I LOVE that you are going full circle with your content. Some of my favorite videos of yours are your OG “ten tips” etc. They are just so fun and motivate me to get my life together 😂
I agree but (and I could be totally off here), I think Sarah's point was more that you should feel confident to follow your own style, rather than resorting to timeless decor, because it feels safe.
I agree, not everyone can afford to replace trendy pieces like a peach couch, the oval dining table, arched mirrors, boucle fabric, concrete furniture, the patterned side tables, and all the checkered patterns. It’s very trendy boho. You can do timeless and not trendy but still have personality. What about vintage pieces? Those aren’t boring and and they aren’t trendy. Her place is very pretty and appealing but it’s far from unique. It looks like every other house on Pinterest from the last 5 years.
Could you do a part two where you talk more about how to keep your home aesthetic and functional with little ones? I struggle because my 9 month old getting into everything and their stuff taking over the house so I would love any tips you have
It’s such a personal thing. Having had the pleasure and privilege of designing and building my on home I would say get the fundamentals right in terms of how you live I mean really live to avoid expensive mistakes. The rest you can have fun with. I avoid design and fashion trends (what’s in and what’s out) because I found that limited my thinking about how I wanted to furnish and dress my spaces. When you are your own client just aim for what makes your heart happy, you are the paying customer. I think Sarah’s design does that for her she adores that pink colour so she has a sofa that colour and matches the tone with other items. All I will say is don’t copy anyone else’s taste unless of course you Truly love it. Have fun creating your space your way. It’s honestly one of my favourite things in life. Much love 🙏
Do you regret your kitchen tile splash back? We are looking at getting the same ones because I love the uneven look, but not sure we’re going to regret the white
I definitely love the video Sarah & I get what you mean about neutrals being “safe” but for some of us neutrals make us feel calm & at peace. I like colour, just not too much of it lol & it doesn’t mean boring.
There are some things I love about your home and others that I would do differently, also depending on what country/climate you live in (Northern Italy in my case). With that said, PLEASE keep the home content going, can't wait for the full home tour!! 😍😍😍
I love this video❤ I think all the people obsessed with this baby vomit beige EVERYTHING in their house and even wardrobe should watch this. I love all the colors that you picked out for your house! We definitively need a part 2, thats for sure!
My husband and I build our first house last year and we built a black kitchen , we had so many "older" people saying you need to a build a house that will sell well and be timeless ,and I'm like why I'm not building this house for someone else I'm building it for me , now.
I’m a huge plant fan (hence my planty UA-cam). I recommend a neon pothos for your home. It would be so beautiful in your kitchen. Or a Marble Queen Pothos ❤️
Didn’t Madeline McTigue from Vic Lake Architects (or Studio Albus) design your home? It’d be suuuper nice to see her credited❤. What you’re talking about here is actually decorating 😅
Yaaaaay. I cannot wait for this!🤩💗 I’ve been rewatching all your old videos going back to the Reno series and even as far back as you moving out of your parents and further and loving it tbh. Needing to get back on track with my goals and feeling inspired and your videos are perfect. Sending lots of love to you and your beautiful family xo
Our styles are super different, but I appreciate these tips so much and really love your advice. Bring on more tips! And also, I'd love a video where you explain why you made certain choices for the house and how you are liking the decisions-- balancing style and practical livability is so important and it's really interesting to hear the thinking behind the final product.
I have just decided to remodel the upstairs room into a home library, so this video couldn't have come at a better time! Thank you Sarah!!!❤️❤️❤️Btw where did you get that large notebook from?
Thank you this was so inspiring. I had to pause it a couple of times to do online shopping cos I wanted to immediately implement some of these. Tip number one is going to help me. My home looks fine but not sure the vibe is good or what I intended so I’m going to work on that with your tip in mind
Loving this. Living as a single mum of two boys I always thought that my home couldn’t be feminine untill I saw how your styled your home, back when you moved into this house. I do like a more minimalistic style, but not the Old Black and White, but white and warm, soft and feminine colours 💕 I loved tip no. 1 and the facts that you keep reminding us to be true to our own unique style. I really do tend to go towards my friends style, because I feel like their style IS beautiful. I think I need to sit down and do a proper “What is my style” chat with myself and towards creating a home that I love. Also agree on the “timeless” trend. If you love an item and want to keep it, it will become timeless to you.
In the end it also just takes time and a lot of trial and error to find your own style. If I think back of my first apartment I could cringe at some of the things I did there and some of the things I did are actually really still my vibe. Now in my new apartment, friends have been telling me it seems like I have really found my style and I think it's so true. Love your house and the tips ❤️
I like this content, I don’t agree with your idea of timelessness. Your style is consistent with trends and they phase out quick. In saying that designing is relative. I like the direction you’re taking though
I think also it depends on what you are decorating. If it’s your forever home and the style is super important to you, agree with the tip. However, if it’s a house you need to sell at some point you tend to need to go more timeless to help prospective buyers visualise living there as you probably wouldn’t want to have to repaint/redecorate again to sell. It’s funny how even though a wall can be painted once someone moves in, a bright red wall may scare off potential buyers for example.
Love this video! We are currently in the process of creating our home and your tips really came in the time. I’d love the new path your channel will follow as I really enjoyed your informative videos!
Built my home a few years ago but idk how to style my home!! My home looks so boring. 😫 But yes thank you for this!! Omg Sarah always bringing in content that we need!! 😅😍
This was ACTUALLY really insightful. I think you gave us a real sense of how you created your homes identity and continued its color story/ material story through your house. You kept to your elements and it’s STUNNING. I live and i love
This was the BEST video!!! Honestly, I love all your videos 🥰 but this one was so fun and different. I’m here for allllll the ideas 👏🏼 your content is the best!! I love your style and your house is absolutely beautiful so I’ll take all the tips! PART 2!!
Omg. I was just thinking of styling my own house someday when I got my own (currently living in an apartment bldg) last night. And I was thinking of yours and Ellie's. Please more of this and can you tag where your pieces are from? Love your home ♥️♥️♥️
SO fun! Love that you're switching gears. Sometimes I want to just listen to your vlogs while I'm driving, but it doesn't make the most sense, so I love the idea of a more podcast like video because I literally just looked up your podcast the other day! Thanks Sarah :)
The love I have for this evolution of Sarah is epic. The fringe, the glow, the jumper and the jump to the photos, everything seems so elevated. So sophisticated, bit achievable. This video was a vibe all of its own in how its edited, my words can do it justice. I just love it.
@Write me up @SarahsDay1 Hi Sarah, thank you so much. I wasn't expecting to win anything I just genuinely loved this new style of video. How do I best contact I'm not very good with tech! Lana
Amazingggg! I cannot wait to design my own home interior one day. I could sit and watch home design videos ALL day. If there is more tips then gimmie gimmie (when mum life gives you chance of course). Sending love x
Hot tip for your kitchen pothos: trim off the really long bits and put them in a jar of water. They will become their own (self watering) plants and the ones you trimmed will have more energy to put out new shoots at the base making them more full and happy!
We need a part TWO Sarah !!!!!
AGREED!!! 🫶
Second, third and fourth this!!!
Yes, please :)!!
Agreed!!!
YESS PLEASEEEE we want it all 🤩
Now we need a walkthrough of the house explaining certain pieces that you feel were very purposefully chosen!!
Yessss an Arch Digest tour of the house
Yasss!!!
We never did get that house tour, did we??
Yessss
I LOVE that you are going full circle with your content. Some of my favorite videos of yours are your OG “ten tips” etc. They are just so fun and motivate me to get my life together 😂
Don’t forget that often timeless=affordable. It’s not always feasible to update home decor as fashion trends change 😌
I agree but (and I could be totally off here), I think Sarah's point was more that you should feel confident to follow your own style, rather than resorting to timeless decor, because it feels safe.

Her place is very pretty and appealing but it’s far from unique. It looks like every other house on Pinterest from the last 5 years.
She also said not to buy everything at one time. If you follow that advice you have time to save up and be more intentional with your purchases.
But that was her point. Something being less timeless doesnt mean that you actually get tired of it, if its your personal style
Your house is beautiful and trendy but I won’t say it’s unique at all. The deco you’re using is basically everywhere.
Could you do a part two where you talk more about how to keep your home aesthetic and functional with little ones? I struggle because my 9 month old getting into everything and their stuff taking over the house so I would love any tips you have

Can you PLEASE do an updated house tour ? I love love love your style
These sit downs are my FAVOURITE and I’m here for it!!! Talk about anything parenting, motherhood, design tips anything hands down best videos
Where did you get the place mats and coasters from? X
I like colour, just not too much of it lol & it doesn’t mean boring.
for those more "boring spaces" maybe try a fun wallpaper, easy to change out and so many cool patterns! or even paint the ceiling!
i don’t even have my own house yet because im still young but, i know im going to come back to this video when i do 🫶🏼🫶🏼
I would love a part two and also showing different “feelings” examples because that was eye opening for me!
Part two would be awesome! Also where are the placemats from? They're great!
I love how you’re showing all sides of your creativity. So in love with these tips !
Love this!! Will we ever get the home tour video? 🥲💜 been dying for it ever since the house was ready lol! Your whole house is stunning!!
Please post part two! I love your home styling tips. 🙌🏼
There are some things I love about your home and others that I would do differently, also depending on what country/climate you live in (Northern Italy in my case). With that said, PLEASE keep the home content going, can't wait for the full home tour!! 😍😍😍
We NEED a part 2 with your tips!! I want to know them all!
You say everyone always asks where the coasters and placemats are from… but then never said where you got them?! They are so cute!
I keep coming back to rewatch ❤ Would LOVE a part 2!
I love this video❤ I think all the people obsessed with this baby vomit beige EVERYTHING in their house and even wardrobe should watch this. I love all the colors that you picked out for your house! We definitively need a part 2, thats for sure!

I agree. I don’t think black is that trendy though. Not like the peach and tan colors. Sarah’s house reminds me of Aspyn Ovards style.
you know it’s gonna be a good day when sarah uploads!!!
Where are the placemats from though???
Sage and clare
Looove this circle back to your og videos and making new type of content.
I’m a huge plant fan (hence my planty UA-cam). I recommend a neon pothos for your home. It would be so beautiful in your kitchen. Or a Marble Queen Pothos ❤️
I’d love to see you go to the shops and find budget friendly options to match all these tips and film where you find them.
Hey Sarah, I would like to see a full on house tour.
I love your style and we see the rooms in your vlogs but never get to see the house at once.
Didn’t Madeline McTigue from Vic Lake Architects (or Studio Albus) design your home? It’d be suuuper nice to see her credited❤. What you’re talking about here is actually decorating 😅
Yes she’s my best friend! She helped us with the floor plans and organising joinery etc. but I selected all of the finishes, furniture and decor 🥰
Also - she doesn’t work at vic lake. She owns studio albums👍🏼
Where are the placemats from please?? I love them
Please tell me you don’t keep your plants in the same container you buy them in… REPOT THEM if you love them so much
I missed a sit down vídeo! (And I love your vlogs, dont get me wrong). Please, share more tips! ❤
I loved this so much! Please make this a series #homedesign
Hi, can you please tell me where you bought the placemats?
we def want another 10 tips!! Love this 😍
Where is the elevated fruit bowl from ❤
We need a part 2 !!! love this thank you!
where are the lovely checkered pillows from?
Our styles are super different, but I appreciate these tips so much and really love your advice. Bring on more tips! And also, I'd love a video where you explain why you made certain choices for the house and how you are liking the decisions-- balancing style and practical livability is so important and it's really interesting to hear the thinking behind the final product.
Where are those measuring spoons from ?! ADORE
I miss this type of video! I feel like so many UA-camrs have switched to just vlogs now but it’s nice to learn something from a more purposeful video!
Where are the placemats from ? 😮
Hi ❤ Can you share where you purchased some of your fave home items? I love your chairs, sofas etc Maybe another video? 😊
Ummm can you just come style my house exactly like yours please because your whole house vibe is 👌🏽👏🏽😍Thanks.
I would love a part two or a series. I love this topic. I also love organizational videos, I find them super motivating to be a better adult.
Heyy sarah love ur vids 💗
Can you make a life update and q and a??
Love! Links for the table flower mats?
Definitely a part 2! I’d love a full home tour too.
Love the video! but the zoom cutting in and out was a bit too much 😬 especially during tip 10... we get the emphasis it wasn't really necessary.
Great now I want to fully re decorate my entire home! Again 🫠
What colour are the curtains behind you? x
Anyone know where the checked cushions are from?
What places do you get your furniture and decor from?
Loving this.
Living as a single mum of two boys I always thought that my home couldn’t be feminine untill I saw how your styled your home, back when you moved into this house. Love these ideas. Home decor is not my thing…so I end up going clean and timeless…although it’s not always clean because of kids! 😂
I like this content, I don’t agree with your idea of timelessness. Your style is consistent with trends and they phase out quick. In saying that designing is relative. I like the direction you’re taking though
Very true. I appreciate your perspective!
I think also it depends on what you are decorating. If it’s your forever home and the style is super important to you, agree with the tip. It’s literally all trends. Checkered patterned and travertine.
Rebuilding our home as we speak and tip number 2 changed everything, thank you!!!!
Definitely need a part two! I’m so happy to know someone else appreciates color and fun. Have always loved that about your home💕
does anyone know where the placemats and coasters are from?
Love this video! We are currently in the process of creating our home and your tips really came in the time. I’d love the new path your channel will follow as I really enjoyed your informative videos!

Built my home a few years ago but idk how to style my home!! My home looks so boring. 😫 But yes thank you for this!! Omg Sarah always bringing in content that we need!! 😅😍
You should check out Paige Wassel. She has the best styling videos. It’s totally different style than Sarah’s though.
Does anyone know where these placemats are from/ the brand 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 thank you!

I am LOVING the new direction your channel is taking, so ready for 2023!
Loved this!!! Yes yes yes to another 10 tips. I could’ve watched this all night!
i find the constant zooming in/out very distracting and jumpy.
This was the BEST video!!! Honestly, I love all your videos 🥰 but this one was so fun and different. I’m here for allllll the ideas 👏🏼 your content is the best!! I love your style and your house is absolutely beautiful so I’ll take all the tips! PART 2!!

Love listening to you talk about decor!
i love so many different styles and i’ve definitely changed my style since becoming a mama but i LOVE your style sezzy! 😍👏
LOVE this kind of video from you. Your passion comes through & is SUPER motivational (and we were talking about pillows/couch cushions 😂).
Amazingggg! I cannot wait to design my own home interior one day. I could sit and watch home design videos ALL day. If there is more tips then gimmie gimmie (when mum life gives you chance of course). Sending love x
Definitely need a part 2 of this!
Anyone know where the placemats she shows are from? Thanks
New Year, new you. You're absolutely slaying at this new road you're taking! I'm sooo on board for this! Can't wait to see more
Where are your coasters from ?! X x x
This is great Sezzy! ❤ (I didn't even think about mirrors)
Hot tip for your kitchen pothos: trim off the really long bits and put them in a jar of water. They will become their own (self watering) plants and the ones you trimmed will have more energy to put out new shoots at the base making them more full and happy!
i love your vlog ❤️ can i ask whats app you use to edit your video?? from INDONESIA 💞
Part 2!! Love this
Do the ‘post pop’ drops work?
Post pop drops???
@@SarahsDay yes you had it in your bathroom vanity from Aesops I believe.
Geez I meant post poop! 😂
I will never get tired of your videos…like ever!!!!! EvA Eva
Hi Sarah so your scalloped placemats on your dining table have lived rent free in my mind for months! Where are they from girl?! 😂 xx
