Can I just be the one to point out the EXTRAORDINARY voice acting for Jeff's mum? You actually genuinely made her sound like a human being, and the emotion in her voice is just breathtaking. I love this, great job. Seriously.

Okay seriously though, everyone did an amazing job making this. It's so emotional I almost cried multiple times, the voice acting was so realistic and terrifying, and the writing is just... fantastic. It makes so much more sense than the original and it's so chill-inducing. I mean, I feel horrible for Jeff but also I hate him at the same time?? And poor Liu was a main victim, like his parents and Jane. The whole thing is SPECTACULAR and David Near deserves more love for masterpieces like this one. I loved it and can't wait for #3 of The Morgue Files!

This version of Jeff is probably the best out there. He seems way more....unhinged and just genuinely angry and in pain. You feel like you have to walk on eggshells around him, like any little thing could set him off. And to add to it, his voice sounds raspy, gravelly, dangerously calm (most of the time). It's more of a voice that a war veteran would have, not a 17 year old highschool boy, which makes it even more bone chilling. It really gives you the sense that he's been through some extremely traumatic experiences before the Mason family moved. And the fact that he can go from very calm and relaxed to completely livid and bloodthirsty in a matter of seconds. It's a whole new level of terrifying. David Near did amazing with both Jeffrey and Liu Mason and should be incredibly proud of this entire video. It takes a lot to scare me and he accomplished it. Well done! :)
I mean, they are worse. The difference is Jeff is a monster. He’s more like a rabid animal without humanity, trying to suppress his urges to be normal.
I think Louis's development in this is great, he originally just assumes his sons are looking for attention, just causing trouble. Until he's hit with the harsh reality of one of his sons almost being killed.

The quality of the complete overhaul you've given to Jeff's story and the expansion and intertwining of the Creepypasta universe as a whole cannot be overstated. I thought Toby's case file was harrowing already, but this takes it to a whole other level. Your talent for audio work *shines* here, from the subtle little details of a turn signal clicking and footsteps on gravel, to the real meat of this series, the gore. All the kills and attacks drip, splatter, and gush in all their wet, violent glory. I'd almost call it gratuitous, if it wasn't fitting in with the absolute maniac that is Jeff. Which brings me to the performances. Everyone did fantastic in this. Sure, there were a few corny readings (like the best character in this video, Filbert), but as a whole everyone's emotions, readings, panic, and most of all, screams, were all on point. Plus, considering the latter third of this story plays off as a homage to classic slasher flicks like Friday The 13th, Nightmare On Elm Street, and especially Halloween, it's a little fitting. This narrative paints Jeff much more as the Michael Myers-esque slasher villain he *should be,* and not the edgy-kawaii-desu-desu-heartthrob that fangirls made him (Eeeeuuuugggghhhh.). Which finally brings me to Jeffery Mason. David, you knocked it out of the *park.* That laugh is on par with Heath Ledger's performance as the Joker in The Dark Knight, and that is *not* an exaggeration. You made the descent of morose Jefferey to psychopathic Jeff visceral, disturbing, sickening, and completely enthralling to witness. At the same time, for all the clearly negative aspects Jeff had, you still find a way for us to feel at least a little sorry for him. Much like you did with Toby, you make it abundantly clear that even before he decided to start slicing people, Jeff was an extremely troubled individual who was suffering from what seems like a whole smorgasboard of mental illnesses, and that he did not become what he is *because* of those mental illnesses, but that they *did* contribute to it. Which of course, also posits the unfortunately all-too-real question of "If these people had received the help they needed, would they have turned out the way they did?". You place them as just as much victims of the circumstances they're in, while still not excusing their actions. My final note on the project of course also has to highlight how you are clearly making your own little Creepypasta Cinematic Universe with this, and I am completely here for it. Mr. Widemouth, Jane The Killer, Smile.Dog, and a couple others as well it seems, all got their time in the (blood-splattered) limelight. I thought we were going to get something like this after Toby's case file, with the hints of Eyeless Jack, Slenderman, and of course Jeff, but this one confirms it even more. Needless to say, I'm very interested to see who else finds their way into these tales. Either way, this is an absolute home run of a project. Everyone involved should take a bow.

This is definitely my favorite version of the Jeff The Killer canon. Also small tidbit but I love the way you’ve characterized the family. Especially the dad. It’s so easy to just make the father this pure evil and abusive fuck but you made him kind of real. Like he’s a horrible father but he doesn’t hate his kids and I like that because we’ve all seen people like that. People who genuinely do care about their family but are either too lazy or stuck in their ways to do much about it. That’s what makes this story more interesting and tragic too. I also like how you addressed that Liu is an odd egg whose definitely got his own problems too.
This Jeff is level 9000 creepy AF. But, oddly intriguing. Living by them would of been freaky. However, I'd probably risk it. Getting caught mid hormone by his father wasn't helpful on his mental health trauma. 🤣

He loved his whole family but when his madness took over he was protecting them in his own sick twisted way, maybe so nothing bad could ever happen to them, he thinks that they are safe now and he can do what he feels needs to be done. Its honestly kinda sad how much his mind has warped in order for him to be doing all this stuff. Anyway this story has me hooked and I’m secretly rooting for Jeff lol
Going back to this and listening to Ticci Toby's again. I'm noticing all the connections. Same town (Forest Lawn), same school (Principal Webb), and also the connection with Jeff killing a cat and Toby finding a dead cat in the woods when he's running from kids at school. I wonder if the rest of the Morgue Files will be intertwined like this? I'm really eager to find out more about this world you're creating!
It's cool that you're seeing all the connections! The Morgue Files is a shared universe which all the characters exist in, some non-creepypasta characters as well. Each case has a few pieces of the overall puzzle. I'm glad you're excited for the future!

My fiancé had to go to work and as soon as he left I locked our deadbolt to our apartment and then I grab knife from our kitchen. I put it on our dirty clothes hamper and I didn’t go outside on less I had to take my dog out potty or take the trash out.

This episode is more ambitious than the last one! This is not a bad thing! I like that you expanded Forest Lawn to make it into a town and to expand the connections to get them together in the end. Although they could've been more developed. I like on how you portrayed Lui is the feminine one of the family and the development of him and Judy are great throughout the story as things fell apart. The final design of scarred Jeff is my favourite design of Jeff The Killer personally. It gives a gory and menacing vibe to it. I like on how the storytelling is told, similar to Toby's case it's done in past tense however it's in a different form, with journal entries. Since I doubt that, nobody's getting much out of Jeff through an interview. That somehow makes me think of found footage... more like in found journal case. Anyway, you've done a great job with this project David Near, Chazz Ravenelle and Nick Cortez! And The others that contributed too! An ambitious project that has paid off well. I’m a year late (unfortunately), but I just had to comment how amazing this is. I used to be a typical creepypasta fan when I was around 10-12, and I actually used to watch your creepypasta voice videos back then. However, as most of us did, I grew out of that phase to go on with my life, and came to realise how silly the original JTK was, but I came across your channel again tonight and I’m so amazed, honestly. You managed to make characters that weren’t scary such as JTK and Homicidal Liu interesting, and definitely 100x better than the original, and I was surprised to be terrified, disgusted and emotionally impacted by your version of Jeff (in a good way, of course). This definitely deserves many more views and I look forward to your other videos on Jeff and other classic creepypastas from back in the day. THIS is what creepypasta should’ve been a long time ago.
Jeff the killer was just as gorgeous as ticci toby's. Great job, everyone! They did such a great job on voice acting editing, re-creating the plot and everything that follows along! I kinda imagine the world Jeff and Toby (or Tobias now) live in is destined to suffer and/or die considering the amount of Creepypasta villains that could exist (Basically like DC's Dark Multiverse). Or maybe I'm just thinking too much. It is depressing though.
Is the headaches Jeff is talking about a refrence to one of Toby's original voices? I remember he talked about "Whenever I killed something, my head would stop hurting and the voices would go away, but only for a short while."
They are similar, yet different, that’s all I can say for now. Jeff is not referencing him though as Jeff’s story takes place a year before Toby’s story and he wouldn’t even know Toby.
After re listening to this my favorite character is Louis, I felt like he was realistic and relatable, at first glance it looks like he doesn’t care about his sons bc of “teenage drama” which makes sense from his POV but when it came towards Jeff’s and Liu’s safety he actually cared, where Judy didn’t, angered & trying to figure out who harmed his son and went to go look for Liu late at night, like a true father, great character till the end! :)
I beg to differ, he only really cared after Jeff got hurt and didn’t show any effort into trying to help before it got bad. Meanwhile the mom did her very best to be as helpful and supportive but in the end couldn’t handle the weight of it all
How all these creepypasta characters are popping up and blending in so perfectly with taking twists on the original stories bur still keeping to similar aspects of them.. I love it. This is really reviving the stories which have mostly been dead for a while. Amazing work, I look forward to more.. I am also not sleeping tonight.

I love the detail about the Glasgow Smile in here! I always thought that would make more sense in the context of it's history, and I adore how it was integrated into the story! As he sort of rocks the long hair, grizzly tall look in The Dirt, and if not David Labrava, then maybe Kim Coates, who played Tig in Sons Of Anarchy and Declan in Bad Blood, after watching his role in Bad Blood & SOA, he could pull off a convincingly intimidating gang boss/Biker president, as I'm assuming the men who beat Jeff were a biker gang.

I just discovered about this channel from my friend today and let me tell ya: I've never read Ticci Toby or Jeff's story and I binged watch this episode and Ticci Toby's episode... I AM HOOKED this is amazing! I mean I've done two small creepy pasta readings on my channel but yeah, this is a hole other level of insane! I really can't wait for the next story! ( Btw I would really like to hear an Eyeless Jack story )
This is probably the best version of Jeff the Killer that I’ve ever read/listened to. The story is so realistic and the addition of the other creepypastas actually worked out really well. Even the Smile Dog end scene was good. Fantastic work, and I’ll be tuning in to more stories.

The quality of the stories? The sound editing, the writing-- a complete revamp of what was known, a new twist to the story, something that I loved! Although it was only been two cases so far, they are both so unique in their own ways! Strongly loved characters by the community, given your own breath, and still faithful to all the little qualities that made us love them! How all the otherwise easily overlooked details intertwine together to make a strong rope that aids you along the story! The little radio interferences, the recurring characters, both human and monsters alike, I can't help but smile when I recognize a character that you subtly drop as the story goes on! And, it may sound silly or redundant given the nature of your channel, bUT THE VOICE ACTING?? I've been a follower of yours for some years now, (although on other accounts) and I'm still floored every time I listen to your voice! You can convey emotions really well, and most of times not even speaking is necessary! Just a scream, a grunt, a breath, it all sounds incredibly natural! I'm not sure if you'll ever come across this message, but I was wondering, would it be okay to animate some snippets from both cases? I can't wait to see what you'll come up with next! I just wanna say that I’m so glad you made jeff an asshole here, too many people give him a sad backstory like he got bullied once then suddenly he lost his insanity. I feel the way you wrote him is more realistic. I’m also glad you didn’t make him an all powerful mary sue, he still can be beaten up like any other human. one of my favorite versions of jeff to be sure!
I feel like it was meant to be a slow build up, but it wasn't done the best. I lost my shit for a bit due to having neglectful parents and essentially daily trauma and a smorgasbord of mental illnesses, however I regained control of myself eventually through supportive friends and what little kind family I had, I got better. He just made the consistent mistake of ignoring every outfit he had left. I did that too for awhile but I got better
I forgot this existed lmao, i listened to it religiously when i was like 10. I found it again and almost had a heart attack, it actually makes me so happy. Okay seriously though, everyone did an amazing job making this. It's so emotional I almost cried multiple times, the voice acting was so realistic and terrifying, and the writing is just... fantastic. It makes so much more sense than the original and it's so chill-inducing. I mean, I feel horrible for Jeff but also I hate him at the same time?? And poor Liu was a main victim, like his parents and Jane. The whole thing is SPECTACULAR and David Near deserves more love for masterpieces like this one. I loved it and can't wait for #3 of The Morgue Files!

This version of Jeff is probably the best out there. He seems way more....unhinged and just genuinely angry and in pain. You feel like you have to walk on eggshells around him, like any little thing could set him off. And to add to it, his voice sounds raspy, gravelly, dangerously calm (most of the time). It's more of a voice that a war veteran would have, not a 17 year old highschool boy, which makes it even more bone chilling. It really gives you the sense that he's been through some extremely traumatic experiences before the Mason family moved. And the fact that he can go from very calm and relaxed to completely livid and bloodthirsty in a matter of seconds. It's a whole new level of terrifying. David Near did amazing with both Jeffrey and Liu Mason and should be incredibly proud of this entire video. It takes a lot to scare me and he accomplished it. Well done! :)

The quality of the complete overhaul you've given to Jeff's story and the expansion and intertwining of the Creepypasta universe as a whole cannot be overstated. I thought Toby's case file was harrowing already, but this takes it to a whole other level. Your talent for audio work *shines* here, from the subtle little details of a turn signal clicking and footsteps on gravel, to the real meat of this series, the gore. All the kills and attacks drip, splatter, and gush in all their wet, violent glory. I'd almost call it gratuitous, if it wasn't fitting in with the absolute maniac that is Jeff.
Which brings me to the performances. Everyone did fantastic in this. Sure, there were a few corny readings (like the best character in this video, Filbert), but as a whole everyone's emotions, readings, panic, and most of all, screams, were all on point. Plus, considering the latter third of this story plays off as a homage to classic slasher flicks like Friday The 13th, Nightmare On Elm Street, and especially Halloween, it's a little fitting. This narrative paints Jeff much more as the Michael Myers-esque slasher villain he *should be,* and not the edgy-kawaii-desu-desu-heartthrob that fangirls made him (Eeeeuuuugggghhhh.).
Which finally brings me to Jeffery Mason. David, you knocked it out of the *park.* That laugh is on par with Heath Ledger's performance as the Joker in The Dark Knight, and that is *not* an exaggeration. You made the descent of morose Jefferey to psychopathic Jeff visceral, disturbing, sickening, and completely enthralling to witness. At the same time, for all the clearly negative aspects Jeff had, you still find a way for us to feel at least a little sorry for him.
Much like you did with Toby, you make it abundantly clear that even before he decided to start slicing people, Jeff was an extremely troubled individual who was suffering from what seems like a whole smorgasboard of mental illnesses, and that he did not become what he is *because* of those mental illnesses, but that they *did* contribute to it. Which of course, also posits the unfortunately all-too-real question of "If these people had received the help they needed, would they have turned out the way they did?".
You place them as just as much victims of the circumstances they're in, while still not excusing their actions.
My final note on the project of course also has to highlight how you are clearly making your own little Creepypasta Cinematic Universe with this, and I am completely here for it. Mr. Widemouth, Jane The Killer, Smile.Dog, and a couple others as well it seems, all got their time in the (blood-splattered) limelight. I thought we were going to get something like this after Toby's case file, with the hints of Eyeless Jack, Slenderman, and of course Jeff, but this one confirms it even more. Needless to say, I'm very interested to see who else finds their way into these tales.
Either way, this is an absolute home run of a project. Everyone involved should take a bow.

Also small tidbit but I love the way you’ve characterized the family. Especially the dad. It’s so easy to just make the father this pure evil and abusive fuck but you made him kind of real.
Like he’s a horrible father but he doesn’t hate his kids and I like that because we’ve all seen people like that. People who genuinely do care about their family but are either too lazy or stuck in their ways to do much about it.
That’s what makes this story more interesting and tragic too.
I also like how you addressed that Liu is an odd egg whose definitely got his own problems too.
This Jeff is level 9000 creepy AF. But, oddly intriguing. Living by them would of been freaky. However, I'd probably risk it. Getting caught mid hormone by his father wasn't helpful on his mental health trauma. 🤣

The first time I listened to this was during a wind storm and the power was out. My fiancé had to go to work and as soon as he left I locked our deadbolt to our apartment and then I grab knife from our kitchen. I put it on our dirty clothes hamper and I didn’t go outside on less I had to take my dog out potty or take the trash out.

This episode is more ambitious than the last one! This is not a bad thing! I like that you expanded Forest Lawn to make it into a town and to expand the connections to get them together in the end. Although they could've been more developed.
I like on how you portrayed Lui is the feminine one of the family and the development of him and Judy are great throughout the story as things fell apart. The final design of scarred Jeff is my favourite design of Jeff The Killer personally. It gives a gory and menacing vibe to it.
I like on how the storytelling is told, similar to Toby's case it's done in past tense however it's in a different form, with journal entries. Since I doubt that, nobody's getting much out of Jeff through an interview. That somehow makes me think of found footage... more like in found journal case.
Anyway, you've done a great job with this project David Near, Chazz Ravenelle and Nick Cortez! And The others that contributed too! An ambitious project that has paid off well. Happy Birthday David Near and you have a good Halloween!

I’m a year late (unfortunately), but I just had to comment how amazing this is. I used to be a typical creepypasta fan when I was around 10-12, and I actually used to watch your creepypasta voice videos back then. However, as most of us did, I grew out of that phase to go on with my life, and came to realise how silly the original JTK was, but I came across your channel again tonight and I’m so amazed, honestly. You managed to make characters that weren’t scary such as JTK and Homicidal Liu interesting, and definitely 100x better than the original, and I was surprised to be terrified, disgusted and emotionally impacted by your version of Jeff (in a good way, of course). This definitely deserves many more views and I look forward to your other videos on Jeff and other classic creepypastas from back in the day. THIS is what creepypasta should’ve been a long time ago.
Jeff the killer was just as gorgeous as ticci toby's. Great job, everyone! They did such a great job on voice acting editing, re-creating the plot and everything that follows along! Is the headaches Jeff is talking about a refrence to one of Toby's original voices? I remember he talked about "Whenever I killed something, my head would stop hurting and the voices would go away, but only for a short while."
They are similar, yet different, that’s all I can say for now. Jeff is not referencing him though as Jeff’s story takes place a year before Toby’s story and he wouldn’t even know Toby.
I love the fact that Forest Lawn is like Derry from IT and probably Zalgo is behind all the horrible things that has been happening in that city

After re listening to this my favorite character is Louis, I felt like he was realistic and relatable, at first glance it looks like he doesn’t care about his sons bc of “teenage drama” which makes sense from his POV but when it came towards Jeff’s and Liu’s safety he actually cared, where Judy didn’t, angered & trying to figure out who harmed his son and went to go look for Liu late at night, like a true father, great character till the end! :)
I beg to differ, he only really cared after Jeff got hurt and didn’t show any effort into trying to help before it got bad. Meanwhile the mom did her very best to be as helpful and supportive but in the end couldn’t handle the weight of it all
How all these creepypasta characters are popping up and blending in so perfectly with taking twists on the original stories bur still keeping to similar aspects of them.. I love it. This is really reviving the stories which have mostly been dead for a while. Amazing work, I look forward to more.. I am also not sleeping tonight.

I just discovered about this channel from my friend today and let me tell ya: I've never read Ticci Toby or Jeff's story and I binged watch this episode and Ticci Toby's episode... I AM HOOKED this is amazing! I mean I've done two small creepy pasta readings on my channel but yeah, this is a hole other level of insane! I really can't wait for the next story! This is probably the best version of Jeff the Killer that I’ve ever read/listened to. The story is so realistic and the addition of the other creepypastas actually worked out really well. Even the Smile Dog end scene was good. Fantastic work, and I’ll be tuning in to more stories.

The quality of the stories? The sound editing, the writing-- a complete revamp of what was known, a new twist to the story, something that I loved!
Although it was only been two cases so far, they are both so unique in their own ways! Strongly loved characters by the community, given your own breath, and still faithful to all the little qualities that made us love them!
How all the otherwise easily overlooked details intertwine together to make a strong rope that aids you along the story! The little radio interferences, the recurring characters, both human and monsters alike, I can't help but smile when I recognize a character that you subtly drop as the story goes on!
And, it may sound silly or redundant given the nature of your channel, bUT THE VOICE ACTING?? I've been a follower of yours for some years now, (although on other accounts) and I'm still floored every time I listen to your voice! You can convey emotions really well, and most of times not even speaking is necessary! Just a scream, a grunt, a breath, it all sounds incredibly natural!
I'm not sure if you'll ever come across this message, but I was wondering, would it be okay to animate some snippets from both cases?

I just wanna say that I’m so glad you made jeff an asshole here, too many people give him a sad backstory like he got bullied once then suddenly he lost his insanity. I feel the way you wrote him is more realistic. I’m also glad you didn’t make him an all powerful mary sue, he still can be beaten up like any other human. one of my favorite versions of jeff to be sure!
I feel like it was meant to be a slow build up, but it wasn't done the best. I lost my shit for a bit due to having neglectful parents and essentially daily trauma and a smorgasbord of mental illnesses, however I regained control of myself eventually through supportive friends and what little kind family I had, I got better. He just made the consistent mistake of ignoring every outfit he had left. I did that too for awhile but I got better
I forgot this existed lmao, i listened to it religiously when i was like 10. I found it again and almost had a heart attack, it actually makes me so happy. This is definitely my favorite Jeff the Killer version ive heard and ive been listening to these stories since i was about six.
