That was fun to see what gear is available now . I haven't looked at tents for decades so those were much more high tech than I'm used to .

Once you have chosen your tent my advice is to get your bedding sorted and buy the best you can afford. Getting a good nights sleep for us is the most important especially if you are unlucky to have bad weather. If you have a good sleep it sets you up to cope with the day and enjoy the holiday.

When you said air tent, All I could see in my mind was a bouncy castle. I really wondered just how people in England camp! For a comfy chair, check out the ones that can recline. I saw them on your tour, they look like they have a built in foot rest. My hubby and I love ours!

This has been very helpful as I’ve been looking at getting one of those air tents and it’s given me a good idea of space inside

Well Sarah and Mick....good luck with the British weather while camping. If you get the sunshine and long warm light nights, till late. Plus the scorching hot weather we've had the last couple of years, things will be fun. Not so much when its wet and the ground is muddy. Meh, you'll make the most of what you get either way, I'm sure.
I look forward to seeing what you make of camping. Its something i haven't done since i was a teen. Things have changed so much since then.
😂 You didn't dare touch the tent in those days, or any wet on the fabric leaked in, if it was raining. 😲 😂
Who forgot to waterproof the tent oops!
The tents now are amazing. Eeek but costly. Though i was quite amazed at the one you were looking at here. Reasonably priced with the discount. If your going to use multiple times, well worth spending to get as good a quality as you can. No matter what, you don't want to come home feeling dreadful cos you've not been able to relax and enjoy. If your not comfortable to sleep at night, you'll need another holiday to catch up and recover. 😂
I'm with you Sarah. Get the comfortable mattress. Get cheap where you can, but not for that.
As we know from tales of old....princessescan feel a pea under a mattress. 😉 xxx

Definitely get a foot print for tent makes a lot of difference. Cheap carpet runner up middle of your sitting area. So your not getting mud all over. Decent bed and chair. We got a lamp with remote to put in porch. So when walking up to tent in dark switch on lamp no stumbling around in dark

Id never heard of blow up tents til you! Have fun. We sleep in the back of our unit. (have used tent and rv). Bought a 1 burner propane stove, have small table for it, coffee and pot, fryin pan, small pan, chairs with cuahions, and insulated cups. Find a place close to restroom, water, and its relaxing to sit outdoors.

Basic chairs are hard after a while, so cushions. We save old memory foam from home, and comforters, for bed. Dont forget glasses cases, tooth and ear aid holder, earplugs if necessary. Fill bottles with water, take medicine for allergy and bug bites and scratches, etc.

I honestly have no idea what you are planning.
I have been camping where I and my mates carried everything in our backpacks.
I have also been in camps where all I needed was my own bivouac tent for my bed. Everything else was provided.
These huge 30-minute-build tents are daft. Three bedrooms? Blackout room?
