The best thing in life are....provided by Jack Ruch! And yes..........free here but we must support and share his phenomenal lessons and buy his equally great courses! This lesson fits right in with Jack's most recent TrueFire Tasty Blues Rhythm course (must have!!) and then learn dynamite soloing concepts on his Shades of Blues course!! I have zero irons in this Jack Ruch fire except for keeping his mind-blowing lessons coming!! This is the way to learn advanced guitar concepts..........in great detail from Jack's experience and calmly taught and demonstrated to us! Jim C.
Thank you Jim! I sure do appreciate it
Totally agree. Jack's TrueFire course are simply brilliant and packed with so much valuable guitar playing wisdom!
Hear, hear!
Comprehensive and wonderfully useful, Jack-thanks, as always!
Are these specific concepts taught in the Truefire blues course or is this a stand-alone lesson?
A wealth of knowledge, given away for free to anyone lucky enough to have found this channel. Your generosity is much appreciated as is your sweet as a nut tasty playing. Thanks, cheers.
Thanks Martyn!

Great lessons, let me practice
@@johnhendricks8140 because you're Jimmy Hendricks' brother
What's the chords A F#m and B ?
Jack has a nicely calmed and relaxed way of teaching, very rare on youtube 👌👏
😅😂 by "rare" you mean like every other yt guitar teacher right 😅
@@fallingsky9242 I believe what he meant was that it’s rare to find teaching of this quality on UA-cam. Sure, there are plenty of people showing how to play tunes or some techniques, but Jack has the relaxed and confident delivery of a true pro, which is.
I agree - and if you like Jack, check out :
Active Melody, and Eric Haugen
No marriage ring. That is why he can be relaxed. He does not have a wife-o-low stressing him out.
One of the best lessons I have seen, love the fact it encourages us to make our own melodies and be creative also your laid back style of explaining the theory along with the close up view of the fretboard makes it a top lesson, will subscribe.
He moves just fast enough but doesn't skip important details like "how do I find the 4th or 6th" when comping over the chords. So helpful. I started playing guitar in 1984 and it took me years to gather the information he just shared in 20 minutes. We are fortunate.
What a totally enjoyable lesson. I can't believe how much my playing is improving by learning all your stuff. Cheers.
Man o man but everything you’re showering us with is so smooth!
Thank you Mr Ruch! I am a 62 year old guitar player and thanks to you I learn something new every day! 😊🎸
Awesome! Thank you
Thanks, your lessons are always easy to understand and full of concepts that can be developed over time
This is awesome! Thanks for being very thorough and for using a not I IV V progression to demonstrate it. Triads are king.
Where have you been all my life? How simply and elegantly taught. Truly on of the best lessons I've ever had. Thanks man....
That was an amazing lesson. Thank you so much Jack 🙏❤️
I wish I had this video when I was just starting it would have saved a lot of time and practice! Best rhythm guitar video I’ve ever seen. Keep up the great work!
Your lessons are absolutely the greatest! It's all explained so clearly and easy to understand.
Thank you so much for your work. And your voice works perfectly with these lessons.
Easy Jack, those opening licks were more like hijacking the brain than captivating! 😀😀. Awesome playing! 👍
Thank you!
Dont say Hi Jack on an airplane
This material is so useful and taught in a very gentle way that helps you learn it.
I am an amature self teaching guitar player and i came across your video by chance and got hooked to it. I can not afford to pay for any of your programs coz where i am financially able but thank you so much i will be helping my self to the crumbs i find on UA-cam and practice .
Rhythm guitar is overlooked but in my opinion the best way to develop and improve as a guitar player! Soloing helps with some technical skill but rhythm helps you improve on quick chord changes, following the chords to put in small licks, be more dynamical, and many more things. Great video!
This lesson is fantastic. Thank you so much!
I studied classical mainly as a kid, but I am learning jazz, rock, blues, and r and b now that I am through college and this really helped me improve. After a shoulder injury that I had, slim electrics work much better for me now.
Thank you so much!
(Also, your playing is fantastic)
Wow, Jack, i love this material. I really appreciate your patient explanations and beautiful playing.

Thanks Jack for sharing your tasty fills and feel on this lesson . Always with great phrasing and touch.
Much Gratitude
I thought i only had time a few minutes tonight to listen, but was hooked on the opening lines and captivated for the entire 20+. Great lesson and playing. Inspiring! Thank you sir!
Awesome! Thanks Robert
That was beautiful, thanks for sharing! I'm going to learn all this stuff in the coming days/weeks and then move onto one of your courses.
Thanks! Love the sound of these gospel and r&b music fills!
This is one of the most important and valuable guitar lessons I have ever been fortunate enough to benefit from. I first got turned on to what a rich tapestry rhythm guitar playing could be when I studied and learned the beautiful guitar fills on Rainy Night in Georgia.
Thank you for sharing! Exactly what I've been looking for years!
I really love the excellent melodic and harmonic playing and the very good explanations, they are the key to good guitar playing. Thank you for that! It doesn't get any better! 🤩🖖
Such a great lesson! I really appreciate you making this video!
Beautiful stuff man! Great addition to your TrueFire rhythm course. Thanks for the content. Much appreciated. 👍
Thanks Stephen!
Excellent material!!!! Thank you so much for your time!!!
This has to be one of the best guitar lessons on YT
There's so much to pick up
Many thanks JR
Huge thank you mate! Very coherent and informative, at no cost. I’ll try these right away.
I've been tryin to understand this for years now
Thanks Jack ! Keep Up !
Brilliant. That is such tasteful playing. I love the way your playing bring out the beauty of a simple chord structure
Thank you bro!! I just learned how to move the minor pentatonic scale around the fretboard and I was wondering how to move forward from that and add fills and etc to my playing. Your channel is definitely appreciated!
I love this! I enjoyed this lesson more than anything you e ever done! So musical! Thanks!!
Love your lessons, Jack. Thanks!
Thanks for sharing Jack.
Great lesson with many applications! Love it.
A great lesson...
Seriously this approach you have is supporting and defined.
Thank you for not playing ALL THE TIME what you are doing is perfect.
Amazing lesson. Extremely practical! Thank you 🙏
This is beautiful usable stuff. Fantastic
Great great video! Thanks
Love your chill playing style so much.
This is exactly what I’ve been looking for! Thanks so much Jack 🙌😀
Nice lesson, Jack. Thanks for sharing.
Tnxs Jack, back beat ,snare and voicing....awesome supporting melodic accompanyment ...Nailed it...!
Beautifully played ,bundle of ,,,thnx for teaching such an easy way,,
A real smooth tutelage. Beyond my present skill
Totally inspiring
Thankyou.
Very nicely done.
Vital and imperative points.
Another great lesson. So nice to have intermediate lessons that assumes the player knows a decent amount of theory. And you're showing the stuff I've always wondered how to do but never spent the time learning by ear and analyzing the theory of. I frankly dont like listening to this kind of music enough to spend the time, but have always wanted to play it. I pretty much just listen to jazz rock and metal and blues. Your videos have helped me lately learning how to play in major keys, the missing link in my life. Thank you.
Thanks Jack, this is just what I needed today. And so much gratitude for your generosity here in YT land.
My pleasure!

Great lesson, Jack! Thanks so much!
GREAT lesson Jack! Thank you!! Rhythm playing sometimes gets overlooked.
Wow, this is the exact style I wanted help with. Perfect! About 85% of my entire guitar goals are covered in this one video!! Thanks a lot for this.
Man this is top notch right here brother. Awesome video
This is exactly what I have been looking for. Someone to demonstrate and explain some of these techniques. I've been playing for a long time, but I'm self taught, and there are things I want to learn, or already know, but can't explain. Awesome. I've always loved this style, Steve Cropper and Cornell Dupree. I just learned so much. Thanks Man!

Man you have such a soothing voice, like ice cold whiskey on a summer day. And great playing and lessons to boot!
INCREDIBLE, thanks jack!
Jack, this is fantastic. Thank you sir!
How you don't have 500k subscribers is beyond me. Excellent guitar lessons! Always look forward to more from you. Thanks Jack!
Thanks Dave!

Best ever lesson on R&B fills! Thanks Jack
Thanks Peter!
it is so cool and soothing to listen to you playing.
5 stars.
Exceptional lesson!
This is exactly what I try to do in my band to keep out the way of the other guitarist who chugs away in typical fashion. Nicely put together Jack thanks.
Thank you!
Superb lesson Jack, I have not seen all these ideas explained in one straightforward video. Thank you! Months of inspiration and work for me now.
I LOVE this lesson. My Sunday study :). I am a patron so I will go grab the backing track and get to it.
Thanks Greg!
Great lesson as usual Jack. I love this style of rhythm playing. Hendrix Axis bold as love is a great album for this type of playing and the Stax stuff to of course. Your tone is amazing pleasure to listen to. Cheers
Thank you Anthony!
I am so completely sold on Jack's playing. TASTY doesn't do it justice.
It's been a long time coming for a lesson like this
