :).
You can get low hr used KTM with fuel injection for the cost of one of these and have superior everything, reliability and parts availability. I’m sure the KTM hate will roll on in on this video with a bunch of people acting like this bike is this amazing machine for less.
So you wanna compare the highest priced bikes on the market to some of the lowest? Used gpx’s are going for 2500-3500 so “for the price” it’s still miles ahead of the clapped used bike you’re gonna get in that price range if you keep the comparison even.
What the GPX offers is old school easy to work on no injection stuff to go wrong back up kick start has all the goods the average person could want at a price some people can afford. With today’s technology reliability is at stake to much to go wrong. Who knows if this bike is going to make the long haul ?? Yet to be determined but it’s simple
Great review Guys. I love how you left out the useless details such as cost, where to buy and who the eff is GPX…. I guess I don’t need to know. Anyways…..
You need a long term test on the thing and tell us about reliability. Parts availability. Quality. Longevity. Tell Ron that Dean from Cycle Guide will handle the task. He has my email!
Plenty of people have them and they are as reliable as the ktm they copied. The problem is parts are more difficult to order. There's no parts fiche on Rocky Mountain ATV yet. Most things are just ktm parts like 95% of the engine. Few things you gotta directly order from dealers. The forums have spreadsheets about what year bike parts fit these. I almost bought one but then bought Gasgas on a real good deal just because of parts.
I have ridden one and it's a good bike, my normal rides are a beta rx 300 a 23 KTM sx 250 smoker and a 21 factory edition 450 and this is a very capable trail bike right out of the gate and a little work can run any hare scrambles and intermediate moto especially for a beginner rider plenty of bike !! Merry Christmas to everyone 🌲
A lot of good solid metal dependability depends on wherer China got the steel and aluminum from to build these bikes. If it's made from ore excavated in China then it's poor metal. Questionable metallurgy. If the metals are obtained from the USA or Germany or Sweden, etc. , then these bikes may be built decently.
I want a 2 Smoker 400 -430 With E start and a Kicker , with Maybe 5- Year old Suspension that was really great for its time 47-48 MillForks , with a Good Rear Shock , Good breaks Easy Pull Clutch , more of a Over weight Vet Rider 🤣😜
Hey as long as you are on two wheels and having fun that is all that matters!!!!! Merry Christmas!
NAILED IT!
Spot on !

Hit the nail on the head , we all don’t want the most expensive dirt bike , I would even say bring back more air cooled bikes .
GPX seems to be doing a nice job providing bikes for those just starting out, getting back into, or just hesitant of the current price points of new bikes.
Last original idea the Chinese had is gun powder.😖

“It does need a lil bit of dialing in but BRAAAAP” 😂
The exhaust pipe looks vulnerable to damage. Problem with a lot of Chinese products is replacement parts are hard to come by.
Luckily since ktm has been farming out to china for years they just copied most the parts and made a bike. 17 ktm 300 is like 80% compatible
All 2 smoke exhausts are vulnerable to damage
At least it has a Kickstarter, That's something a new KTM doesn't have
Way to test a motorcycle and not provide anything concrete good or bad. Worthless review.
He stated the suspension is subpar and the power is lean with good hit at the bottom.
Not a long term review so your not going to get a crapton of detail unfortunately...
If it rips, rip!
Big Question is the suspension internals. Whats going on inside?

With these types of reviews you really need to read between the lines a bit. I think I'll be steering clear of the GPX for now.

What modifications can I do to this bike? Can I put a pro circuit pipe on it
Retail price??
Like 5k
Just under £6k in the UK, which is about half the price you'd pay for a KTM 300.
website says $6899 for the 300 and only $5699 for the 250!

Well GPX sux so do their bikes bad welds good jump they crack
What is the list price. ??
6800
Id buy this bike it looks like it can do a lot for a way smaller price than a blown up bankrupt KTM .
Their original prices would’ve made it worth it but now at the price you might as well get a used ktm
Or u can buy a used gpx for 2-3k keep the comparison even 😂
@ oh yeah the resell value on gpx is terrible I basically gave my gpx away to a buddy because the market was so savage about it 😂

bottom end is what you need for the trail as opposed to Motocross riding
