The best thing in life are....provided by Jack Ruch! And yes..........free here but we must support and share his phenomenal lessons and buy his equally great courses! This lesson fits right in with Jack's most recent TrueFire Tasty Blues Rhythm course (must have!!) and then learn dynamite soloing concepts on his Shades of Blues course!! I have zero irons in this Jack Ruch fire except for keeping his mind-blowing lessons coming!! This is the way to learn advanced guitar concepts..........in great detail from Jack's experience and calmly taught and demonstrated to us! Jim C.

@@fallingsky1984 I believe what he meant was that it’s rare to find teaching of this quality on UA-cam. Sure, there are plenty of people showing how to play tunes or some techniques, but Jack has the relaxed and confident delivery of a true pro, which is.

No marriage ring. That is why he can be relaxed. He does not have a wife-o-low stressing him out.

He moves just fast enough but doesn't skip important details like "how do I find the 4th or 6th" when comping over the chords. So helpful. I started playing guitar in 1984 and it took me years to gather the information he just shared in 20 minutes. We are fortunate.

One of the best lessons I have seen, love the fact it encourages us to make our own melodies and be creative also your laid back style of explaining the theory along with the close up view of the fretboard makes it a top lesson, will subscribe.

Rhythm guitar is overlooked but in my opinion the best way to develop and improve as a guitar player! Soloing helps with some technical skill but rhythm helps you improve on quick chord changes, following the chords to put in small licks, be more dynamical, and many more things. Great video!

This lesson is fantastic. Thank you so much!
I studied classical mainly as a kid, but I am learning jazz, rock, blues, and r and b now that I am through college and this really helped me improve. After a shoulder injury that I had, slim electrics work much better for me now.
    Thank you so much!

This is exactly what I have been looking for. Someone to demonstrate and explain some of these techniques. I've been playing for a long time, but I'm self taught, and there are things I want to learn, or already know, but can't explain. Awesome. I've always loved this style, Steve Cropper and Cornell Dupree. I just learned so much. Thanks Man!

Another great lesson. So nice to have intermediate lessons that assumes the player knows a decent amount of theory. And you're showing the stuff I've always wondered how to do but never spent the time learning by ear and analyzing the theory of. I frankly dont like listening to this kind of music enough to spend the time, but have always wanted to play it. I pretty much just listen to jazz rock and metal and blues. Your videos have helped me lately learning how to play in major keys, the missing link in my life. Thank you.

This is soloing with chords which is a fundamental jazz technique. When I play rock rhythm I keep it simple solid and concise to allow the keys , sax , harmonica to have a solid constant timing and position in the scale for whatever duration . This allows the soloist to completely fill the remaining space instead competing with another group of notes from a rhythm section . The stuff your showing is very cool , but I wouldn’t use as a rhythm backing a rock solo
