This is the first time I saw that scene. It speaks volumes how Priscilla saw for the first time that Elvis lost his temper and it was difficult to realize he didn’t want her to have an opinion that was different than his. Also how he said he was sorry and wanted her to just immediately accept the fact he was sorry and just move on as if it didn’t happened. It did happen and she was not given time to cope with fear and realization that she couldn’t speak her mind and have her own opinion.
Did you hear Coppola admit here that in real life Elvis never threw a chair at Priscilla? Yes he did want her to have an opinion and asked for it. He often showed temper, not just around Priscilla but it was always directed at OBJECTS not at people.
She said Priscilla specified that he didn't throw a chair *at* her, he threw it at the wall *close* to her. That's exactly what the scene is portraying.

I just read in the above comments that Priscella states in the book, that she "wasn't even in the room when Elvis threw the chair. She opened the door at that exact moment. priscilla explained it very clearly.".
Also this scene is really tense. here we are in a very dimly lit room, Elvis is obviously very tense, and here you have all of these MEN on one side of the room in a much darker spot where you have this tiny little girl on the opposite side who is clearly uncomfortable. Then The height difference between the two actors helps create this very large male- dominating presence that looms over a smaller softer female presence almost showing how predatory it really was.

I know some people say the actors should’ve investigated a little more on the real Priscilla, but they also have to remember the actors do what they do for a living and they can’t risk loosing roles and opportunities.
Delusional, blind Elvis fans may be boycotting this movie. SOME of us are capable of accepting Elvis' considerable flaws and loving him anyway.
The movie lacked any deep connections or dimensions. Very boring, Priscilla is portrayed as not having any intelligence. Very creepy.
no, she’s portrayed as a child. which she was….😭
@ashtonb7931 this is my thought exactly. This is so often whitewashed in Elvis biopics, including the most recent one, but when they met she was 14, a child, and he was 24, an adult. It actually is/was incredibly creepy.
@@ashtonb7931poor innocent girl 😂😂. Please..when she moved to Graceland she was 18, not 8 and her parents allowed her.
@@elvis78alewell yes she was a poor innocent girl
Priscilla lacks and depth or connection. What can we expect.
