Watching so late this time! But I loved this update :) I wanted to chime in on a couple things... The Salem Sisters stitch... I was also lucky enough to get the frame and stitched that right up. I do think doing one strand on 32 would be wonderful and look even better - but I think the simplicity is part of the beauty of this piece so I am a fan of that rather than a smaller stitch that you then have to put a border on. Then just had to say - your kid stories are so resonating with me today. :) My son is 25 and just asked his sister to help him decorate his apartment (he just moved into a place without roommates for the first time). They spent yesterday moving furniture and replacing items/upgrading. She made a "vision board" for his rooms with links to where to get what he could use... so of course Amazon and momma had to get together a bit. ;)
I watched it a bit too late to enter the giveaways but I did enjoy your extra long flosstube very much! I have been a serial monogamous stitcher for a while now and I think I like that better. Regarding the Apothecary chart, I think that I would do 32 ct with one strand instead of doing 36. I do agree that adding a fabric covered board as a back to make up for the smaller stitch using 36 would detract from the stitching. If I remember correctly, that is what Emily, from Primrose Cottage, did. She stitched hers on 32 vintage country mocha with just one strand. She might have a picture of it in her IG if you want to take a look at it. Super impressed by the quilting in your Swoon quilt! That quilt is massive so I can appreciate how much work that was. I have been quilting on my embroidery machine and it has been wonderful to be able to say that I did every single aspect in my quilt. Also, congratulations to your daughter and her husband on their promotions! I remember you mentioning your daughter was engaged some time last year but I don't remember you mentioning they got married so delayed congrats on that too. Off I go to make boiled cider for some snickerdoodle apple cider cookies to have this afternoon after my sewing session. Looking forward to your next flosstube!
What a fantastic flosstube! Have missed you, great to have you back. Life just gets in the way and that is OK. Love your Tim Holtz tree skirt plus all your other projects. 1, 2, 3, 4.
I love All the Things you do, including your bloopers segment! You’re so fun and upbeat. You’re a busy gal and we understand that so don’t apologize. This is your hobby. I currently am working on bookmarks for my friends, as well as a biscornu for my sister who loves Americana, and a stitch for my craft room. 2, 4, 5
As always I love seeing everything you do from cross stitching to quilting. I need to really get back to stitching my Hygge Sampler but I got down the rabbit hole of stitching for fall right now. Just finished piecing a quilt for my nephew's baby due in early next year but I need to get completed for a shower in November. I have done some quilting with Janome Horizon too. The first quilts I made were for my boys - throws that they still use them in their apartments. Our oldest is getting married next year in September and just bought a house so I am waiting to see what colors they put in their bedroom so I can make them a queen quilt. I loveth FQS stitch quarterly too - I was going to stop it but I was so glad that I ordered it. I would say I am working on Spooky September but I have brought out a sampler too work on too. 1 , 2 , 3 , 4
1, 2, 3, 4 Thank you so much! This flosstube was a great flosstube. You were missed. I really loved your Tim Holtz tree skirt! For Salem Sisters, I think you should stitch with one thread! I am working on Halloween as much as possible.
I love your flosstube and your papercrafting videos. I do it all, too! I am not currently working on a cross stitch project. I'm kind of in a stitching slump, but I am catching up on Flosstubes and you & other stitchers are inspiring me to get going again! 1 2 3 4
Working on a Plum Street Samplers, “ Falling “ chart. 1, 2, 4. I was delighted to see you back! Maybe, for the Salem chart I would change the fabric to a tighter weave fabric like Picture This Plus, and one strand over two would be great in their 32 count. Have a great week.
For the Salem sisters apothecary - I’d totally do it 32 count 1 strand!!! It will look fabulous. I think the extra border space on 36 would look weird. Go team 32 1 strand!
I’m working on both Spooky and Sampler September…and enjoying every stitch! I think one over two would be subtle and pretty for your stitch! Thank you for all of the inspiration, I’m SO glad that you got your tree! 1,2,3,4
You are quite the enabler (meant in the kindest way)! I don't even own a sewing machine and decided to start quilting and ordering fabric (soooo pretty) and even looking up what a Swoon is! Not sure how you keep it all going - you go girl! 1,2,3,4,5
I’m right there with you on stitching with one thread. I really don’t like stitching with two threads anymore. I say go with the one thread on the 32. Love seeing you back!
I watched your video and didn't realize I needed another Christmas tree. Now I am on the hunt. Lol. Thus far none of the Walmarts near me have this particular one but it's early yet. I love all your stitching and may join in on the stockings stitched on a lighter fabric. Your videos are always one of my favorites. 1,2,3,4,5
That was a great feature length flosstube! I am a monogamous stitcher, currently stitching Prairie schooler Autumn Samplers, the Thanksgiving chart, my favorite holiday. 1, 2.
So much fun to have a new Flosstube from Nichol ! It was great to see some quilts in this video. Piecing quilts is my new obsession and the long-armer has my Swoon quilt as this very moment. Some of those fall charts are just gorgeous. 2, 4
It was nice to catch up with you. Your Swoon quilt is pretty, I like all the different colors. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. I am stitching on a variety of things, mostly smaller pieces.
So happy to see a flossy update! Your stitches are beautiful and I love seeing your quilts and plans! 😊 I just started a sunflower for September. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5
Hi Nichol, Glad your back, I always enjoy your flosstubes. I think one over two on the thirty-two count Apothecary looks just as nice as two over two. On the Sept. 7th, last years live Primrose Cottage, Emily shows her finish in which she did one over two on thirty-two count fabric. I'm currently stitching Primrose Cottage's Halloween Quaker. 1, 4
I know how busy you are in September, but so glad you are still getting in some stitching time and were able to share a video with us! I always LOVE to see what you are working on. I am in full-on fall and Halloween mode with my stitching right now. It's my favorite time of the year! 1, 2
For your 32 count project, my suggestion would be stitch on 32 with 1 or maybe use the thicker sulky threads or go with your 36 with a wider margin. It's whatever you love the best.
It is so fun to see you back. You were missed, but we certainly understand why. So much fun stitching goodness. I am all over the place this month. A little Christmas, a little samplers, just finished up some Halloween. 4
It is so good to see you back Nicole! I am working on blackbirds mighty Oak for cross stitching and a baby quilt for my new grandson that will be born in March. 1, 2.
I loved that little stitch pillow. Beautifully finished. Jessica is lucky to have you as a friend. I can't believe how cute your Halloween tree skirt is going to be!!! Fabulous fabric. I can imagine how much joy that tree is going to give you. I'm excited to see it finished. I'm working on the Feels like Fall and LOVING it! Loved your floss tube! Happy Fall Nicole!
Missed your smiling face this month. So many SAL ideas! I just finished my granddaughter’s heirloom stocking that took 3 months of monogamous stitching. I am cleansing my stitching palate with a bunch of Halloween smalls from Primrose Cottage.. 4
I am stitching a birth sampler for my 11 year old grandson. I stitched one for each of my four younger grandchildren when they were born and then my 11 year old grandson asked me if I would stitch one for him. I am also stitching Halloween charts. 1, 2, 4. Thank you for the awesome video.
Love to see that you're starting the 12 days stockings! I started them back in March and have 2 more to finish before I'm ready to do allll of the finishing! I love the idea of color changing for a lighter fabric, as well as using some hand-dyed flosses for natural variegation in the leaves. There are a ton of little color changes in some of those patterns and the hand-dyeds will save a lot of time! Excited to see how they come out!
So great to see a flosstube. I've been watching your Stamptember videos everyday too. I've been stitching Serenity for Sampler September, and I'm working on a mystery quilt with Primrose Cottage. I also said I'd never stitch a sampler, and look at me now. 2, 4
Hi Nicole, love your stitching. Maybe try one strand on 32 count, I think it would be beautiful. Whatever you choose, it will be wonderful. Love your flosstube and always look forward to it.
I'm with you.. want to make it all from paper crafting to stitching and sewing..! I'm retired and still don't have time for all the fun !! Falling for 1, 2,3,5
Hi Nichol, I’m sat here in Scotland looking out at the trees on our street putting on their autumnal colours and working on a kit by Bothy Threads called Know Your Coffee and trying to decide when to start Hygge Holiday. Love your projects. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5.
Picture this plus is a tight weave. So a 32 ct for Salem project would give you full look and perfect dimensions for your finishing board. Thanks for sharing!
Such great projects. I always love to see what you are working on. I am trying to whittle down my WIPS. 1, 2, 3, 4. Thank you for sharing. Have a blessed week and happy crafting. Lucinda
So good to see you, you've been missed! I just finished (not fully) This is the day - plumstreet, I'm working on Starbarks - plumstreet, and when pumpkins glow. 1,2,4,5,
Thank you for yet another inspiring Flosstube! I’ve been watching while stitching on my third Season’s Courier by Robin Pickens; autumn and winter are FO but waiting to be fully finished. Currently stitching on Spring. I’m keeping my fingers crossed for winning 1, 2, 3 or 5! Looking forward to your next episode!
Welcome back to your stitching flosstube. You have been missed from this side of the crafting endeavors. I’m working on finishing my smalls for Stitch West. Look forward to meeting you but promise to keep my fan girl excitement to a minimum. Love your Halloween tree skirt and can’t wait to see it complete. Safe travels and keep your needles flying! Love 1, 2 and 4.
Working on Cozy Cabin Christmas, Prairie Schooler January, and We Gather Together :O. Also a Lella Boutique 4th of July quilt! Thank you for the great floss tube...my first one here! 1, 2, 3, 4
I typically work on whatever I feel like. I stitched up ghost pepper seeds but haven't fished yet. I also started a Blue Flower retreat piece. Lately I haven't had much time to stitch between teaching and sick kids. 1, 2, 4
So fun to see your flosstube back. Always enjoy your videos, both stitching and papercrafting. I am just finishing up my Hygge Holiday stitch and looking forward to Halloween. 1, 3, 4.
Hi Nicole, your floss tube was amazing! It definitely had all the things! Adorable little Stitch gift! Really have me thinking about the 12 days of Christmas SAL!! All your linens are beautiful! Planning on ordering the Color and Cotton sugar cookie! Happy crafting all the things!!!! 1,2,3,4,5
So many great updates and inspiration. Had to quickly go and order the Shepherd's Bush Stitch bag! Can't wait to hear how you stitch the 12 Days of Christmas Stockings as I was wondering about changing out the fabric myself. 1,2,3,4
I have missed your cross stitch videos! Glad you’re back! I am STILL working on a Chessie and Me patriotic stitch called American Coastal. It’s tiny but there are tons of stitches including one over one. 😜😂 Plus a Dimensions SAL hosted by Liz Mathews AND my biscornu from your Anniversary SAL. 1 3 4
Such a wonderful video seeing all the beautiful things. I too feel like I want to do all the things in fall/winter. It’s the perfect time in my mind. I just need the family to cooperate and get on the same page. 😂 Bring on fall and all the crafts!
2, 4. I am having fun stitching several autumn designs. I have also started a larger Plum Street Samplers design “Grace Doth Abounds”. Fun! Regarding your Apothecary stitch - I would stick with the 32 ct and use the one strand of floss. Then just “getter done”! Quilts are wonderful. My daughters may have more than one quilt I have made. I enjoy creating & they enjoy receiving - win win combo. Enjoy your creative fall!
So glad you are back...we missed you!! Totally understand the time limitations with Stamptember...but miss your flosstubes. Stitching scary September. 1, 2 , 4
I’ve been working on Not Scary September. I enjoy stitching the cute Halloween charts. I am almost finished with several smalls and will be so happy to have them on display this year. I love the inspiration you show for your finishes. Thank you for sharing all that you work on. I watch your card making flosstubes also. I don’t make cards but find your process so interesting. The cards are just beautiful. 2,3,4,5
I’m so glad to see that you had time to make a FlossTube video during your busiest month. I have been stitching some samplers, some Halloween, and some Fall. Basically, whatever is calling to me at the moment. 😂 1,2,4,5
Great video, loved the Walmart run in the middle😊. I am working on Shepherds Bush Spooky Stitches pouch, Joy bag and just finished Scary bag. I love the freedom of one strand! 2 , 3 , 4
2, 4 Glad to see you back! I'm currently stitching Summer Stitching Seasons from SWTH. But I just finished Goodness and Plenty from Plum Street. It's SO cute!
That was a packed video. Missed seeing your videos but figured you were busy with the content creation. Glad you are back. I am working on the small shepherds Bush design on the plastic bag. # 1,3,4
So happy to have you back! Have you considered using a black sulky thread for your apothecary? You could use one strand and it would give you more coverage but wouldn't be quite as thick as 2 strands.
Working on Hygee Holiday and watching all your Flosstube videos for 2024. Like you, I am a “new return” cross stitcher and I find myself wanting to stitch all the things! I would like to 4 in your giveaway.
So glad you’re back and that Stamptember wasn’t so exhausting!! I’m working on the Night of the Frost Dragon SAL by Flossy Fox, Star Dragon by Owl Forest Embroidery, and the Housebarn by Cottage Garden Samplings. I’m exciting to get to the floating house, lighthouse, and hobbit house. 2, 3, 4
4, I loved seeing your swoon quilt!! SO BEAUTIFUL! I’ve made 2 swoon16 quilts (one in Nantucket Summer fabrics and one in an older line Little Ruby) I bought her swoon pattern pack and wanted to make her swoon quilt someday but after seeing yours I DEFINITELY want to make now! I’ll be using Lighthearted.🩵 In cross stitch I’m working on Pumpkin Blossom Place. 😊
For the Salem Apothecary I would finish the word Apothecary and then stitch the rest with one stand. The Primrose girls stitched it with one and 2 stands. Both look good. I’m stitching Midnight Watch now.. love it! 1 2 4
So good to see you back again. Glad Stamptember is going well for you this year. I’m stitching on Hometown Mystery SAL by Teresa Kogut among many other things. 😉 1, 3, 4. Hugs!
Wow! What a video 😊. I’m currently working on SWTH Candy Cane Lane. Started it on July 1, 2024. At the same time I’m also stitching HOD The Summer Basket. I’m on the last one of the three. 2, 3, 4 Like you I have several finished stitch pieces but not fully finished. Sent one to my sister to make a pillow since I don’t sew. Have a great week.
Thanks for showing how you made Jessica's scissor fob. I just finished a couple of smalls and always have hard time turning and getting nice corners. I'm going to use your technique!
I stopped the video to look for this tree! I need it! I found it at the little town by our lake house but, we aren’t going to the lake this weekend and the store will only hold for 4 days! Wah! Holding my breath that it’s still there next week! Ok, stopped again to get When Pumpkins Glow & the board from Chantelle. Eek! I’ve finished my Salem Sisters Apothecary on my 32 ct VCM & love it. Since you don’t, I think you should go to your comfort stitch of 36 ct with strand.
Stamptember is always crazy. So glad Heidi changed the release time to noon, no late nights this year. Love all your content but glad you are back with your stitching.

Took me a few days to get through, but loved it! B is going to love his quilt!
I’m right there with you on stitching with one thread. I really don’t like stitching with two threads anymore. I say go with the one thread on the 32. Love seeing you back!
Thank you for sharing the TREE also! I got one and I am OBSESSED!!!!l I love cypress trees, the lights on it are Perfect!
I'm sure your kids are going to cherish the quilts. I am working on Prairie Schooler Christmas ornaments. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5

Welcome back Nichol! We missed you!! ❤
I’ve been stitching tomato patterns. I loved all of yours! So glad you’re back!! 1,4
I know how busy you are in September, but so glad you are still getting in some stitching time and were able to share a video with us! I always LOVE to see what you are working on. I am in full-on fall and Halloween mode with my stitching right now. It's my favorite time of the year! 1, 2

#2 and 4 You are so inspiring in all of the work you do. It's amazing how you get so much accomplished. Keep up the good work.
I typically work on whatever I feel like. I stitched up ghost pepper seeds but haven't fished yet. I also started a Blue Flower retreat piece. Lately I haven't had much time to stitch between teaching and sick kids.

So glad to see you back, loved the stitch scissor fob 1, 2
So many great updates and inspiration. Had to quickly go and order the Shepherd's Bush Stitch bag! Can't wait to hear how you stitch the 12 Days of Christmas Stockings as I was wondering about changing out the fabric myself. 1,2,3,4
1, 2, 3, 4, 5. So excited to see you back. Great video. I’m stitching fall.

Such a wonderful video seeing all the beautiful things. I too feel like I want to do all the things in fall/winter. It’s the perfect time in my mind. I just need the family to cooperate and get on the same page. 😂 Bring on fall and all the crafts!

I’m stitching Parson Brown by Notforgotten Farm. Great FlossTube today.
1 and 4 I am stitching Primrose Cottage Halloween Quaker. Glad you are back - have been missing your Flosstube videos.
Thank you Nichol! You’re such an inspiration ❤️ I am stitching Primrose Cottage Welcome to the North Pole. I am a monogamous stitcher. 1, 2, 3, 4
Great to see you back and yes, that haunted house is waiting at Michaels for me. Lol. I've been stitching a little bit of everything. 1, 2 and 4
I’ve been working on Not Scary September.
So happy to see your new flosstube! I am stitching on Primrose Cottage sip and stitch, but Gourdness gracious is next! 2, 4 please.
I like seeing everything you make. Lots of inspiration. 1 2 3 4
Love everything you do!! I am working on The Quilted Snowman cross stitch. Whew!!!! 1,2,3,4
For the Salem Apothecary I would finish the word Apothecary and then stitch the rest with one stand. The Primrose girls stitched it with one and 2 stands. Both look good. I’m stitching Midnight Watch now.. love it! 1 2 4
So good to see you today! Currently working on “Scary” by Shepherd’s Bush. My first plaid bag, but not my last! 1,2,4, & 5.
So good to see you back again. Glad Stamptember is going well for you this year. I’m stitching on Hometown Mystery SAL by Teresa Kogut among many other things. 😉 1, 3, 4. Hugs!

I know it's Stamptember, but I've really missed your stitching videos.
Wow! What a video 😊. I’m currently working on SWTH Candy Cane Lane. Started it on July 1, 2024. At the same time I’m also stitching HOD The Summer Basket. I’m on the last one of the three. 2, 3, 4
Like you I have several finished stitch pieces but not fully finished. Sent one to my sister to make a pillow since I don’t sew. Have a great week.
4 and 5. Thank you for another great video
Thanks for showing how you made Jessica's scissor fob. I just finished a couple of smalls and always have hard time turning and getting nice corners. I'm going to use your technique!
Awesome about Stitch West….cya there
Welcome back! I am stitching Halloween. 1,3,4. Thank you for a great video.
I love the cat and house!!
