Amazing and brutal martial art.. Contains techniques that are actually banned in modern muay thai.For instance,the jumping downward elbow to the top of the head.. It's banned in modern muay thai because it's quite easy to kill someone or fracture their skull with it.. Also,no headbutts.. Burmese boxing (Lethwei) could be considering even more brutal because they still allow headbutts. I think they also still allow the downward elbow to the top of the head too. Savage!!

You should watch the ancient art of Bokator. In there, there are no rules. Basically even if you spar with someone, you have to agree what rules are allowed beforehand. Other than that, everything is allowed...

edit. I love how even though it's a demo, it's still like very legit technique it's great, obviously this is the traditional style which differs from modern muay thai in terms of sport

From 0:00 - 3:45 is "Wai Kru". "Wai" = to respect or to honor, "Kru" = teachers or masters. In addition, "Wai Kru" has its own hidden agendas. First, it's for body stretching before fighting. Second, in ancient era, it's for surveying your combat ground. Last but not least, it's for decreasing your opponent morale.

i mean basic ones like the teep or roundhouse or basic knees and elbow strikes but nothing too extravagant like jumping and stepping on someones leg or knee and elbowing the head you kno?
exercise, check the ground environmental, estimate , warning, notice, learning from good master before on fight, adapt for weapons such sword...etc

you're trying to ask two questions... the first one is, why are there no pure muay thai only fighters in the UFC, which has a simple answer... because muay thai and MMA are two completely different sports... it's like boxing vs MMA...
the other part of the question is, although there might not be a PURE muay thai champion in the UFC... there are plenty of fighters that are trained with muay thai... like Petr Yan for example, great Muay Thai style... Kamaru Usman is trained Muay Thai from Trevor Wittman...
the difference is they still have to fight using a hybrid style due to takedowns and grappling etc... meaning you'll never see someone walk around with the traditional Muay Thai stance in the octagon
