Tnx a lot....there’s one problem um facing again & again.. after yellow cross, and maching corners when um trying to solve yellow side....after solving the yellow sid totally still the white side & others are messed up...as it was supposed to regain...Sometimes it was regained sometimes not...kind of a luck thing....is there any solution?

    FOR THOSE WHO END UP WITH DIFFERENT YELLOW PIECES AT THE BOTTOM. I was confused when I found out that Cubastic didn't show other scenarios and I thought I was doing something wrong. But even after following everything in all four parts of the video I couldnt get the yellow pieces to match the placement in the video. So here's what I did:
    if there is one piece on the right start doing the right algorithm. Once the yellow piece is at it's bottom rotate the first layer like he did in the video. Doesn't matter if there is a yellow cube there or not. Now do the right algorithm until the white pieces are back in their place. If there are more yellow pieces on the right do it again and keep doing it and eventually you should end up with all the yellow pieces facing down. Hope this helps
    If the yellow pieces are on the LEFT SIDE just do everything in reverse, so left algorithm and rotate the first layer the other way. Best of luck. I am very disappointed that this person made such a long tutorial but left such a crucial part out at the end.

      He only points at one face, but it doesnt matter if the yellow piece is on the front or right face, as long as its the square down at the bottom right.

      @@lindacarr9997 If yellow is on the left then move the cube so that the corner with yellow is in your right hand and in the front. Now, the yellow will be on the right side. Now do the right algorithm until it's at the bottom along with the rest of the pieces. Keep doing this until all the yellows are solved. No matter where the yellow piece it, hold the cube so that the corner is in your right hand and in the front. Not the back, not on the left hand, in the front right hand.

    this tutorials were really nice! The only thing that confused me was in this part, where you turn the yellow ones from the bottom that are left, so for anyone confused too, if you have the piece in the "bottom left" you just turn the bottom (so the piece that has the yellow piece stays facing right but still the overall piece is in the bottom right position) and then just make the right handed known move till the yellow piece stays at its place. Keep it up!

    For everyone else pulling their hair out, yellow piece on bottom right corner doesnt have to be on the side facing you in order to match up the yellow at the bottom as the video shows. Was driving me crazy for hours figuring out, but as others mentioned in the comments, you can do the algorithm to match the yellow even if the yellow side is facing to the right on the bottom right piece, and will end up correct still

    This works really well, only unclear point was as mentioned, for the last layer if you don't have any corners where the yellow faces you in the bottom right, you don't say what to do. You could have clarified that the yellow can face you OR be facing to the right, as long as the corner piece does not have its yellow face pointing down, it needs to be rotated, so the right algorithm keeps rotating it until it's oriented correctly
    i agree with this person this is the only reason i can't solve the rubiks cube or then great job

    What about the situation like: White all on top but the lower level has yellow both left and right bottom corners?
    You only solved for yellow on the lower right corner and assuming the the next yellow will show up on the bottom right corner as well.
    If you have the yellow both coming on the left bottom corner - it is fine you just flip the algorithm.
    But what if one yellow is on the left bottom corner and the right bottom corner?

      @PADARM 4 роки тому +26

      this please, someone!

    • @Anakinuk007
      @Anakinuk007 4 роки тому +98

      No don’t flip the algorithm. Listen carefuls lol... Once you have the corners in the correct place, from the yellow side face up, you then flip the cube and work from the white side face up. At this point, look for a yellow corner on the bottom right. If you don’t find one, then find one that has a yellow sticker to the side of the corner - which is situated in the same bottom right corner. If there is more than one to choose from, it doesn’t matter which one you start with, as long as it’s in the bottom right. Apply the same algorithm to face down each of the four corners with yellow. Some of them may already be in place. After the first one, it may look like you’ve ruined your cube. Ignore those doubts and complete all four corners.
      Do not turn cube at all, spin ONLY the bottom layer. One by one moving the bottom layer find a bottom right hand edged corner, do the algorithm to get a yellow face facing down. Do not worry that the corner colours don’t match up, this stage is to get the yellow corner face facing down. Repeat for each corner you need to complete entire yellow face. Then simply turn the top two layers/bottom layer same difference, to match all the side colours as best you can.
      Spin cube back over and work from the yellow side up. Usually you will have one side complete that’s where you want to start the next step. Whether you have one matching side or none complete, apply the 1 RH algo, then the LH algo. Then the 5 RH algo, followed by the 5 LH algo. I’d advise writing down your progress as you go, is very easy to lose count (first few times). One wrong move here and for us novices, it’s either crash and burn to start over again or back several steps if your lucky. Personally I count to twenty for each side, is far easier to keep track of where you are! Four moves times five is easily forgotten, counting upwards to twenty is much simpler. You may find after doing the last algorithm, you are back to where you started. Repeat the whole algorithm one more time to complete. I believe it’s possible if you started this step with no complete matching sides, you may even have to repeat this step a third time.
      I had great difficulty too at this step as the tutorial is more rushed and not enough explanation given. Now I understand it, it makes sense but took a long time to sink in! Also worth noting - when matching the corner sides and they are diagonally opposite, he says two times for the algorithm but it’s actually three. However, you can actually do the algorithm twice, but what happens is you move one of the middle colours out of joint. Put that back in place by going back a step. It’s actually quicker to do the algorithm twice (only if diagonally opposite), then to fix that wandering middle piece rather than mess around with swapping lots of corners around the cube.

      Pablo A.D I was wondering the same thing. Got confused because my the yellow side of my corners was facing the opposite way to his.
      It actually doesn't matter if the yellow face isn't facing you. Just follow the algorithm today get that corner yellow to its yellow friends on the bottom and then twist the bottom until the next yellow is interested that corner position.

    I’m 48 years old and learning to solve a cube is on my list of things I wanted to learn before I die. Aka my “bucket list”
    It took me about two weeks to memorize the algorithms and get to where I can solve the cube without help. Ended up buying 6 cubes just to have them around the house so I could pick one up wherever I was.
    I have tried to learn the cube a few times in the past but gave up because the instructions were confusing. But your method of teaching is excellent.
    I used a slightly different method for the final side of the puzzle. It was from an app. But without your tutorial it would have never made sense to me.
    In the near future I hope to teach my fourth or fifth grade students how to solve the Rubik’s cube.
    Thanks again!!

    I know you probably won't even read this comment, but I'm going to write it anyway.
    I have always wanted to know how to solve a 3x3 Rubik's cube but I'd never imagined actually doing it! Earlier this year in lockdown, I was very bored so I decided to learn. I clicked on your video since it looked pretty genuine (and it had millions of views). Ever since, my life has never been the same. Thanks, one thing that I ran into was two yellows being on the bottom left instead of the bottom right, I’m a beginner but assumed you just would do a left hand algorithm to solve it which worked.

    Hello everyone reading this, I hope you are doing great.
    I wanted to say a huge thank you to CUBASTIC for making me learn how to solve the Rubik's cube! I have been trying a lot lately and had make four or three failed tries. Now that you are reading this I managed to solve it and let me tell you that I have never felt so happy and proud for myself. If you want my opinion this four videos are THE BEST ones for tutorial on how to solve the cube. Amazing explanation, very detailed and slow enough for a noob such as me to be able to understand all the moves including the algorithms. Gongratulations to every one who solve AND to everyone who is trying to. Again, a big thank to you CUBASTIC for all of that, have a great day everyone, and never give up, you can do it!!!!!

    Dude thanks so much for taking the time to explain everything so slowly and precisely. Every other tutorial I watched either flipped too fast, didn’t explain how to orient the cube, or skipped explaining necessary steps. You’d make a good teacher, I never would’ve figured it out without this, so thanks man. You got a new subscriber. Cheers 🍻
