WOW Its great to see these ladies. Blimey what a nice lady Maggie Kirkpatrick is you could hardly imagine it after her playing the evil Ferguson for so long. Cell Block H was fantastic Thanks for sharing
@@65minimom Maggie auditioned for Fiona Spence's character Vera Bennett "Vinegar tits" but didn't get it. I don't think it would of worked if they played each others character
Oh my goodness. I would pay big to go tour the places Prisoner was filmed! Both Maggie Kirkpatrick and Val Lehman gave stellar performances. They were so believable.
We all loved Bea , it was a great roll for val and to say she couldn't do anything else is rediculous . Val Maggie and all of those great ladies did an incredible job. I was not even a teen when it was on to so not allowed to watch it but I have now watched every single episode over a dozen times and I still love it, still tear up and smile fondly at good old Aussie intuitive love ya val xoxox
Maggie Kirkpatrick - always remembered for her role in PCBH as "The Freak". You can thank Ian Smith for coming up with the idea of the Joan Ferguson character.
I don't think of Bea as a “villain.” She helped as many people as the show's protagonists. …...... Thanks for posting this! Programs like this are pretty scarce on my part of the world.
Bea was hardly "A villain". She was the main protagonist for the first 4 years. It was Bea that fought the system, it was Bea that looked after the others, it was Bea that fought the antagonists such as Vinegar Tits etc.
Val Lehman and Maggie Kirkpatrick made Prisoner.Loved both their characters!-Go Queen Bea!!

@Daniel Smith Okay, dude...whatever you want to think.

@Daniel Smith Okay...
Great programme...used to watch in the UK with my parents
So I need to go to Australia now for that Tour! LOL!

Hard to imagine they were only going to do 16 episodes!
maggie kirkpatrick was fantastic as joan she wasn't just a one dimensional villain
sometimes you had glimpses of how terrible her life had been before

i love maggie she is wonderful
Maggie did a great job as the Officer
I agree, she was awesome
i love Maggie met her in brighton prisoner musical 1996
Poor old Maggie got a rough trot since this interview. She conducted herself with dignity though.
I also want Bea back!
I love prisoner cell block h
Beautiful
Can you upload the full episode of this please, Thank you
I didnt watch prisoner for ages after Bea left. I did adventually watch It was good but Bea made it tge best
Bea is the best. Outside of the stage also.
Val Lehman gave a couple different answers why she left prisoner
Fergo was genuinely evil
I took some pics from your video hope u don't mind
val thought she was bigger than the show.....thats why she left...but it didnt work out for her
why would it work out? she was only good at being Bea. she can across as a bit big headed in interviews.
Did she ever do Home & Away or Neighbours?
No never
DrunkWrestling F She has just done Neighbours.
Late last year Val appeared in a handful of Neighbours episodes - including a couple of scenes with Colette Mann.

2x murderest Bea Smith. She killed 3?
KL WILLIAMSON !!! Lol
Maggie would've played a wonderful vinegar... but her freak was freaky!
Bea was not a villain she was the hero the freak was the villain
only because it was fiction. in real life the Freak is needed to sort out those scumbags. yeah Bea is lovable because she's not real
Bea could be a villain too. In early episodes she definitely pushed the villain more.
u should of lock her up and threw the key away lol
I think Joan was a kind person but because she had a sad life which made her into the freak.
Val didn't play a villain.well apart from two or three murders
i thought carol burns was better than Val leaman and a lot nicer to sorry she's died but she will be in heaven
