Now this, is a review. From start to using it and updating it. I am EXHAUSTED looking for a queen size mattress AND then at the very end was what I wanted to know, very important, stomach sleeping

love my wink bed. I actually believe it helps correct my hips. I'm serious about this too. It's a quality bed and it's been the best bed that I have ever bought.

Mattress shopping is EXHAUSTING! I have gone through a Brooklyn Signature Hybrid, a Nolah Evolution Hybrid, a Brentwood Home Cypress, a Tuft and Needle Mint, and right now have a Purple Plus which I will be returning. All of these in the past four months!! All cause intense back and hip pain (138, 5’5) side sleeper. I’m hoping this will be the perfect one #goldilocks😁

I recommend getting a good physical therapist... they might be able to help by identifying the muscles that are tight or need strengthening. My personal experience is a person's physical body (not the bed) is the primary factor.

@@kevinmsft I do yoga every day, walk for 5 miles and have a PT😊.She did tell me though that since we are essentially immobile during the time we are sleeping, having the right (for me, for you, for each of us individually) mattress goes a long way toward helping alleviate and also avoid pain. I may have found “the one” in the Brentwood Home Latex Hybrid! The Purple Plus…after a few more weeks, has become a joy, however, I wake up with back pain (even though it has turned out to be quite comfy).

@@susieklein7461 Nothing wrong with us Susie, it's all the gimmicks in today's mattress market if you ask me. We are the Guinea pigs for gimmicks. We go to bed feeling great, eat right, exercise right etc etc only to wake up in pain, it's the beds I fully agree. I like you have tried far too many and have decided once again, a decent firm mattress with a 2" topper works for me and toppers are fully refundable no problem via Amazon. I've also noticed the few who like this bed appear to be couples, is that a factor, should it be? Best of luck let me know if you find something under 13" that works for you, I'm at 17" now and the primary reason I'm shopping at all. thanks a bunch.

@@susieklein7461 so the brentwood latex was the one? Or the purple plus? Did you try the softest winkbed? Side sleeper in pain over here..

@@OutsideDuhBox The Purple Plus isn’t bad. But, I am waiting on it to be picked up now. While it helped alleviate my hip pain, it caused new lower back pain. Somehow, it seems the instability of the hyper elastic polymer made my muscles tense as I slept. I currently am sleeping on a 3 inch soft dunlop latex topper over my Tuft&Needle Mint. I am in the process of configuring my first DIY mattress! All latex, consisting of three different firmness levels, encased in an organic knit mattress cover. Price will come in at under $800. Go on Reditt and uou’ll see there is a whole world of people who are brave enough (and fed up enough) to actually make what works for them. I have to say, latex feels really, really nice!

Thank you for your review. Thinking of getting one but on the firmer side. You mentioned that your rotate it every couple of weeks. Does this need to be done in the beginning or throughout the life of the mattress? We are just under 160lb, have s&f 11 inch double-sided for 22 years. Stopped flipping and rotating it about 6 years ago and don't see any sagging or shape change.
Trying to figure out if these are the motions I have to go through with this mattress, I'd rather get another s&f.

I think they said first 3 to 6 months. Going off memory though. I’m type A person so I just do it now the first of every month. We are similar weight to you all. In early age 50s. Still love it. You should call them. They were great on phone back when we got it. Not a fun thing. Getting a new mattress. You’re doing the right thing asking lots of questions

got the softer 2 nights ago. very lush feeling mattress. However it is KILLING my lower back.
i have to wait to exchange it to try the luxury firm model next. i am a side sleeper and I LOVE the way you sink into this but it does get me out of alignment so far. hoping that changes over the next couple weeks cuz I want to keep it!

I have had the softer version for a few months now and decided to try the luxury firm instead because of this same issue. It’s way too soft on my back and I wake up with pain. I did notice that having a partner helps balance out the softness. Anyways, I just got the luxury firm and I’m excited to see if it will do the trick.

Thank for confirmation of my exact complaint, soft yes, support NO! Then when reported, like they don't hear it all the time, they insist we sleep in pain for 30 nights per their policy! The only mfg with this insane policy I've ever found, Very few would buy this thing if it was able to be seen first is my feeling. The pain is extreme and immediate for me. Have you recd your money back yet?

We love it still. I sleep on the extreme side too. Wife is more centered on her side. Love the sheets too still. We are 50 and 53 years old about 120ish and 170ish pounds. 5’8” and 6’2”. So somewhat lean people. Also I still consistently never miss rotating the bed the 1st of every month. Haven’t missed a month. So maybe that plays a part in not having a sagging area.

The GravityLux Soft was the most uncomfortable mattress I ever tried. I ended up purchasing the Tempur-Pedic LuxAdapt Soft instead. Also, beware of Winkbeds' return policy. It makes you believe you can return the mattress at any time during the 120-day trial period, but the company makes you wait at least 30 days before you can request a return/refund. If you use the buy now and pay over time option, you can end up shelling out hundreds of dollars for your first payment, even though you aren't keeping the mattress. The BBB complaints indicate that Winkbeds is slow to issue any refund as well. Customers often have file a dispute with their credit card companies to get the money back, even after the mattresses are returned. Winkbeds pulled out of Amazon due to numerous complaints.

Do you still like your WinkBed? And did it have a "foam" smell out of the box?

    • @jeffhogan7991
      @jeffhogan7991 2 роки тому

Yes. We still can’t believe it worked out. My wife is very picky about mattresses. It smelled a little bit at first. A day or so. We are sensitive too with smells. We don’t use any chemicals or perfumes or colognes etc. everyone though has different smell tolerances. If you have a pillow the softer is for you. That’s what we had. Good luck. These reviews really helped me.
